With an unexpected water leak just as we were preparing for the arrival of our little one, we used Jenkins to clean up and move forward.As the insurance adjuster came out, the branch manager, Jacob, also came out and met with her. He was aware of our situation and explained the process of mitigation and restoration. I could tell the relationship with the insurance adjuster was a good one and was confident in moving forward and hopefully getting our affected master bedroom and bathroom back to its original condition (or better) before baby comes.We had every piece of equipment we would need for this leak. After the leak in our plumbing we were left with quite a bit of water damage along with mold. Preston was the lead through Jenkins Restorations and was professional, on time and very communicative during the whole process. Angel and Francisco played a big part in the remediation as well. All of them followed through with everything they said they were going to do, explained why and when they were showing up. In my experience, this is rare amongst most contractors I’ve worked with. I highly recommend Jenkins Restoration as a result of their efforts.

Jenkins did an excellent job of repair the water damage in my ceiling from my HVAC drain leak. The quick response to begin mitigation couldn't have been better. Special thanks to the PM Chris and his team. Andrew and Fransico came out almost everyday to ensure the area was completely dry. Awesome service all the way around. 1/2 bathroom had to be redone due to water damage loss. Workers were quick and diligent in getting the work done, and they cleaned the space thoroughly when they were done. We had a leak while on vacation- not horrible from the visible main parts of the house but inside the walls and under the floors was a different story. Jenkins was recommend by USAA as one of their trusted contractors. Keith from Jenkins called me within hours of the claim & was out early the next day which was a weekend. He immediately got the process going- in-fact I was pretty pleasantly surprised how quickly all steps so far have been with Jenkins. Keith handed the water mitigation for us from start to finish- he helped make sure we also got moved & checked on on me each day & made himself available at all times which was so helpful in a stressful situation. He went it of his way to answer all my questions & make sure we were taken care of.Just wanted to say thanks to Keith & his team, Chris & Andrew also came out to assist with demo & close out for the mitigation - & all were all really great. I understood what was happening at each step in the process & the work never lost momentum which was really important to me. They did a great job & kept the job site clean- I really haven’t had to lift a finger & that has allowed me to focus on the other parts of this situation like housing etc. generally I think this type of situation would have really been painful & awful but truly Jenkins - & Keith’s oversight has made a difference for me in making this as pain free as possible. Looking forward to working with themon the restoration in the coming weeks.I am going to add a couple more reviews to this as each part of the process is completed so this will be updated through restoration.Jenkins team that handled Contents: due to the extent of the leak we had to move out unfortunately. Hearing this was probably the worst news Keith had to tell me- I was really stressed but Xochitl & her team made all the difference. Xochitl & her team Elva & Jewlz packed my house pretty much top to bottom- & given the situation we weren’t exactly primed to move. My house & items were treated with respect & care. They did an AWESOME job - showed up early & worked hard each day even finished earlier than I expected & went out of their way to help me with my items I was worried about. I stayed at the house to take advantage of purging items if I was going to have to move out - but seeing how Xochi and her team work but I would have been comfortable with them handling the process without any oversight - she was through & so so kind. I'm not sure where to start. But I thought that I was in good hands after reading all of the reviews. My experience was far less than stellar. We had an entire crew that did not speak English. The language barrier presented some definite challenges. I communicated this issue more than once. The crew never came on time (well, once). I would ask them every evening what time they were coming the next day. They would tell me a time, and not even show up. No call. No text. No email. Nothing. Then, some nights they were at my home at 6 or 7 p.m. I was told in November 2022, the project would take 2 weeks at the most. We are now in March 2023, and still not done. The guy that started out on the project, couldn't finish for personal reasons (from what I was told). That's fine. Life happens. I get that. They should have someone to take over for him. No one ever came out to check the status of the work, at all. I was told a week ago by Jeanette that she would be taking over for Charles, and would translate for us. I was hopeful. She did come out a couple of times. It was definitely helpful. The one day they came on time, I was not home. I couldn't talk to the guy through my camera, because he didn't speak English. I was literally 5 minutes away. But, he showed up early. I had to call my husband, who called Jeannete, who called Felipe, who called the guy at the door. I was told that my shower glass had to be reused. We picked a tile for the shower, that we now know may have been too thick. Because I got a message saying we need to "discuss " it. Which sounds like insurance isn't going to cover it. The only thing Charles told us was to stay within a certain budget for the tiling, and we did that. We go from the glass may not fit, to we will try to make it fit, to it won't fit, to we have to discuss it, all within a week. So, if they knew we had to repurpose/reuse the existing shower glass, why not tell us prior that the tile we chose was too thick? I shared all of my grievances with the project manager Robert, as well as with Jeanette, Charles, and USAA. I am not an expert. I will do what I am told. Effective communication is essential in any business. Jenkins did not do that for me. I am disappointed. I am upset. There are other things that that went wrong. This is the main problem we had. I'm praying I do not have to pay for that shower replacement. If so, it is not my fault. They should have told me at the beginning that the tile was too thick, not at the end of the project. Oh, and when they had to patch up the garage where the leak was found, the workers forgot to put instillation back. They had to reopen a smaller entry point, and stuff the instillation in (so they say). I will post an update after I talk to Robert Hatfield this coming week.Update:March 14, 2023:Robert came out twice to look at the punch list. He took responsibility for things not going so well. He sent another guy out to complete the punch list. He did a fantastic job. On 03/13 Robert came out and cleaned the bathroom and hauled off the trash in the garage the workers left. I appreciate Robert taking responsibility and trying to correct what he could...Still have one part in order to complete the project.Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair

I am beyond thank for team that was sent to my house. Preston called the morning my pipe bursted and has been in constant connection since. He’s always making sure I’m comfortable with everything in the process and that I understand everything that going on. My last experience of completion of my home is when they were fixing my windows I told Troy it was moving n needed to be fixed my window was damaged do to a beakin along with other stuff n he said it was do to my window being old I never had this issue with my window n he refused to fix it just replaced the glass n then I told him the crew were smoking in my home while being repaired n then finding beer cans. The people he contracted was Rick n he was not very happy with the issues I was seening. N the. When Troy told me my home was ready when it wasn’t made me stay 1 night at home with the smell of a lot of dust n cigarette smell I stayed that night at my hm because I couldn’t afford to stay in a hotel but the next day I got him on the phone n made him pay for a night I was going to stay in my home when it was not ready.. My biggest complaint is my window not being fixed right n him telling me oh it’s an old window n only replace the glass still he should of fixed it n he didn’t.. I would not let Troy who works for this company nor Rick he hired for the work be used again. Very happy Customer knowing what I went through during this situation where my home was Burglarized n was damaged all the way around.. this is the reason for score it would be a Zero rating..

I am a Graduate Realtor here in San Antonio, Texas having worked in the Alamo City area for over 30 years with Prudential Real Estate Services and now currently with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services since their purchase of Prudential Real Estate. During my 30-yr career here in San Antonio, I have worked with numerous restoration companies throughout South Texas, but never had the pleasure of working with Jenkins Restorations, since they were new to the San Antonio area at the time, until recently when I experienced a flood in my personal residence, and the plumber involved in that incident dispatched Jenkins to my home to clean up the water damage, and pack out and move my personal belongings and furniture while repairs were to be conducted. Immediately, Jenkins responded with a group of professional and caring individuals, concerned not only about my home and personal belongings, but most importantly about me personally, and the experience I was going through at the time with the devastation throughout my home! Jenkins worked to insure that the negative impact, to me personally, was minimized through their efficient work scheduling, and cleanup process of my entire home. Additionally, the care Jenkins exercised while handling my furniture and personal belongings was exemplary! Especially impressive was the care that "each" of their crew members took handing, packing, and processing expensive family heirlooms to insure that no damage was done to any of those precious items! One other thing that stood out, during their move, was the cataloging of the items boxed, wrapped, packed, and moved around and out of my home. They often took pictures of the contents of boxes before they were sealed and labeled to insure proper accountability, but most of all to ease the move back into a home so that one could easily direct labeled boxes to the right area of their home.Without a doubt, I would recommend Jenkins Restoration to any of my Real Estate Clients, friends, neighbors, and family because of their professionalism but most importantly because of the individual personal care they showed during the entire process.
