Catalano Enterprises was A pleasure to work with, as we remodeled our 2 bathrooms. Randy made sure every detail was on point and to our satisfaction. He even went so far to fix an issue for us, at no extra cost. Our insurance company agent, was happy with the company we chose. Our agent confirmed that many household owners have used this company with no concerns. Very reliable and trustworthy. The contractors were very hard working and kind. Thank you for taking care of us. We are highly satisfied.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN!! He is a complete liar and a joke!! Every bad review that you have read on this site are the absolute truth!! I can only think that he paid or made fake accounts to write those couple of good reviews!! We had water damage at our house, we needed new flooring through out, tiling, painting, and all that comes with getting these things done. 5 months!! 5 months it took this man to complete our home. When we first meet with him, he told us two weeks!! It was lie, after lie. Lies we caught him in. Days my husband would be sitting waiting for his subcontractors to come and no one would show. He would tell my husband everyday someone was coming, no one would show up. After a week of no one showing up, finally they come, for a couple days, then no one for 3-4 days. And he still would tell us someone was coming but my husband had the subcontractors number and they would tell my husband, I didn't talk to him, I never told him I would come out today!! He forgets what needs to be done too. All the time we had to remind him. He doesn't answer phone calls, text messages, and emails. Countless times we tried to get a hold of him nothing!! Countless times subcontractors would be here that could complete work and because this guy wouldn't remember to tell them, couldn't pay them, who knows, work sat uncompleted. Then he told us in December, that he was going to order our vanity, he wasn't going to wait for the insurance, he was going to start just knocking things out. December he told us this!! Here is the best part!!  Countless times since December he had told us oh it's shipping issues, oh I think it's at the warehouse, oh let me get back to you. Then finally in February it miraculously comes in, my guys will be there Monday at 8:30 to install. Monday come well they can't bring it, it's raining, Tuesday same thing. Didn't hear from him the rest of the week, wasn't raining, wouldn't answer his phone. Countless repairs already had to be done because this guy is so lazy, he doesn't bother to manage his own projects!! We have to point out everything!! Unfinished work!! Then this guy comes to our house, which we had to move back to an unfinished home because it had already been 4 months at this point. He stands in our dining room and admits he dragged his feet on the vanity because he was trying to get more money out of the insurance company. He never had ordered it!! We had already paid him half, and then extra we owed for other things and he had the audacity to ask for full payment when the work had not been completed!! The as if that was not bad enough, tried to throw the contract in our face where there is a clause that if materials are delayed due to shipping you have to pay. Are you frickin kidding me, he had just admitted that he never ordered it!! This man, never took responsibility for his actions even we called out!! Never apologized, nothing. I truly think he thinks he is good at his job!! I am telling you, NEVER, I MEAN NEVER GIVE THIS MAN YOUR BUSINESS. IT MAKES ME SICK to think he got paid all this money and just is horrible at what he does. I don't understand how he is still in business!!

My elderly Mother lived by herself in San Antonio and in 2019, had flooding in her bathroom from the bathtub. Based on USAA’s recommendation, we hired Randy from Catalano Enterprises to be the GC to get the bathtub fixed. I wished I would’ve been more involved, but I remember my Mom constantly telling me that communication with Randy was challenging and things took much longer than expected to get fixed. Finally, the work completed (or so we thought) in late 2019 which included new fixtures on the bathtub.Fast forward four years to November of 2023 and my Mom is now selling her house. During inspection it was noted that the water stream coming from the hot side of the bathtub was coming out at a trickle. Mom never noticed because she is elderly and does not take baths. We had a plumber come out to assess the situation, and to our surprise, was told by this plumber that the wrong type of fixtures were installed in the bathtub (they were fixtures intended for a sink, not a bathtub), and that was why the water came out at a trickle.I personally left five messages for anyone at Catalano to call me back to get help with the situation, but no one returned my calls. I also sent an email to Catalano that was returned with a message saying “Refused”. USAA tried contacting Catalano Enterprises multiple times via voice and email and no one returned their messages either. At least call us back to say that you were not going to correct what was done wrong in the first place… don’t just ignore our messages.I would encourage people to read all the other reviews about this company, as it looks like this was not a one time event. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this is the only remaining avenue to provide feedback since Catalano has yet to return one phone call or email since November 2023.

I recently discovered water damage in my newly purchased, previously owned home. After water mitigation was completed and my home was dried out, Catalano Enterprises took over the job of repairing my home. Randy and his crew rebuilt my kitchen cabinets, replaced the kitchen flooring, repaired and retextured drywall, painted my home, completely tore out my shower and replaced it with the most gorgeous shower that I have ever seen.Throughout the project Randy took the time to patiently answer my questions and keep me informed about everything that was being done. When Randy began the repair work he said that his number one goal was for me to be happy with the results. I am extremely pleased with the work done on my home and the time taken to complete it. Randy and crew did a wonderful job meeting our needs and additional requests. Catalanos removed and installed new wood floors, repaired and refinished drywall, painted walls, replaced all trim, installed recessed lighting, installed ceiling fan, leveled uneven floors, and ensured all plumbing was intact after floors were complete. Very professional and competent company. Definitely user friendly and easy to contact if issues arise. I have used Catalano Enterprises several times over the last dozen years for: water repair damage on the ceiling from a leaking pipe, scraping of the popcorn ceiling and repainting, and the removal of fluorescent lights and adding recessed lighting in the kitchen. Catalano was initially referred to me by USAA for a water leak that I had in the kitchen ceiling. I was so impressed with Randy's work, that I kept going back to him for future repair jobs. The most recent job was replacing the rotted trim around the garage door and the painting of the garage door and trim. Seeing how my driveway sloped downwards towards the garage door, Randy thought it would be best to replace the wood trim with a vinyl trim. The seal around the garage door is so much better now that it's warm in the garage on these cold December nights. I recommend Catalano Enterprises for any home repair jobs that you might need.

Worst mistake to even consider them for work needing done in regards to a claim. The owner Randy did an assessment after showing up late, was cordial during the assessment and vaguely set expectations and made promises of sending for different types of materials. Then his office manager Shanna sent over a contract without any of the estimates promised at the time of the assessment. Multiple calls to Randy and the office were not returned and when I finally got a hold of the office manager Shanna she said Randy would call that day. After yet more time passed without any calls from Randy called back again repeatedly and when I was finally able to get a hold of the officer manager Shanna I advised that I would not be doing any upgrades through them just finish out the claim since they already had the insurance check. She promised to put me on the schedule right there if I would send the signed contract and pay the deductible up front which I did while on the phone. When I asked for the date to start work she quickly said she would call back and then disconnected the call. No contact since then, this contractor is unresponsive, lies, and completely shady.My advice to anyone that comes across this contractor is to RUNUpdate: absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. The only response I have ever received was to this review. This company will never respond otherwise; no return emails and no return on phone calls. They now have an answering service so they don’t have to talk to anyone. They have not done anything beyond an estimate and will not return my deductible Absolute scam!

Catalano offers decent work if you are willing to manage the project yourself. Their sub contractors seem to be adequate. But their planning, communications and follow-up are a mess. They make promises that they never keep and never pro-actively follow-up on project work. Calling them makes little difference since they never respond. My project is now 2 years old and is not complete. I have gone as long as 10 months with no call from them. I have no idea why USAA uses a company with standards this low.Catalano's response below is not true. We did not agree to put off repairs. I suggested that I could be "flexible" during the repairs because of Covid. Catalano responded "No, it's at the top of my list. I want to get this done." They subsequently scheduled 2 different times for repairs to begin and then did not show up to either appointment. I did not hear from them again for 10 months. I called, they stalled. Then didn't call back at all. They are responding now because I elevated the issue to the highest levels of USAA. I highly advise anyone planning on doing business with this company to reconsider. There is absolutely no communication, follow through, and their work does not hold up. I moved into a new home about 6 months ago. The roof had been redone in the last year by Catalano Roofing. Over a month ago, after a pretty heavy rain, I realized the roof was leaking both from the ceiling and down the walls. I contacted Randy, who I believe is the owner, via his cell phone number provided to me by the previous owner of my home. The next day some guys came out and put a temporary fix on the roof (a blue tarp and some rocks to hold it in place) and then said I should hear back from someone to come out to complete the fix. No one called. After a week I began to call. The receptionist took several messages but I was not contacted back for another 2 weeks. Randy then came out, looked at the damage and said he would contact me and set up a time to complete the repairs. That was over 3 weeks ago. I have called numerous times and left messages to no avail.Service: Roofing

This was a USAA recommended contractor 6 years ago and we had to have it replaced already. One thing the newest company found was a patch in the roof that Catalano hid with their new shingles. You will regret hiring Catalano. Don't be fooled by the first impression when they're trying to get your business. They will not follow through.The delays are ridiculous. The communication is bad. You will not know what the delays are for or when the delays will end, and you won't be able to reach Catalano by phone or text to find out.You and your family are worth more than the treatment Catalano will give you. Excellent work!!!!! Chris, Terry & Barry did an awesome job on our remodeling project. We were referred to Catalano through our insurance company because we had water damage to our house, so right away we knew that Catolano could be trusted since USAA had already vetted them. Our project consisted of sheet rock, paint, and flooring. Everything turned out perfectly and they paid close attention to detail.

Great job repairing damage from having to reroute water line after slab leak. Paint job was excellent and they even cleaned the entire second floor carpet. Thry are contracted through USAA so they can be trusted. Left them the keys to the house so I did not have to leave work.

This company was selected by USAA insurance company to repair water damage. It was over a year and a half and I am still waiting on a job that I was told would take 2 months. The work they did on my house was done on the cheap and needs to be redone. USAA had to cash me out to find someone to fix their mess. Terrible customer service and overall experience.Updated.....You must not had read the posting. NEVER AGAIN.

I was not impressed with this company at all. From the beginning of the process to the end of the process, I think I could have found far better companies but this was one was recommended by my insurance company and truthfully, I had to contact them to recommend undoing their recommendation. When the process to repair my hail damage started, it seemed great- they quickly got out there, quickly wrote it up...after that, well, that was where it got interesting. It took weeks for us to get them to return a call as well as even let us make our deductible payment so they could order the materials to get started. They would say "our assistant will call you back tomorrow to get payment" and then nothing. We'd call back, nobody would answer. Frustrating. Two and a half weeks later, we finally got that squared away. That was in May. It is now June and they finally show up to work on the siding. But that's just it: they just showed up. No call, no e-mail, nothing. The siding guys weren't bad...they went to work removing the siding but by 3:00, there was no siding yet at the site so they were sitting around on the side of the house chilling...awkward. Then the roofers...this is what almost brings them to a 1-star. The roofers showed up on Friday morning (again, no call) which was funny because I was told they wouldn't get to the roof until the following week...SURPRISE! I had taken my suit jacket to the cleaners and when I came back, there was no where to park my vehicle...I had to park it a quarter mile away and walk. Fun times. I had a pipe crack in the morning and was gushing water into the backyard...I couldn't go out there because they were tossing nails and stuff around so for three hours it leaked. I was pretty pissed off but what made it worse was that the roofer told me "oh yeah, I saw that this morning but thought it was your laundry drain." A laundry drain doesn't pulsate several hundred gallons of water up out of the ground...but he never said anything! To make it worse, when I had to turn the water off to the house so the plumber could make the repair, he was pissed at me that they couldn't refill their water coolers from my hose like it was my fault! And it gets better- one of the workers cut his hand somehow (not a surprise- they were throwing debris everywhere including into my neighbor's yard hitting his dog) and asked my wife for a band-aid and hydrogen peroxide. She gave it to him, but that wasn't enough: he wanted her to put it on him and look at it to see if it was infected! My wife is a teacher, not a damn nurse. And it still isn't done- they didn't finish Friday night so they decided to come back (having left without letting us know they were done or their plans) Saturday morning. My car was in the driveway because I was working in the garage but he rolls up and says "we need to pull the truck up so move your car." It is Saturday...we had plans and now we are stuck in the garage because they didn't contact us! And now the coup-d'-grace: they were charging their cell phones from my outlets. I get electricity to work your equipment being used (drills and maybe a portable compressor, though a gas one would be better) but personal equipment like a cell phone sitting at the outlet outside my front door is not cool! And the one guy pulled stuff out of my trash cans on the side of the house! I do not recommend this company and I am saddened because Chris (the appraiser) was great, and we had considered initially having them remodel our master bathroom but after this, I want this experience done and I don't want to ever use them again.

This company was selected from my insurance company to repair water damage. It has been over a month and I am still waiting on a job that I was told would take a week. This could have been acceptable had communication been a factor. Not a single member on the team has apologized for the inconveniences or lack of communication. Terrible customer service and overall experience.

Wonderful Italian food. Huge portions, the focaccia bread is to die for! The pizzas are out of this world and are served on a buffet on Wednesdays and Fridays. Love, love, love this place!
