Fantastic experience from start to finish. We requested service for three units, two HVAC units in the house and a split in the garage. Scheduling was easy and the person on the phone was very friendly. I got regular text messages reminding me the day before the appointment and another when the technician was on his way. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He spent extra time on the spilt and explained how I could keep it clean myself. Review for ThorntonThornton did an excellent job installing our new heating and cooling system. We have an old house with a very old and inefficient boiler for the room radiators and no built in air conditioning. I called a few HVAC services for quotes to install heat pumps. Thornton provided the best service by far, from the very beginning. Plus, I appreciate the reassurance of working with an established company who I am confident will be in business and able to provide service for years to come.Aaron came to the house and created a schema of the best layout for the different rooms. We walked around each room and discussed various options to get heating and cooling to the different floors. The best option for us ended up being two different zones with separate heat pumps for both - duct work and an air handler for the first floor (running new flexible ducts along the basement ceiling), and wall mounted inverter units for the bedrooms on the second floor. Aaron also helped me choose the heat pumps which would be eligible for the tax credits.The first morning of installation was dedicated to choosing the locations for the floor vents in the first floor. They had an initial drawing layout of the proposed layout. I was able to walk around w them and make sure I was happy w each location. One vent had to be moved a slight bit because of a beam in the basement which blocked the original spot.Installation was relatively easy. The guys were great. They were able to adjust the white pipes running down outside the house from the 2nd floor inverters. I wanted them placed close to the white downspouts from the gutters, to keep the outside of the house as streamlined as possible.After a couple months of using the AC during the first summer, we noticed the main floor heat pump kicking on and off repeatedly, Thornton sent a technician who was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem.The easy heat and air conditioning in the house has been INCREDIBLE. It’s so much more comfortable inside, and the heating bill is now so much lower than the oil boiler.Thornton should be your top choice for heating and cooling on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. They provide great service and a great product.
