Glad we stopped here while bringing my son back to College Station from Arizona. Excellent friendly service. Inside is authentic rustic. Food is great and they even have Gluten free options for those that like that. They serve their own beer as well as local wines and good selection of bottled domestic and Mexican. Will definitely stop here again on our next trip

Do NOT order "Larry's" beer. We tried all styles and all smack of poorly made homebrew with cidery, vinegar flavors. I used to brew my own and this is what happens when wild yeast gets in the batch, six of us all deemed it undrinkable. Staff was pleasant but food and drink were just not good.

Tried the beer sampler and 4 of the 8 were undrinkable. Tasted like they had gone sour or expired. I'm from Wisconsin and never met a beer I couldn't finish 😂 very disappointing! Fried okra was pretty good and fried pickles were decent, fried mushrooms I would not recommend. Restaurant area was not clean, sticky table and floor, trash left out on other tables.

Great place! Don't let the outside not stop. This place has incredible menu with beer and wine and homemade root beer. We came on 5 tacos for $5 and they were great. Great family place.

Kevin and the crew are always top notch. Food is on point....and try one of his micro brewed beers....or homemade root beer! My favorite go to is The "Horeshoe" and Blonde Armadillo!

This was the worse experience. Took a long time for food. The girl behind the bar had no idea what was going on seemed like. They weren’t even that busy. Maybe 3 tables. I called my order in to take out and still waited for another 15-20min. $20 later for a cheap ingredient sandwich that my kid could have made better, and stale chips w/ drink was what I waited for! How are they even able to charge so much for such horrible product??!! No way! Will not be going back or ordering from them. Not to mention how hot it was in there and dirty! Just dirty. Everything you looked at, looked like it had a pile of dust on it. Don’t matter which direction you looked. Even the kitchen door and from what you could see was just dirty. Didn’t even try! Paid my money, left, threw food in the trash. Don’t look in that kitchen window if you want to eat your overpriced meal. You won’t do it! I guess you can get away with anything in small towns like this.. not recommended..

Some of the BEST food I’ve had but even better service! Steak cooked to perfection, amazing drinks and such a variety of options for the family. We really enjoyed our meal here and will be back more often. The waitress really stepped it up and gave us some of the best customer service we’ve had in a while! Thank you so much!

We loved Bar D Brewhouse & Restaurant. The food came out fast, hot, fresh, and tasted like it was made from scratch. There is a wide variety of craft beer on tap, I believe there is a flavor for everyone.Customer service was excellent, you can tell these employees are like a family, and they’ll treat you like family too. Get the beer sampler, if you’re feeling adventurous.Highly recommend this under recognized place of drink & eat!

We were coming in town and we’re looking for Gage BBQ. Their sign was not very noticeable and we thought this brew house was what we were looking for. The staff were all very nice but the food was horrible. The burger our daughter got was hard as a rock. The catfish was dried out. The onion rings tasted like the catfish and was all batter. My husband got the beef and cheese nachos and we were all sick for days after our visit here. Like I said, the people who work there were nice and the mounts on the wall were neat to look at but the food was horrible and left us sick for days. We found exactly where the BBQ place was and when we return, we will not be mistaken again!

Great food in a fun very informal, Texas countryside environment. I had the Bar D dip— with excellent flavor and meat — and my wife had the Fritos Pie — also great.Good COVID 19 protocols in place as well.4 stars just because it’s not a fancy place with great parking, etc.

Surprisingly great place! Go on Fridays for the all you can eat catfish! Delicious and reasonably priced. We started with chips and salsa which is fantastic, then tried the queso, WOW! Handcrafted beers are worth the drive (We came from Wimberley). Get there early to guarantee a seat, because fills up quick with locals and tourists alike. We're planning our next road trip to San Saba around the Bar D!

Horrible place! The roof leaks, the chicken fried steak tastes freezer burned, and the Ranch King Chicken Special... it's NO special, they ran out so only one tiny sliver of chicken and the rest they used tortilla cut up. If you run out of something, have the waitress let the customer KNOW, not have to over hear it from another table. Please instead of stretching something, offer something else. It was unpleasant for us and we live here and talk to people constantly. That's NOT how you run a restaurant. We obviously don't plan on coming back. Disgusting guys, you can do better than that.

The food was great, the Root Beer was out of this world, but the chicken tenders.... Oh, my goodness! I'll either have to make a trip back there just for a bucket of their chicken tenders or try to talk them into airmailing them to Round Rock. Wow!

Great food. All you can eat but you have to wait a long time before the even notice your ready for more. Drinks now thats the same way. You'd choke to death before they come back and refill your tea
