We had a great experience with Ja-Mar roofing when the metal roof blew off our large shop building. The rep who responded, Jeff Huggins, treated this project like it was his own home. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Jeff went above and beyond while we were waiting for the new roof to be put on. He made extra visits to personally help prevent additional water from getting into the building when we were expecting rain. The new roof looks great and is more water tight than ever now. Replaced my entire roof in April 2024. The entire roof was completed within 1 day.My frustration is with communication and billing. Regarding communication, the date of the installation was not coordinated with me in advance. I received an email with the date and little instructions. I used a third-party loan company (they provided the link) for the full amount. It is now 3 weeks later and I still do not have a receipt. The receipt is needed for my Homeowners insurance. This delay has no anticipated end date. I've even been contacted by the loan company inquiring about billing.The best part is that the roof installed is great quality. The workers protected my yard and grass and cleaned up after themselves.Bottomline: Great workmanship, but needs to improve communication and billing.

I wish I could give them 6 stars!!This past year I purchased my first home and after some unexpected hail I was stuck needing to purchase my first roof! Ja-mar and subcontractor Family Roofing knocked it out of the park. A big purchase like this can be overwhelming and cause second guessing but we were confident in our choice with Ja-Mar. We are very happy with the roof, gutters and service. I had one other company come out to quote our replacement after Jeff Huggins looked at our roof. Jeff was very professional, honest, and informative. He was easy to reach and quick to respond. Kim Hamilton helped with billing issues that came up and was also very friendly and professional. Today I met with a gentleman named Jeff Huggins. He is the one that was sent out to inspect a roof that we were trying to determine how much damage there is, and if we could move forward with filing a claim with insurance, or if it would be best to do any repair out of pocket. Jeff accessed the roof and inspected it thoroughly. Once he gathered all of the information he needed, he made the recommendation that he thought was best. He certainly was honest, kind and direct. He provided the information we needed in order to proceed the best way for the circumstances we have. Working as a Realtor, I have called JaMar for clients that I've worked with in the past, and was very happy, but this time was for a family friend of ours, and once again we were not disappointed. I'll continue to call Ja-Mar Roofing in the future, and recommend this place to anyone I know that needs help. Thank you to all the folks at Ja-Mar from Brian, who found a small leak, temporarily patched it and met insurance adjusters on our roof, to Nikki and Wendy who helped with shingle color selection and scheduling, to David Phillips, the owner, who priced and accommodated our needs and schedules, to Eric, who was the lead on our re-roofing project. A big thanks also to the Family Roofing team, for getting our 3500 square foot home re-roofed and restored back to normal in two days. Their roofers were prompt, efficient, quiet and cleaned up everything beautifully. We could not be more pleased with our new roof. It looks fantastic.

Ja-Mar roofing is absolutely a great company for your roof work. They completed two jobs for me over a span of 4 months. The first one is a total roof replacement due to the hail damage. The second one is fixing a roof leak. The sales rep Jeff Huggins is very knowledgeable and professional. The quote price is fair. When we needed a new roof, Ja-Mar was our first choice. They had done repairs for us in the past and we knew they were trustworthy. Ken contacted me quickly, presented several options, and explained the benefits and drawbacks of each. We ultimately chose the GAF roof system that looks great and has a fantastic warranty. Replacement took one day (plus another for rain gutter removal and reattachment). The crews were on time, skilled and efficient. Clean-up was orderly and thorough, so kudos to the whole team (who worked through the day in 107-degree heat). If you have roofing needs, Ken brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. Excuse my screen name, this review is from Collin over in Shadow Creek.I was calling around to get some quotes for a roof, and Ken at Ja-Mar responded first. When I talked to him on the phone, I already knew he was the person I wanted to work with. He is a very cool guy. I can tell he wants to help people, and is no phony! He gave me a quote and I didn’t even flinch. No hidden fees, no trying to upsell things. I really appreciate that because talking to contractors and salespeople can be super stressful. Ken made me feel relaxed and it wasn’t awkward. He believes in the product, too.The men came and did almost the entire roof in one day. It was over 100° outside, and I don’t know how they did it. They are very tough men, and competent. The roof looks absolutely amazing. Honestly it looks so good, it really highlighted how dirty everything else is. So now I have work to do getting things to a different standard.They installed a ridge vent, and although this is only my second day with a ridge vent, I swear it feels cooler in our house. Really, the peak of the roof is where you want the venting. Now I plan to add some extra vents to my soffits to bump the airflow up a little. I am really impressed with it.Everyone I talked to with Ja-Mar made me feel comfortable, and they’re all knowledgeable and nice folks. Even the guys working in that insane heat were still professional and courteous. I messed my leg up about a week ago and have to use a cane and hobble around, and one of the guys even offered to help me. That’s too nice, nobody offers that, especially a man to another man. Ken Kelly was very nice and great at explaining the process in detail (ie: installation and clean up). The workers who came out to do the installation were very good but forgot to close a couple gates; also, two of our outdoor solar lights were broken. All in all, I would definitely recommend them.

The recent typical Texas high wind rain storm, ripped off a section of shingles on our 14 year old roof. I called Ja-Mar and the response was incredible. The repair tech, Brian was on-site the next day to tack down the loose sections to prevent further damage and returned the following week to complete the repair.
