Milcon replaced the entire roof and gutter system on my 1940s duplex in Arlington VA. Let me just say, the pictures don’t do it justice. The workmanship is outstanding the experience with Matt’s attention to detail was extremely refreshing and helpful. And the price came in cheaper than a competing quote that didn’t include new Skylights and gutter covers. Matt was a pleasure to work with and I look forward to the additional projects we have planned.

I contracted with Milcon Design & Build to replace 29 VERY DRAFTY windows in my house 11 of which are double hung with transoms. Matt Kavanah, the owner, came to my house and explained the process, provided product examples and a really great overview of window manufacturing and installation. Matt also provided very reasonable pricing and project financing options. He even coordinated with another contractor to remove and rehang my plantation shutters. The window removal and install was completed in one day and the entire team was very skilled at their craft, professional, clean and very nice. The windows are energy efficient, easy to operate and clean, self locking, include additional insulation around the casings, and look amazing inside and outside. I could not be happier with the products (no more loss of heat/AC), service and price. I highly recommend Matt and his team!!

My journey with Milcon Design & Build began in March 2023, when I was looking for estimates to replace my patio door. I selected Milcon Design & Build after receiving two other estimates, because I was impressed with Matt's professionalism, his ability to answer my (many :) ) questions in detail, and his prompt response. In our initial meeting, he was able to provide suggestions based on my requirements and his previous installation experiences. He then promptly followed up with the promised estimate.The next meeting was with his technician to verify that they were going to be able to provide the larger size door I requested without causing any structural damage.Once the door arrived, we scheduled an installation date and time (June 2023). The crew arrived on time, was very professional, and did an excellent job! Once they were done, the technician walked me through the features of the door: the active vs passive side, how to verify that it was closed and looked, etc.Needless to say, I am more than pleased, the door looks great! Matt and his team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. He provided a cost-effective, detailed estimate for my roof and even added in an active duty military discount! On the day of the job, he provided updates continuously and photo proof. Unfortunately some of the plywood underneath my roof was rotted and I had a small over-hang that needed to be completely reframed due to the rot. He was able to provide me with estimates for different avenues of approach to repair these. We ended up doing a demo to the overhang at no additional cost. This was one of the most pleasant and professional experiences that I’ve ever experienced. I would 100% recommend Matt and his team to anybody in the area

I would honestly give him a 100% RATING for the following reasons:Matt is a very business-like, cares about my home as if it were his own, gave me expert advise on color of the shingles that would compliment the brick and shudders of my home. My neighbors are remarking and complimenting his work saying "It gave your home a whole 'FACE LIFT' !!!"He took ample, unhurried time to explain exactly what his crew would be doing. He sat down with me and told me every detail. He had pictures to show me his past work and what my home could look like if I used these certain color of shingles. He was right and did a much better selection of color than I did. He is an expert!The Crew found lots of water damage which was shown to me in pictures. They would have to replace a lot of rotten plywood. They ran to the store and replaced it all and still completed the job in one day - extremely efficient. The Crew covered all my outdoor plants and fixtures. They are neat and clean. Everything was thoroughly cleaned up in my yard after they were done.Both Matt and Crew were courteous, respectful of me and property.I would recommend Matt & Crew to my neighbors, family, and friends. In June, we had all the windows in our house installed. Our previous windows were at least 30 years old and were in poor shape. Out of the three quotes we received, Milcon Design & Build were the most straight forward and to the point, best value, and had the earliest install date.On the date of install, everyone was fast, efficient and very friendly. The windows were installed without a hitch and my husband and I were amazed at the difference—the decrease in sound, the quality of the windows—we actually had to turn up the air because the house got so cold because the cold air was actually staying in the house!After the install, Matt came and inspected the windows and ended up replacing two that didn’t pas his expectations.We couldn’t be happier. We had them do flat roof replacement for two mini roofs and a portico after a storm damaged one.They were very professional. Their costs were better than the competition, and we had several quotes for the work.They were very responsive as we worked through the details of the job, compared details across the quotes, and wrote up the contract.
