Very happy with the services provided by Alamo City Handyman ( OMG). Chris helped us with our master bathroom remodel ( shower and bathroom floor) and invited to their showroom to look at tiles. When we wanted to explore other options, Chris offered to meet at our local Lowe’s and helped us pick the necessary materials. Have to admit it was his “above & beyond” customer obsession and his professionalism that we decided to hire Alamo City Handy. And we are so glad we hired them.Ran into a few issues with how the house/bathroom was originally built, but Chris always came with solutions. His teams ( demo, tiles, etc) always cleaned up each day. So they always kept our bathroom clean at the end of each day.Some pictures of beautiful work Alamo City Handyman did for us ( before the shower door& glass go in…scheduled for the end of this week). Also 2 pics showing the “before” when our shower was like 3ft x 3ft….the reason we wanted to remodel/modernize it.Super happy with the work that turned out. Thanks Chris and Alamo City Handyman!!!

Overall, we're very pleased with final product and the experience we had with Alamo City Handymen.We did feel like the estimate missed some expenses that should've been expected -- we ended about $5k over the estimate for our remodeling project. We also ended up more involved in the design process that we anticipated; we would've liked more ideas for what our project could've looked like, but we're happy with the design we ended up with!Our contractor, Chris communicated consistently and effectively and kept us in the loop throughout the job. The subcontractors, Jovani and Geraldo were excellent, respectful and professional. 99% of the project was finished on time, and the team was quick to fix aspects of the project we were not 100% satisfied with.We had one issue where we were not expecting the workers to have to unplug and move the fridge again, so we'd loaded it up with groceries. They ended up unplugging it for more than 48 hours, and we lost a full grocery run.Services: General construction, Tile work installation, Install flooring, Remodeling, Painting, Home maintenance & repairs, Remodeling, Interior painting

I worked with them prior and since and can vouch for their continued professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, and conduct. As far as I can tell, the quality of work meets/exceeds expectations, and other reviewers can in greater detail.

Hired Alamo City Handyman (ACH) to repair my metal garage roof before renovating the garage into a home office. Repair never worked and it leaked every time it rained. They came out 3 times to fix it. Wound up having to contract another roofer to get the job done right at the same cost I paid ACH, so roof has cost me 2 times. When I spoke with the owner ACH he blamed me for asking for a temporary repair and wouldn't take any responsibility for his company's poor work. There was nothing temporary about my repair request I hired them to fix the leaks so I could have an office underneath the roof. 2nd roofing contractor took pictures of the ACH repair and again after he repaired it. He also used a pressure pressure washer to check for leaks when he was done. He told me ACH basically put a coat of galvanizing paint on the roof and that would not have stopped leaks. Pictures don't lie, the gray roof is after the ACH repair, the black roof is the same roof after the 2nd contractor actually repaired. I was appalled at the ACH repair pictures, but I'm 68 and can't climb up to check the roof myself. I will be using small claims court to try to get restitution.I also notice the owner carefully manipulates his Google ratings by marking my neighbor, foster daughter, and one of my contractor's reviews as fraudulent and is asking Google to remove them. They have every right to share their opinion especially my contractor for my garage remodel whose work was interrupted. And I guess a couple of friends who shared their support of my issues are fraudulent too!

I had a wonderful experience with this company. I had started the process of taking the texture off on my walls in the main areas of my home but just didn’t have the time to finish it AND I don’t have the skills required to make it look seem less. I went online and was able to make an appointment for an estimate for later that week and they continued to be informative and responsive throughout the whole process. Juan and Luis, who were fantastic, worked on the walls primarily which turned out far better than I could have expected and I’m very pleased with the quality of the finish. I am so great full for this experience and am planning on hiring them to work on the master bathroom next.Service: Drywall repair

Alamo city handymen were hired to inspect and repair a corrugated metal roof over a garage and small casita.Alamo City Handymen recommended to coat the roof with a coating and that would be the solution to the numerous leaks.During the first rain since their repairs the roof leaks just as it did previously and after they had been paid approx $$$$.$$ to complete the work they recommended there were no indications of improvement and interrupted my work.When they finally returned the home owners calls the repairs were done properly by someone else who did the work ONCE and in a few hours then water tested it and inspected it for leaks.Home owner contacted Alamo City Handymen and waited a few weeks for the owner to say “everyone is trying to take advantage of him” and he offered a discount off the next time he was hired and none of the $$$$.$$ will be refundedVery poor business (photos available)

Alamo City Handymen replaced some severely rotted rafter tails on the roof of my house. Everyone I interacted with was very professional and prompt. We had a crack in the masonry on the 2nd story of our house between the stonework. This was not foundational but needed fixed for looks. I called and got a quote within 24 hours. They were able to come out and fix it within the week. The work was done professionally and follow up was excellent. We had our bathrooms remodeled with OMG Kitchen and Bath and Alamo City Handymen earlier this year. They provided great service, were always on time and friendly, and most importantly the quality of the work was exceptional! Several months later, we are still so in love with our new master bathroom and new shower in our guest bath. I would highly recommend their services for any small or large projects you have in your home.

Love working with these guys! I've used them twice for odd jobs, furniture assembly, etc and will continue. Dave is quick to get in touch with me to get the job scheduled. Richard has been out twice and is very polite and always asks if I have anything else I need done. Wonderful price for amazing work. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know that needs help with big or small jobs!

be aware! was hired to fix a roof for a disabled elderly friend of mine, they took his money without actually doing the work. he was forced to hire a completely new contractor and pay twice for the same job.

My foster father hired this company to help him fix his leaky roof and he was scammed out of thousands of dollars and left with a still leaking roof. The level of unprofessionalism this company has displayed towards people who don’t have knowledge in construction is a borderline con. DO NOT do business here unless you want to be given the run around by incompetent handymen. These people should be in jail!

Just had a 10x20 deck installed and it is amazing! Beautiful wood, square, level in-spite of an incline, the decking looks like a pine floor.....The guys were polite, timely and considerate of my family and business. A definite rehire anytime I need some work done. I highly recommend the company for quality craftsmanship, which is hard to find these days, integrity and great pricing. As a woman in business for 30 years I have hired numerous contractors, but this is the first time I have found a company that I would not only refer, but will definitely work with them again.

Andy came on time and blew us away with his great professional demeanor and talent! He got right to work on changing out a door for a doggie door, which we thought he would have to change the door swing. Not at all, he worked some magic on the hinges, so the swing matches the screen door, which we thought would have to come off. He also went to Lowe’s and picked up a security door for the front door. He also repaired the front door itself which would not close properly. A previous handyman worked on the same door, for over an hour, said he fixed it, yet the dogs got out the front door later because it was NOT fixed!!! Andy took care of that immediately again working his magic and know-how! NOW it locks properly because of his brilliance. Alamo City Handymen is the fifth handyman company we called. The first three were no-shows and the fourth was quite the bi-polar dud.So to get Andy was somewhat the miracle for us! To find some company to not only answer the phone and to return our calls, but to actually show up, on time AND get the jobs done in such a professional manner is such a relief, finally. Andy and this company, Alamo City Handymen, have my greatest appreciation and my highest recommendation.

Family hired these guys to fix a leaky roof after multiple attempts and several thousands of dollars they were forced to then go to another company pay more money to fix the issues that this business couldn’t . I do not recommend anyone use this company not only will you be disappointed with the work but you will also be out thousands of dollars , save your time and money and use any other business for this type of work
