Taylor was outstanding as the PM for Hometown Roofing and Restoration. He was very responsive and took extra care to continuously communicate and ensure the job was done correctly. Whenever there were issues, I knew that Taylor would make sure they were corrected and that the job would be done correctly. Hometown Roofing did a great job for us. They were in and out in one day. In that day, they completely removed the old roof and paper underlayment and replaced every bit of it. The members of the team were friendly to each individual and warm to offer interest to my questions and thoughts. they used huge Right like devices to pick up the loose nails after the job was done. Even though they did this we're still picking up Roofing nails. That is after they use the devices and visually inspected around the house. Because of their promptness and their politeness and their commitment to getting the job done and doing it in , Leave a review with five stars. I do recommend them.

See for yourself!! They did a fantastic job and exceeded any expectation we could have imagined. John knows his stuff! He met with our insurance inspector, and he climbed every roof himself before he arrived. He made sure we got every penny to repair the roof damage for all of our metal roofs. He even looked for possible damage on my chicken coop! The roof was done within the promised timeline. David or Ryan were here every day to oversee the project. Save yourself the disappointment of calling another company, call these guys!!

Hometown Roofing did a great job replacing my hail damaged roof with no required up-front payment. Sales reps were helpful. Workmanship was GREAT and workers were mostly careful. Cleanup was exceptional. Followup after install was a little light but they did fulfill EVERY request.Let me add that Hometown found and resolved multiple issues overlooked by the last several roofers -- house is about 50 years old, with some rotten sheathing and FOUR extra layers of tar-paper -- all covered within their cost estimate. Thanks, Hometown!

Cannot recommend more highly! Stef Rogers was unbelievable. I had other roofing companies fail to get my insurance company to approve a new roof from the hail damage we had. But Stef made it happen. John helped us on a Sunday afternoon, to address issues related to a home inspection report on the home we were trying to sell. His expertise and knowledge of the metal roofing system on our home, helped clearly explain to the potential buyers that there was no need for the extra repairs, noted on the report, and that if the suggested repairs were facilitated it would be detrimental to the existing metal roof. I would highly reccommend Hometown Roofing & Restoration, to anyone in the Boerne, San Antonio, Comfort, area.

They stayed in-touch with me throughout the process, explained every step, and provided on-time estimates, description of work, and certifications. I am not saying to avoid them, but use my experience to decide if they are the company for you. Great first impression, however several mishaps left me frustrated and regretting my decision.If you have solar, beware. The sales rep recommended someone to remove/reinstall the panels and that person quoted me over twice as much as companies I searched out on my own. The roofing sales reps solution was just to ask my insurance company for more supplemental money as opposed to addressing the root issue of his “recommendation” trying to take advantage of me and my insurance claim. Dealt with the roofing company’s manager who quoted someone reasonable and I went with his recommendation to make the process easier but that was a mistake. When the panels were reinstalled, they messed up the reinstall to the point that the company who fixed the panels had to turn the system off because it was a fire hazard and then eventually do a complete remove and reinstall all over again.Additionally, I had four leftover packs of shingles that the roofing crew left behind. The manager was in my neighborhood several days later and took them from my driveway without asking/informing me. I questioned the manager when my wife shared the camera footage with me and his response was they should have taken them when my shingle install had been completed. My question is, I paid for those, if they are taking them, should I not get a credit for them? The manager did say he’d bring me a pack to which he never did.As for the quality of the install, I guess time will tell. You have a lot of options and many roofers do a great job, so if you’re still reading this, I ask that you do your research, and not choose a roofer that will just do a good job but will also treat you with respect. Best of luck in your roof repairs.*** UPDATE ***11/11/2023 - the owner replied to my review. Unfortunately it’s inaccurate. He is claiming their solar panel removal/quote was based on the insurance provider’s information, but the gentleman who came out to quote me for this service quoted me for 16 panels, so the owner is misleading in his response. What he is failing to recognize is that the company who quoted the solar panel work saw my insurance quote so they added on all these fees/parts to add up to what the insurance money that was allotted for.What he is also failing to mention is that he himself told me their submit a refund for unused material which they never did.The confusion is on the company, not the homeowner and is choosing to mislead the few people that will read this google review.11/01/2023 - I received an email a few days ago from the owner who tried to explain to me that the quote for my panels was because the quote was essentially a double charge as they quoted for twice the amount of panels. I am not sure if he was being untruthful on purpose or if his team gave him the wrong info, but he is incorrect and the quote was clearly an overcharge on purpose and not an oversight. He also tried to tell me that the packs of shingles were theirsl because they credit product not used which again is not the case because my insurance company or I have yet to receive any credit. I did express I would be filing a theft of property unless they resolved the issue to which I did not receive a reply after I expressed I would not be updating my review. Final conclusion, do not recommend.

The owner, John, and his right-hand man, David, are extremely professional, honest, kind and very easy to work with. They have high standards and it reflected in each step they took in completing our roof. Not only did they do a superior job of installing a new black metal roof after a horrendous hail storm, they worked with our insurance company and handled all the interaction and business details. Hometown Roofing and Restoration made sure that our insurance covered every single thing that was damaged. In addition to their superb work with insurance companies, we were very impressed with the roofing crew. The crew went the extra mile in putting up big tarps to protect our landscaping, was very thorough in picking up nails, etc and kept the site very tidy.
