Mr. Maldonado, the owner, did a great job on the replacement of our roof. He gave a thorough explanation on what needed to be done and proposed a reasonable cost proposal for the work performed. He also assisted in coordinating with my insurance company to insure full cost of the roof replacement. My roof was replaced back in 2017 and I've had no issues since. I highly recommend this company for roof work.

Simply put Jesus Maldonado the owner of this business is at best shady & incompetent and at worst engaged in predatory business practices. He charges exorbitant fees for repairs that don't work and actually have caused damage. For example he charged us $6,000 to repair a termite damaged area of a house under a window with stucco. This area has now sunk and is cracked worse than before. He did not use termite resistant wood inside the wall. The insurance adjuster that looked at this job said it was at best a $1,200 job. He also 'repaired' a roof. Not only is the roof still leaking weeks after the repair we now have to get a completely new roof put on the house. This charge was nearly $5000.00. He's extremely opaque in his business dealings in that he refuses to list or quantify the services he is rendering on an invoice. He then disputes any attempts to recoup lost money because he never listed specific services. However, he is refusing to honor his one hundred percent guarantee that is printed on his invoice and on his website.To be fair he did perform some minor maintenance electrical work and installed some turf that seems to be fine however these were very small jobs in comparison to the large bill received on a separate invoice for different services.Do not trust this man to do any work on your home. I will update this if we receive money back. It might also help you to know that he did this to a widow. It's precisely these kinds of people that make dealing with contractors such a bad experience in El Paso.More pictures will be posted to this review as we document and repair the damage done by J & R roofing.Pictures below are after 'maitenance' & 'repair.'UPDATE: 1-25-23 we had to have a real roofer come out to fix the mess this guy made. Maldonado was able to find the hole but just slapped a little tar paper on top and made sure that it was still leaky so that he could continue to call back and ask if the roof was still leaking so he could fix it again and again and again in charge more money for it. In the attached picture of the hole in the roof you can actually see where he just tarred some paper onto the wood around a gaping hole.
