James Gonzales and the entire roofing crew were awesome. From the initial inspection to the final clean up and final inspection, they were professional and communicated with me every step of the process. The crew removed and reinstalled my solar panels with extreme care. They answered every question and were patient with me while I watched them work on the roof. Ryan Arif made a stop by my house about a year ago and although I knew it would be a long shot getting my bent up old roof replaced but I gave it a try and while the process took several months he kept constant contact with me and let me know what to expect. Finally august 2022 a new roof was approved by my insurance because Jduncanson stayed on top of them!!! I was jumping for joy! The material took a while to come in but they made sure to keep my house from any leaking by bringing tarp to cover the damaged parts of my roof.Several other companies gave up and just stopped contact with me over the years but Ryan Arif with Jduncanson was the one who was able to get it finally done and my house looks amazing now!!Services: Gutter repairs, Roof repair for storm & wind damage, Roof inspection, Roof repair, Roof installation

I think they are terrible. No follow up, no follow through, no calls, texts, emails, some guy randomly rings my doorbell at 0800 on a Saturday finally resting moment. No appointment, no notice, too tell me someone left the company and he is all of a sudden doing a warranty inspection. On roof long enough to wake up everyone in the house resting then speeds away. Stupid. Don't use them.

The consultant/ appraiser/ roof expert Peyton Claxton ( I think is his name) was out of this world. He was very knowledgeable about his service. They came out and inspected my roof and determined that I had a lot of hail damage and wind damage. Due to supply chain delays, it took a few months before our materials were delivered. Fortunately, we did not have a leak and were not in a rush. Our representative, Gavin, was very good about keeping us notified of how the process was going. They dealt with insurance and the process was pretty easy. When they came out for the replacement, their crew was very fast and did an excellent job. If I recall correctly, the whole process of tear down and replacement took about 3 days, and then another 2 days later on for replacement of the gutters and painting flashing. While I cannot speak for the quality of all the representatives at JDuncanson, I highly recommend Gavin if you are looking at repairing/replacing your roof. Hello,I had J Duncanson roofing replace the roof on my home, and they were fantastic! Someone was always available to answer my questions, and they walked me through the whole process step by step. They handled everything with the insurance company and someone was always checking up on the progress throughout the whole project. All in all, this was a very painless experience for what was a huge project to handle. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for any kind of roof work, hands down! John and his team served my grandparents and helped install a wonderful, durable, long lasting, energy efficient roof on their home. Since then John has now installed a roof on my home. His team was fantastic. They were well organized and were on time. John was very strait forward about what my home was needing unlike other roofers that came out and tried to quote me for work that was not necessary. John replaced my roof in three days. The team was very courteous and considerate of our family schedule as to not interrupt our comings and goings while they were at our home. The roof has a lifetime warranty on labor and material through the manufacturer. I would strongly refer you to John if you are in need of the last roof you ever want to buy. If you meet him, he is definitely the roofer that you will want to use.

I received this information about this company. I am horrified about the information, as Gerard, Metro, SteelRock and other steel roofing manufacturers DO NOT have roofing companies do warranty inspections requeseted through them. Also, the threat of not complying with their inspection!!! This is a scam and this business should be fined or put out of business for unethical business practices. I rarely answer the door when solicitors knock. Since I needed a new roof I decided to listen to what their representative, Michael, had to offer. After researching the company, I was comfortable getting the wheels rolling. They worked directly with the insurance company and made the financial transaction very easy. The roof looks excellent and was completed in one day. Michael was very attentive, professional and very helpful as a liason for the company. I am very satisfied with my experience with J duncanson roofing and would highly recommend them.

J Duncanson Roofing knocked on my door earlier today. The sales rep stated to me that my metal roof had a manufacturers defect. They wanted to climb on my roof and investigate my defective roof. I asked the sales rep to give me the name of the manufacture of my metal roof. The rep told me my roof was manufactured by Classic Metal Roof. I laughed because the sales rep made up a name. In fact the sales rep had know idea who manufactured my metal roof. I asked the sales rep multiple questions about my roof and he could not answer any of them correctly. Once I told him who manufactured my metal roof, btw which is Berridge Metal Manufacturing, he still proceeded to inform me I have a defective roof. Little beknow to J Duncanson you must be licensed to install Berridge Metal roof systems to achieve their warranties. I would never let anyone climb my roof unless they held a license from Berridge Metals. After I ran the sales rep off my property he proceeded to neighbors home. And once again told my neighbors they had a defective roof. My neighbors also ran J Duncanson off their property. I contacted Berridge about any defects with their products. They have none. My roof does not leak, looks great, and shed off water like it should. How does a company go around telling homeowners that their roof is defective when they have NO IDEA what they are looking at. This kind of marketing is a total scam. Do NOT fall for their scams. Plus look at their reviews here on google. J Duncanson reviews are terrible because they are scamers. People do your research and find a trust worthy roofing company. J Duncanson is not trust worthy.Service: Roof inspection

I do not know where all these negative reviews are coming from but I am totally happy with this company! It seems they may have had an unethical employee at one but are working hard to correct the situation. Everything was explained to me up front. I knew what I would pay before any work started. My sales rep, James Gonzales, is awesome! I feel privileged to have had him as my salesman. I am 70 years old and had many questions and concerns. He answered me right away and came over to talk to me if necessary. He did many little things for me that probably were not part of his job but made a lasting impression with me. If you decide to go with J Duncanson Roofing I would highly recommend asking for James Gonzales to be your representative. I have had several neighbors asking about my roof and telling me how stellar it looks. I will never have to buy another roof as it has a 50 year warranty. Well worth the money! Plus I got a lower rate on my homeowners insurance and my utility bill is going down.

Knocked on my door, uninvited, and said they were there to do an inspection required for the warranty on my roof. I asked whose warranty, manufacturer or installer, they said manufacturer. They took pictures and kept asking when the roof was installed. Kind of odd for a mandatory manufacturer warranty inspection? They then said my roof was more than 10 years old (it was installed in 2014) and that I needed to file a claim with my insurance company for installation problems. This is not how warranties work, and also not how manufacturers work. If you are a home owner, read up on insurance fraud by roofing contractors on the insurance commissioner’s website, also consider whether you should contact the Texas Attorney General’s consumer division.

I had a great time working with Aric, one of the reps at JDuncanson. I would have never known the condition my roof was in had he not stopped by and inspected it. He took care of everything for me from start to finish. Worked with my insurance and made sure they paid for everything they were suppose to. We all know the insurance companies are a pain in the you know what to deal with! He was very punctual and responsive, kept me informed about everything the whole time. He even upgraded me to their new product with the foam backer. I highly recommend this company and especially Aric. He is now a friend of mine and my family! They are the best metal roofing company that I’ve delt with in Texas, and I have had 4 metal roofs with 3 different companies.

I'm removing my chimney and needed the hole repaired. They came out and tried to get me to replace my whole roof that is only 5 years old. I told them no, I just need the hole repaired. They got back quickly with the quote. We then scheduled a date for them to come out for the repair. I checked with them the day before to make sure I was still on the schedule. They then let me know that their installer now doesn't feel comfortable doing patch work, and that they are more of a total replacement company. That is fine, but tell me that when I first call. Don't come out, give me a quote, and then schedule a repair date just to cancel. What a waste of time.

This a a great company! They came by after an ice storm and checked my roof. I have USAA and they worked seamlessly with JDuncanson Roofing. I can not say enough good things about Josh on site and Stacy in the office. The work crews that came to replace the roof were all respectful, cleaned up after work, and there was always someone who spoke excellent English if I had questions. They found an old shake roof under my present roof and they had a lot of extra cleanup because of that, but they kept right at it. A storm was coming and they stayed late to be sure I’d stay dry! I feel truly blessed that they found me!

I hired J Duncanson Roofing to repair a leak in my roof over the bedroom and repair the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom in March of 2016. They were paid $13,683.00 for this work by my insurance company. In 2018, I again had an issue with the same leak and damage inside my home. The company came out again “repaired” the roof and interior damage. In 2019, the same leak appeared again and damaged my home. Although I am retired and on a limited budget, I paid them $1,500 out of my pocket. Once again, in 2020, the leak is again leaking into my bedroom. The leak has obviously never been repaired properly. In March of 2020, Ron S., the foreman, promised to come to my home “in 2hours”. He did not arrive. After 6 hours, he promised in a text to send a different crew member that day. That crew member never arrived.I ended up having to go to the hardware store and purchase $300 in tarps and materials. The company had stopped returning my calls. After a week, a crew did arrive to tarp the roof, but I had already had to climb on the roof and do so myself. I am 84 and recovering from cancer and was not able to inspect the roof after the original repairs and should not have been on the roof placing myself in danger by tarping the leak.I feel that their work was shoddy and incomplete. I would not recommend this company for anyone’s home. I found them not to be reputable.

I’ve always rented and we finally bought a home. So after we had a bad hail storm I reached out to JDuncanson Roofing. They came out and inspected my roof. Turned out I needed a new one due to the hail was so bad. They did a great job and had it on within a week from doing the work order. We were cautious at first of the approach by JDUNCANSON ROOFING. All that was presented, appeared too good to be true. Well it wasn't. Upon meeting & having the inspections, everything went fantastically ! The reps & crew were very knowledgeable , thorough , efficient , and conscientious. We had no idea, the manufacture of the roof , did such follow-ups! Gerard gentleman even came out personally to check on the install in progress. He informed me that even though they dont "require" inspections for their warranty of course he was happy that my husband was smart enough to allow JDuncanson roofing to inspect it. He said JDuncanson Roofing is one of their biggest vendors and their installs are always top notch and up to spec therefore Gerard can always ensure the lifetime warranty. It really is a no brainer for me/everyone wins: We got a brand new, latest model Gerard roof, JDuncanson Roofing gets to install a new homeowners roof, and Gerard gets the sale of new roof materials. So I've read the other review stating bad practice or what have you but seriously? We had absolutely nothing to lose that's why we went ahead and gave JD Roofing permission to inspect our roof. We did have damage & they handled/repaired it expertly ! What a great experience w/something we had no idea was needed. Definitely would/will recommend this company. We sat back, watched their business go to work , & we are enjoying our new roof !!!! JOB WELL DONE !

Chase Ament was the Supervisor who helped manage the entire metal roof replacement process. He helped with the insurance claim, met the insurance adjuster for the inspection and went ovet the claim. The roof replacement took about 10 days, however, the gutter replacement was delayed due to the tremendous amount of rain we experienced this summer. my wife and I are extremely satisfied with JDuncanson Roofing's professionalism. Chase kept in touch with us throughout the entire process.
