Prices are not as competitive as they should be and check out sometimes it is hard to find a partner who works at this store. Cell phone use here hinders checking or self checkout is offered for any customer. Pastry is the first item you see when entering the store. Produce is always stocked and many of the items offered have many facets to them as well as the meat department.

Really surprised at the store has name brand tools like DeWalt Milwaukee, Craftsman and also sell produce and groceries under the same roof. Crossed paths with about 6 employees and no one acknowledged us. Other than that the store was impressively clean and organized.

This is a solid small town grocery store. You have more than one option on just about anything. We were visiting from Fort Worth and are used to the "city slicker" grocery stores that really have a ridiculous amount of options. This store has what you need. BUT....I'm a little perplexed at the pricing. Most of the prices were very good, and really 5% more than you'd pay at a big town grocery store (I mean, c'mon, they have to haul it to San Saba TX), but some things were 20% higher or more (ground coffee for instance). This is the first time we visited San Saba that this place was active (it had burned down the last time we visited and the "temporary" store was near the courthouse). Produce was very decent. They even have gas pumps outside, farm equipment, and an ACE Hardware that is inside the store on the west side of the store. Four stars really has to do with the significant price issues on some items. If you go, please watch the sticker prices.

Convenient shopping, nice produce, good variety of groceries and canned goods. Great hardware store. Gas station out front to the side. Nice plants for sale out front in season. Plenty of parking. Excellent bathroom facilities.

First visit. New to town. Stocked everything we need. Conjoined hardware store is great. Didn't need anything from there yet, but seemed like it had most anything I would go to an Ace Hardware for.

Prices are alright for the area, though I've personally seen some low quality or old produce occasionally mixed in with fresh. I did once end up buying bad meat, pork chops I believe, however I was quickly refunded. All in all, not a terrible option, but also not the best.
