I have used RMC for over ten years and can share that they have always been responsible, personable and professional. From the front desk being extremely helpful, to the techs that accomplished the work all the way up to the owner, I have always received the customer service that I thought no longer existed in the service businesses. I highly recommend RMC.

We bought a home in the area severalYears ago. Several issues came up and we were in a pinch several times. While RMC may not always be the first to be available, you’ll quickly realize it’s because they are great at their job. We have had a great experience with them servicing our A/C and even our oil burner.

Robert was FANTASTIC! He came on the same day I called, was there right in the window he promised and better than all of that he fixed my 40 year old AC system with one part and in a short 30 minutes our house was cooling down again on one of the hottest days of the year! I would recommend them to anyone! Robert didn't try to upsell us on a new unit, knowing we weren't trying to spend that kind of money right now. He was clean, professional and took great care of us!If you ever need someone to repair or replace your HVAC he's the one to use!Service: HVAC system repair

Poor service and charges were over the top! Will not be using RMC Mechanical Contractors Inc. services in the future. Had to have their service people to return multiple times and it is STILL unclear whether the problem has been repaired. Moreover, the expensive "Rudd" outdoor unit is only four years old. And, the system was purchased from RMC Mechanical. That being the case. I thought I would call their company for servicing the unit. Certainly, a misstep on my part...sad to say!Service: Heating system repair

Encourage had to come back multiple times because the original technicians could not properly fix the problem. As a result I was charged excessively for parts and labor. I.have sent them payments as I am able, however funds are limited due to disability. I’ve tried to get them to work with me and got nowhere. I have now received a court summons. If they would not have gouged the bill in the beginning and worked with my, it would have not escalated to this point. Customer service has been not friendly to work with. I’ve asked to speak to the owner and never received a call. If they had fixed it correctly the first time it would not have escalated to this. Apparently not all of the technicians are as skilled as others.

Scheduled service to have second stage propane regulator tested. Technician showed up without proper equipment to test it but said he wouldn’t charge and scheduled another appointment. Received call on day of second appointment saying they wouldn’t be sending a technician because if the regulator needs to be fixed they don’t do that work but that I would be charged a $150 service fee for the diagnostics that was never performed. Office staff didn’t believe me and was very rude. Two days off from work, $150 bill, trip to small claims court in my future, and nothing to show for it!Service: Heating system maintenance

I installed a mini split myself, had them "fire it up". They were very professional, seemed to really want to do a good job and did. I even left a message for the owner as to how pleased I was with the install. Gave their name to my two best friends, they were also happy with the work.

I called RMC to look at my generator, I supplied the tech manual, wiring diagram and schematics for them to use. The generator isn't running properly and shuts off after a few seconds, this happens consistently. The technician came out and look at it and then left. I had to call the office to find out what the technician found out on the generator. Well, after about $125 I was told by the office staff the technician said I should call Caterpillar near Mechanicsville as they work on Olympian Generators. Unbelievable, I asked when I made the appointment if they worked on Olympian and I was told yes. So, not only is the generator not fixed but now i have to call another company, make an appointment, and then pay for another technician to come out again. Stick to HVAC RMC because generators don't seem to be your thing.

I found RMC to be professional, responsive, punctual, polite, and keep a clean work site, every day. Horrible company! Quote done by the owner, installation done by people that couldn't speak a lick of English. Ran my AC lines, OUTSIDE of my ceiling, so now I have to have a competent company fix that. Installed a faulty thermostat, and charged $112 to replace it. Had them do my whole system, and refused a credit card. Almost $6000. Then proceeded to be as unprofessional as possible, when I couldn't pay in CASH. Who does that??? Had to go to COURT, and even that, didn't stop the harassment. A Nightmare from beginning to end.

My A/C went on the fritz the night of July 3rd. The hottest day of the year and the day before the July 4 holiday. We live in a rural area. I have a 1 year old. I figured that I would have to get a hotel for the 4th and hope to get a technician out on the 5th but lo and behold the RMC Mechanical technician (all apologies for not recalling his name but I am pretty sure it was James) was at our door by 9 AM July 4th and had it fixed and running before you could say "Good Morning" It was an excellent surprise and the technician was polite, courteous and professional as well as being an obvious HVAC expert. Our hats off and a heartfelt thank you to RMC Mechanical for the excellent service.
