If I could rate 10 stars, I would.I've been putting off replacing my 27 year-old roof for the longest time. Hurricane Harvey caused my roof to leak, with the 2 weeks of continuous rain, and it has gotten worse ever since. Insurance company was useless, as they always are, and didn't pay enough to cover anything roof-related due to age and depreciation. I knew I would have to go out of pocket. Eventually, with the worsening weather in Texas, my wife and I decided it was time. I called 3 contractors, including Shamrock, and they all gave me quotes. One was substantially lower than the other two, and one was substantially higher than the rest. Shamrock came in the mid-range as far as pricing was concerned. Additionally, I had seen Paul and his crew replace most of the surrounding house roofs in my neighborhood, and knew that the owner lived in my subdivision. Paul came out to conduct an assessment, and noticed some of my shingles on the ridge were missing. He asked me that regardless of whom I chose, could he effect a quick repair free of charge so that water wouldn't make its way in any more. He made the interim repair, and while I waited for the insurance company to send an adjuster for the drywall damage inside, we had other storms come through. The interim repair must have helped quite a bit, because I didn't hear the usual water drip in the attic. Long story short, I chose Shamrock, because I've seen the quality of work around the neigborhood. Paul even knocked off 1K from the final price, since the insurance was not going to pay. Within 3 days of giving the go-ahead, the Shamrock crew were busy stripping the old roof and replacing with the new one.I chose GAF HDX in Grey/silver, and Paul made everything peachy with the HOA and arranged for approval.The morning of the install, the crew foreman prepped the attic space to make sure nothing would be damaged, and tarped the access so the debris could be contained. This was before 7 am as I was ready to go to work. By the time I was done at work, the roof was almost done. In the meantime, the crew had an issue with a couple of the rafters, as one was split and needed to be replaced. The back span of my roof was a concern of mine, since it looked like it was bowed-in somewhat and I thought it might pose a problem. Turns out the crew spotted the issue and replaced the rafter after going all over town looking for a 20 foot beam. The roof was finished that evening and it looked amazing.The crew made sure to magnetically sweep every inch of the perimeter for any nails, and cleaned all the debris. The place was spotless. It is apparent that the Shamrock crew work really good together as a team, as I could see every member working like a well-oiled machine. Replacing roofs is hard work, and not a single person on that crew was idle the entire 12 hours. It is remarkable to see such synergy in a crew. I believe from observation that Paul treats his employees well, and it shows. They all looked like they enjoyed the work they were doing, and it showed in the results. The crew were extremely careful to ensure all the little details were taken care of, such as replacing old rotted trim, some facia boards, new flashing around the roof/brick transition, and even went and got color-matched paint for the new facias. Those were all things I did not expect to be taken care of, but the crew did. Not sure if this is normal in the roofing industry, but it was a pleasant surprise to have some of these details taken care of.I am extremely pleased with the work that Shamrock roofing did on my new roof. I would recommend them heartily to anyone that asks.Now I need to replace my gutters, and Shamrock happens to work with a contractor who does those as well, so I'll be giving Paul a call as soon as I have the money for it.Services: Roof repair for storm & wind damage, Roof installation

I used this company for full roof replacement after hurricane Ida. Not only did they try to cut materials like valley quards in half, but also we’re not even ever on site to over see the job, there workers tore up our lawn and gutters. But the best part is when we are almost 2 years after the storm and the roof leaks, and I reach out to them about it, and the owner Paul , personally returns my call and tells its my problem, you get what you get. Because my husband choose to tell him they tore up our lawn and our gutters that we deserve a leaking roof. How unprofessional, never used this company, they hire the work out to other contractors who are not insured and they don’t follow up the warranty they offer.Service: Roof installation

The entire process went extremely well from the initial phone call all the way through to the completion of the roof and final payment. I was very impressed with the roofers and how they placed tarps all around the house to catch the debris. They also cleaned up thoroughly after the work was completed.

Wanted to wait a few months to write my review to see if there were any other customers who had the same issue I did, I have been seeing similar reviews so I know it’s not just me. Beware of paul…he will speak fast and use jargon to get you to sign a contract without giving full details of the total cost. When someone tells you, “your out of pocket cost will be no more than $14,000 plus deductible” you take them for that. Once job was almost complete, he said the $14,000 was just the down payment and I owed an additional $10,000??? This job could have been easily done through another company for half. ***BEWARE*** also, he mistreats his contractors/workers and treats them with complete disrespect.

Very, very pleased with my Shamrock Roofing roof replacement due to hail damage. Paul Martin, owner, and Alison Martin, co-owner, are very easy to work with and pro-actively handle insurance paperwork matters. I was impressed the with install crew leader inspections of my attic (to make sure no pipes would get hit by a nail) and house ceilings (house ceilings after install too) before they began their work. You can tell when a crew works well together, work hard and are efficient. They did a great job on clean-up too. We will definitely use Shamrock again for any future roofing needs.

The Shamrock folks roofed and painted my last home a few years ago. Thankfully, the painters talked me out of several bad color schemes ideas I had by indulging me and painting samples. The roof turned out better than I had expected, it looked really sharp from the street and still does. They have a good follow-up process. A quality assurance person shows up when the work is done and asks you if they've fulfilled the job. I had three things I wanted more attention put towards and they put in an extra 2-3 days to address them. Everyone I spoke with was professional and courteous. Very good natured people. I don't know how they do it but the pricing was very competitive. I recently called them back over to look at my new homes roof after some storm damage. They showed up quickly and have been easy and responsive to work with. I wish all the Shamrock team all the best and many thanks.

Paul and his crew came by and handled the replacement of my roof and adding some gutters with care and professionalism. And considering all of the nails that must’ve been put to use and all of the work it takes to redo a roof, things were left in amazingly clean order once everything was done. We are SO delighted with our experience with Shamrock... in the last storms, massive trees fell on our roof. The owner of this company was door knocking in my subdivision after a severe hail storm. The Owner! I asked when he can give us an inspection, and he went and grabbed a ladder. He climbed on our roof, took pictures, was extremely professional, busted out a sales presentation upon my request, gave a fair quote and a great schedule, and left with a down payment check to start our roof. Shamrock roofing fixed a minor leak in my roof after Harvey paid a visit. Paul, the owner, came out and explained the process and how it would work for us. The crew was very professional, taking care to protect the trees and plants in the yard, as well as the grass. When they finished, they used magnetic brooms to be sure no stray nails were in the yard or walks. Shamrock replaced my roof after a severe hailstorm several years ago. It was effortless on my part. They worked closely with my insurance company and with the HOA to get approval from them. Paul and Allison were great to work with! Just when we thought having a new roof was out of reach and we were going to have to wait years before replacing it. Paul was able to talk to the insurance and get the roof approved. What we paid out of pocket was significantly less than what we would of had to pay if we paid for the roof ourselves. The project manager Bill, called us throughout the day to give us an update as the project was going on, which I really appreciated. Jose, the lead guy, was in charge of his group and I cannot say enough good things about them. His whole group was very respectful and extremely clean. We had Shamrock Roofing replace the roof on our weekend home. They were there to meet us early so they could give us a quote on the replacement. We got our quote very quickly and scheduled for a few days after accepting the quote. They had a great crew doing the work. They replaced a board that was rotten and they even had one of the crew go and color match our paint and painted the board they replaced and left the paint for us!
