Reasonably varied selection of common hardware store items, plus a lumber yard with building materials across the street from the store. They have no list posted in the store of what they carry in the yard and what the prices are, and inconsistent answers on whether browsing through it is okay, depending on who you ask. I had to literally go through a list of items I was looking for ("do you have X? How about Y?) before landing on some lumber they happened to have. After I paid for it sight unseen, we went across and discovered it was all warped to hell. They don't seem to comprehend that this is a bad system that works poorly for their customers.

This hardware store is a jewel. Especially if you live around here. But if your visiting the area and camping and all of a sudden the item you have to have is missing, I would sure enough jump in the vehicle and go to Higginbotham Brothers!

Great home town hardware and lumber store. Clean, well laid out, friendly knowledgeable staff. It's just big enough to carry most of what you need without being so large you can't find anything.

Higginbotham Ft. Davis saved my bacon on our last trip to Davis Mt State Park. The 30 amp service on the pedestal was burned up and melted, so unusable. It was hot so we needed the a/c. Higginbotham had the 50 amp to 30 amp convertor in stock and at a decent price. Saved the camping trip!

BASIC hardware store and lumber yard. They can however order items in if u don't mind the wait. Staff is efficient and overall friendly.

The only place in Ft Davis with propane. Unfortunately, they only have one guy who fills propane tanks. Off for a week the first time, 2021 snowmageddon no power the second and the third, on a Saturday, the guy was off again. Suggestion to management: certify another employee or two.
