I hired Apex Contractors to redo cabinets in the Kitchen and the floor in the Master Bedroom, Living Room, Dining room, hall. Shawn Sims was renting my house at this time, and there was a major water leak, so I hired him to redo the items. After 5 months, and the project 1/2 complete, I had to evict him from my house. He did not finish the work and he and Geneva Bracken (his wife?) left the house in a mess, the outside a mess.I would NOT recommend hiring Apex Contractors or renting to Shawn Sims and Geneva Bracken.He may even change the name of his company, but watch out for Shawn Sims and Geneva Bracken

Today is day 18 of a 3 day shower remodel. Shawn Sims is trying to charge us $2700 for an $800 shower remodel, and threatening to put a lien on our home if we don't give him more money.Shawn Sims (owner of Apex Contractors) has also refused to pay his sub-contractors, even though he has $10,400 of our money. At this point, we are preparing to sue him and his company, in an effort to recoup our money and get the sub-contractors paid.With all of this he is now also trying to force us to allow him to use subpar supplies in our deck, instead of all Cedar as we were quoted. And, again, claiming that if we don't let him he will put a lien on our house for not letting him do the work. Even his employees are agreeing that we are in the right, and he is wrong.#Apex #Contractors in #Bastrop has made something that was supposed to be exciting, turn into a total nightmare. I really thought that they would be different, but the owner, Shawn, doesn't know how to keep his word, write down his words, or even keep his contracts. NEVER do work with these guys. You most likely will not get what you are paying for, if anything at all.Looks like we now have to go to court over all of this...#noshower #nightmare #contractorhell
