I wanted to buy a new Maverick. They had one in transit. I talked to the sales manager and told him I wanted to buy it as soon as it came in. He promised me he'd call. He didn't they sold to someone else. I was going to finance with them. I was going to put 15k down and with an 815 credit score I feel it would have been a easy sale. So if Doug the sales manager tells you he will call don't believe him. For years Sour Lake Ford and Sour Lake Motors were probably the best dealership in the area to buy from. I don't know what happened to them.

We just stopped by to look and left with exactly what we were looking for. John Ross was very helpful and friendly. He got us the deal we wanted and when we went back the next morning to drop off extra keys and title he had coffee and donuts for us. I never leave reviews but THIS Ford service department deserves it. I have now used them a couple times for service and for repair so this isn't based on a one time experience. They give FRIENDLY service with EXCELLENT communication. They even went above and beyond in one situation to help me after another dealer put me back on the road to break down. I'm so glad I was told to try them after a friend also had great service. I will drive out of my way for the service we receive. 15 yrs driving Ford and a couple of them sitting in our driveway... They have all our business from here on out.

My husband and I were hoping for a better car buying experience after loosing both our vehicles and house in Hurricane Harvey! We went here looking for a certain truck and color that we knew they didn't have but was hoping they could help us get. We went to speak with Mrs. Rockier but she was busy at the time and another older gentleman offered to help us so we let him. We told him exactly what we wanted truck and color wise and he was kinda rude telling us it was a bad time (after the hurricane) to be picky on a certain color of a truck. But we already decided we were not going to pay that much money for something that we didn't love (we were looking for a F-250). So he agreed to try to help us find what we wanted we sat at his desk for a long time while he gathered all of our personal info and found out everything we wanted in this particular truck. He even said he found some available but he would have to ask to do a dealership trade and would let us know what they said in about 24 hours. We left confident that he would find us the truck we wanted. We never heard back from him again! Luckily we found the truck on our own in humble. Just sad because our family loves sour lake ford and we had a great experience before at sour lake Chevy. Sorry it couldn't have ended that way again!

Bought a mustang and an F-150 this past year. Both great vehicles. My salesperson, Rockie was great to deal with. Basically had the deals done over phone so there was no time wasted when I got to the dealership. Sign and drive. Their service department just did a full service of my car this week with new tires- got my car in the same day I called and it was ready to roll a day later. They really made me feel important. Good place.

I have bought MANY trucks at Sour Lake Ford the last few years. Rockie has always been my go-to sales rep! She has always been hospitable and makes you feels at ease and at home. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Service is great, coffee isn't too bad either. :) I tell EVERYBODY where I got my truck!!!

I've bought 2 vehicles from Sour Lake Ford within the past 2 years and have absolutely not one complaint.. The service is always friendly and quick. Ive sent several friends there who have also purchased vehicles. I highly recommend Sour Lake Ford to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. My sales lady is Rockie Templeton, She is honest and fair and professional and will get you the best deal possible to fit your needs. I rate Sour Lake Ford 5 stars but its due to Rockie Templeton. The rest of the staff I met were awesome too but Rockie got me in both vehicles without any problems and at the right price. If your looking for a vehicle I suggest go see Rockie, you wont be disappointed. Shes an awesome lady !

I have enjoyed my experience each time I have visited Sour Lake Ford. My family and friends have bought from there and told me that was the place I needed to go. Rockie Templeton was the Lady I needed to see. Since then I am bought from Rockie. Even though she is at the Ford Dealership she can make your car/truck buying experience a great one, and help you with anything vehicle on the lot. I had an agreed upon deal arranged via email with Nicole. I drove over an hour to the dealer only to find them with a significantly higher price on the purchase order. They refused to honor the emailed agreement, saying that the sales rep never got that price validated with management.Either very shady operation or incompetent personnel. Buyer beware.

EDIT:I decided to give these guys another shot because they’ve traditionally been great. Without even asking for it, they gave me a free oil change and tire rotation. If a business makes an honest effort to right a wrong, they’ll always have my support.Next time ya’ll turn someone’s headlights from automatic (where they are kept) to ON during the middle of the day, you may want to actually INFORM the customer you’ve done so. Now I’m stuck in a parking lot looking for a jump because my battery is dead after bringing it in there today.

Sour Lake Ford is the worst dealership I have ever done business with. Leeland with Mr Transmission(who is amazing and i would recommend everyone go to him)originally looked at my car and it showed the tcm module needed to be replaced. It was throwing codes U0100 and U0101.He did some research and found that specific item is covered under the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M02. He called sour lake ford to confirm this and told me to take it to them. I took the paperwork with me stating that information. The tech that worked on my car did not replace the tcm module. The code he received was P0902 which still means the TCM should be replaced. He did replace a clutch actuator that was bad but i was charged over 500 dollars.When i got into the car, it was clear the guy that worked on my car did not even bother to put a piece of paper down so my floorboard was a mess. It has only been a month since I got my car back from them and it is not starting. It is reading codes U0I00 and U0101 at Mr Transmission. I kept leaving messages with Sour Lake to try and get some answers. My messages were ignored.i called back again and got through to James. He was very kind. That being said, I still do not have the answers I was looking for. Even though the clutch actuator was bad, I'm curious if It was really necessary to replace when the tcm module is the main problem. If the tech would have just replaced the tcm module instead, my car might be working right now and I would not have had to fork out over 500.00
