Overall we are extremely satisfied with how our roof turned out and have received countless compliments from neighbors and visitors about the final product, and ultimately have recommended Green Knight as a result.I thought the sales process went very smoothly and appreciated the consultative approach. If you're currently gathering bids, I'd urge you to partner with a company who only installs metal roof products like Green Knight. After watching the install process, it became very apparent that it's much more skill and labor intensive than laying down shingles. Our entire project took over three weeks because it's truly a custom job (and after months of no rain, we finally got a lot of rain).In general the crew kept the job site clean, though we're still finding metal shards and screws in our shrubs (which I hear is not uncommon). They did make the effort to clean up every day after work, however. I think this is just part of getting a new roof!The last thing I'll say is that with any home improvement project mistakes will happen, so it's imperative that you find a partner that knows what they're doing and will make the situation right IF something goes wrong. Once all was said and done, I can confidently say that Green Knight is one of those companies.If you're not satisfied with the way something is turning out or was installed, they won't abandon you once the project is complete. They're a business that stands by their product, and we're appreciative for the quality of the workmanship as well as their willingness to make things right!

Green Knight was great! We would definitely use them again. Michael, the sales rep, was helpful and knowledgeable about all the options! We had to wait several months for instillation due to supply chain issues, but our roof was worth the wait. The whole experience was great! Ismael, the contractor, texted me daily updates and photos of the progress. After the instillation I noticed the leaf guards were not reinstalled, and they came out quickly to fix the issue. Thank you to the entire Green Knight team for such an awesome experience working with you ALL from start to finish.We called 5 different companies to get a quote. One highly advertised metal roof company wanted to charge us a 150.00 trip charge to come meet us and give us a presentation quote or they could satellite measure our roof and get back with us. I told them NO THANK YOU. One company was a scheduled appointment NO SHOW !! We dismissed 2 companies because they were more shingle specialist type companies that offered some metal roof experience. We called Green Knight to schedule an appointment and Green Knight made us feel like an important priority.Our sales rep Mike took all the time that WE needed getting our questions answered. 2024 Review:Very happy with Green Knight and their workmanship - my roof looks incredible! This is my 2nd time to use Green Knight to install a metal roof on my home – each time they get the job done right and the roof looks great! A severe hailstorm in the Mueller neighborhood, Austin, TX (baseball size) totaled my first metal roof. Neighbors always ask who installed my metal roof because the galvanized metal is clearly visible from all sides of my one-story home. It has become a showcase of how nice a home can look paired with a metal roof. If you have any expectations, questions communicate with the sales rep or supervisor on your job; they will do what they can to work with you. I also recommend you stay actively involved with your install so you can be proactive with any questions you might. At the end of the day, Green Knight is very reputable and I am happy that I again partnered with them. (Mueller Neighborhood)2022 Review: The 5 star rating comes with caveats. #1 stay actively engaged with your crew. There was an initial lack of communication about all the style options available to me i.e. (ridge caps and finishing trim) during the sales process - but once I got engaged with the crew and during the 'walk through' before the work began, there was common agreement on the craftsmanship details and everyone was quite responsive. (I opted for a low profile cap ridge look) The crew was fast, efficient, and respectful of my requests for certain finishing details.Those finishing touches on the metal roof (ridge caps and curb appeal features) were most important to me so I drove around town and took pictures of metal roofs I liked and they replicated the details. They cleaned the work area every day and that was fantastic. I hope they begin to build a portfolio of roofs they have done so you are most informed up front. #2 If you don't like a detail or have concerns speak up with the crew while the work is happening and they will make it right. #3 Their referral program is disappointing - you are told there is a $50 gift card for all referrals you make but it is not really a gift card - it is a $50 credit to select restaurants - a club membership and the $250 cash referral for those referrals who actually sign on is only for the new purchaser - not you. All in all, I got an incredible crew to work on my roof and their Director of Operations is the glue to everything positive that happened at my home. After speaking with Joel, it was an easy decision to make. The Green Night crew was very friendly and professional. I observed the crew throughout the day not to check up on them but to learn about the installation. The crew would always asked me if I had any questions of which I did and they were more than happy to educate me on the process. I could have gone on vacation and not worry about a thing because the crew earned my trust and respect and I was confident the job was going to be completed correctly. Green Knight Roofing (and Michael) did a very nice and professional job for me when they reroofed my entire house. I am preparing for solar panels, and got rid of 6 skylights (the solar panels will cover up the sun from reaching those anyway), which left 6 holes in my roof. As long as I was putting on a whole new roof as part of repairing those 6 holes, Green Knight added 4 inches of insulation (this raising the roof 4 inches).They also installed all new gutters, the end result looks really nice.As part of this, Green Knight did some custom new changed routing of my gutters. One of the old gutters had a really ugly downspout right in the center of my back patio, so Green Knight figured out how to route it away in a different direction to get rid of the down spout blocking the view.Opportunistically, I needed to run ethernet cables from end to end of my house and trenching through drywall would have been absolutely brutal. So I had Green Knight "pause work" after they ripped off the old roof and let me string a bunch of network cables on the underlayment of the roof, then Green Knight put down the extra 4 inches of insulation, then Green Knight put the metal roof on top. It worked beautifully well and was "free" and took about 20 minutes for me to string networking all over my house.I'd use Green Knight again.Services: Gutter installation, Roof installation

This rating for me was because the project was “good”. I was placated enough to sign off on the final approval.This was partially because after 2-3 weeks from materials being dropped off to the final time the crew came by, I was tired of dealing with it.I didn’t know what to expect going into this as a new homeowner but wasn’t impressed. Not only was every single date I was told by my project manager wrong (yes every. Single. Date) and only 1 time did the project manager message me to tell me that timelines had changed.I spoke up to my sales consultant after a few days went by after I was told the crew would arrive to begin the project, and Green Knight promptly sent a crew of 2 people over the next day to begin the project.I have never heard of a crew of 2 people for a roof, and while working from home full time, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience to drag this out so long. On top of this, I have a dog who enjoys the yard. Crew frequently left the gate open after leaving for the day, occasionally left food scraps and trash in the yard that my dog found his way into as well.When the crew had taken off the shingles, they did not completely remove the original tar paper underlay, but instead stapled the new synthetic underlay on top. My project manager told me this was normal - but that isn’t what I expected. For a roof that is supposed to last 50 years, it seemed like corners were being cut unnecessarily.My project manager only visited the job site 3 times, once before the project began, once one day for a 5 minute walk around (without touching base with me) and then after the crew had finished for a final walk through.I’m not interested in managing the project myself, and when my one point of contact is completely absent, it’s not giving me confidence.Make sure you have open soffit vents because while I’m happy that my gabel vents were closed (for thermal efficiency) my soffit vents were clogged up before the project started. My sales consultant told me the crew would make sure they were open, but at the final walk through my pm told me I could clear them out myself. I was able to open them up myself, but I didn’t anticipate having to finish the job myself. If I didn’t have intimate knowledge of my vents going into this, the resulting product would have been a completely sealed attic, rendering my ridge vent useless.The crew cleaned up nails and trash very well at the end, and overall I’m happy with the final product. However, for the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought with cash in my life, I was not impressed with the process. I’m thankful that Green Knight was able to do this project for me during such a huge demand of roofing in the area, but unfortunately this high demand may have caused the customer service side to suffer.

Our experience with Green Knight was nothing but positive, beginning with our initial salesman, Brett, to the finished product. Ours was a relatively large roof (almost 8,000 sq feet) with lots of angles, skylights, etc.It rained shortly after demolition of the old roof began.. we had leakage inside the house in several places.. within minutes it seemed, Joel, the onsite supervisor was on the premises with 3 helpers up in the attic, while the roofers were up on the roof, in the rain, getting tarps over the exposed areas. There was a bit of ceiling discoloration afterward, but they quickly sent drywall and paint guys who did a very professional job of restoring everything back to normal.Once the job was complete, the crew spent a good half day making sure every nail and metal scrap was picked up and discarded.It was a long (almost 4 weeks) and anxious process, but Joel, Ishmael, and the crew were right on the job to remedy the numerous things that went wrong. This was likely the job from hell for this crew, but they persevered and the end result is a beautiful, natural finish roof that exudes quality and craftsmanship.We're confident we couldn't have chosen a better roofing company, and highly recommend to anyone considering a metal roof. Apparently metal roofs is the only thing they do, and they clearly have the entire process, including customer communication, down to a science!Dripping SpringsService: Roof installation

What a great team! We used Green Knight to install a metal roof on our 60 year old house. From the initial sales consult to the final walkthrough they were professional and communicated clearly. They were able to answer all of our questions promptly and help us chose the right roof for us. The crew doing the installation were very careful and my new roof is BEAUTIFUL! I felt like I was in good hands the whole time and would recommend them for sure. I would not hesitate recommend Green Knight. I'd even leave 4.5 stars if possible. They just finished a metal roof install on my 1963 vintage house. The finished product looks fantastic, and we've had multiple rounds of thunderstorms pass through and all is good. The guys busted their rears scraping off FIVE layers of tar paper in the heat. God bless them. They got all the way down to plywood.I'm pretty mellow, so delays due supply issues, COVID, a super wet spring didn't bother me. Why 4.5 stars instead of 5? Well, here it is (yes, rather nit picky in the grand scheme of things).#1) The installers just showed up on a Monday without warning. There was a miscommunication in the office, so they started shingle removal without a dumpster on day 1. The dumpster showed up the next day. Other than this hiccup, communication was really, really on target.#2) Due to alignment issues, both vent stacks to the water heater (gas) and the furnace (gas) were disconnected at the appliance - from moving them on top of the roof. I would have gladly disconnected them to make the alignment easier. Thankfully I noticed that the water heater vent was disconnected (located in garage) and then checked the furnace. Carbon Monoxide is no joke. Check your vents when install is done.All in all, I'm very satisfied. I turned in my roof certificate to my insurance company. They're saying it's gonna save me over $500/yr!Service: Roof installation

I had a great experience with Green Knight. We had hail damage and were needing to get a new roof installed. I got quotes from a few different roofers and was really happy with the quote from Green Knight - even though it was a few dollars more.What I liked about Green Knight was that they were fully insured, they ONLY install metal roofs, and that they offered a warranty that I thought they could stand behind (as they have been in business for a couple of decades!). I was also happy with being able to lock in the price of the metal roof with my first deposit.My only initial hesitation was how they installed their roofing directly on the decking vs on furring strips. I actually called the metal roofing material manufacturer, and spoke with an engineer who let me know that this was a valid installation method.Overall - the installation process was super easy. The longevity and attractive appearance of our new metal roof means we won't need to replace the roof on this house again, and it will increase the value when we sell.The company was thorough and professional from the first meeting to the final walkthrough. Brett took the time to understand what we were looking for and helped us decide what would work best for us. He developed a clear statement of work, then reviewed it with us and answered all our questions to make sure we shared a clear understanding of what to expect.Throughout the project, we were always kept up to date regarding the status of the project (including delays and issues that inevitably pop up). Andres, the project manager provided regular (usually daily) updates which always included asking if we had any questions, problems or concerns.The Green Knight installation crew was great. They arrived on time, did their job in a very efficient, professional and courteous way, and left the site neat and clean at the end of each day. Their skill, craftsmanship and attention to detail was amazing. Our job included a complex roof area that we knew from the start would be a challenge. It took a lot of work and re-work get it right, but they brought in their sheet metal Jedi to create custom sheet metal parts that enabled a solution we're very pleased with.At the end of the job, they did a thorough inspection and detailing, ensuring that everything was completely sealed, screw heads were painted and any scratches were repaired using paint from the panel manufacturer.Having witnessed the craftsmanship and attention to detail during the installation, we don't anticipate needing to take advantage of their 5 year workmanship warranty, but it's evidence of the company's passion for quality service and customer satisfaction. We're very happy that we decided to step up from shingles to a metal roof and that we selected Green Knight as our contractor.

We had planned to replace our 20 year old roof with a new metal roof while building an addition to our house. As the addition project was delayed, Green Knight worked our project in two phases. They installed the new metal roof on the main house, then came back and removed panels necessary for the addition to be tied into the main house. When the addition was ready for roofing they came back and installed metal roof on the addition, and integrated it with the main house. During the construction phase they also supported us by repairing leaks (multiple times) caused by contractors working on the addition. The support, multiple trips, emergency responses from Brett, Ismael, Joe and the team were great. Green Knight did a fantastic, thorough job. They replaced our 45 yr old concrete tile roof. We had multiple issues as a result of our aging roof. Everyone associated with our project worked together to help solve the problems. We have a roof/upper deck connection that required custom metal fabrication. NO MORE LEAKS!!! The installation crew did an amazing job. Always on time, worked hard all day and always kept the work area clean when they left at the end of the day. We are very, very happy with our gorgeous new roof and how our house looks. THE BEST!!
