A little insight for all you beautiful people. I was a project manager at this company for 10 months. My job was to meet the customer, get contract and company disclosure signed, and schedule all sub contractors for the repairs. My 2nd cousin (owner of the company), Jody Lankford, is the one that trained me. He trained me to scan through both documents real fast and let customers know the at it’s just normal contract info and for them to sign right here. What they DON’T know that in that paperwork was stated that Protek is legally ok to sign any documents on their behalf (including checks for payment). We did all insurance work and in order to have check released to Protek, we had to have a COS (certificate of satisfaction) but what the customers of USAA, Aflac, etc. don’t know is that the disclosure they were swayed to sign, gives Protek permission to sign on their behalf. I WAS TRAINED TO PERSUADE THEM TO SIGN WITHOUT READING. Insurance companies will NOT release a check without a COS and it’s all in their scandalous paperwork that innocent people are getting persuaded to sign. So many customers were done wrong while I was employed there (I take partial blame, I should have not listened to the training and left then). I asked Jody if the customer didn’t like the work performed, what do I do and he said “They signed the disclosure, it doesn’t matter.” I’m just trying to make the public aware that if you have fire, water, mold remediation, DO NOT USE PROTEK. I have plenty of references (unfortunately) that can vouch for that. Just because your house has issues and you need this kind of company, it’s up to you as to who you use, TRUST ME. I WAS A PROJECT MANAGER and you will lose! Use Servpro or any other company that offers these services. If you want to lose after you’ve already lost, choose Protek.PLEASE SHARE AND YOURE MORE THAN WELCOME TO CROSS REFERENCE MY ALLIGATIONS.

Allow this company to work in your home, they need it just as bad as you need the work done. Your patience is also needed as it will take some time for things to process because working with insurances is not an easy task no matter the agency. Terrible quality, smoking inside house, breaking items in house and in storage, blamed everything on subcontractors (they weren't great but also refused to work because they weren't being paid at times), redid multiple things twice.My house is worse quality after using them. Stay away, cannont stress this enough. This company is amazing, from the supervisors who checked in, to the office worker, and the field workers. They are courteous and kind. Were super sweet to my family and pets. Did an outstanding job, and were always on time. Their communication is outstanding. I called to ask questions about the services provided and Kayla was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was tough but she answered every question clearly and with ease. I am currently looking for a service to fix the side of the house and porch (where a car tried to drive through). I may have found my contractors! Not sure about the work yet but if they are half as knowledgeable and helpful then it seems they will be great! I will try to update later.UPDATE: they lied, made promises they didn't care to keep, contradicted, appeared to gouge us/the insurance company and then just tried to cover up the damage not fix it. When we asked for one thing they said "sure thing", promised a supplement and then just didn't do it and just ignored us. Anthony CONTRADICTED his own contract several times... OH and speaking of Contract we never even saw a contract before we signed!!! He had me sign that i agreed to the work(with the promised supplements) in a discussion and just had me sign the document on his tablet never actually saw any kind of contract until i begged him for it AFTER he started work. MAKE THEM GIVE YOU A PAPERCOPY BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING!!!!!!!If you just care that your broken property "looks nice" and isn't actually fixed then this is the place for you. From day 1, Protek has been the picture of professionalism. We had a room fire and they came in amid COVID 19 and packed our stuff up, cleaned and kept us informed the whole way. The water and fire inspectors were so professional. Kayla was on hand and was so helpful. The whole crew was exceptional. Colten, Anthony, Kayla all the guys and gals in and out of the house were the best. I have given them praises with my insurance company as well.

Please, review my complaint on the Better Business Bureau website.Protek advertisement should reflect services rendered. Protek is truly not a 24 hour water restoration company. Protek deceived me and my insurance company.Protek should try to resolve issues with customers rather than interest in payment only, especially if they know the customer is dissatisfied with services rendered.Protek should allow customers 30 days from service completion date, without harassment.Protek should have proper staffing on hand or allow another company to take the job.Protek should not cause further harm to it's customers.Protek shouldn't send one employee when the job is "big" and arrive to a job with no equipment on hand and stating they'll come by tomorrow with equipment and other employees.Protek primary interest shouldn't be to get customers to sign contracts forms for direct payment authorization and completion of service upon initial arrival... without equipment, thus, no intent to start service that night, and not enough employees to get the job done. (This happened on day #1 and day #2.)Protek negligently caused damage to my walls, floors, and furnishings then requested a contract to repair the furniture and to move the contents.Protek priority should shift to a job done well, customer satisfaction, and causing no harm instead of focusing on collecting payment before services are rendered, collecting as much revenue as possible, and by any means possible.Protek negligence, malfeasance, and malpractice caused additional stress and hardship to an already difficult situation.Protek should be made aware that such business practices is unacceptable.UPDATED:Even though Protek didn't provide me with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service as advertised and I'd already enclosed the losses sustained from work performed by Protek in my initial complaint and review, I would like to include something similar to the sentence below to keep my complaint active and possibly create a better experience for future Protek customers.Due to the nature, damage, hardship, inconvenience, poor job quality, and loss sustained from the work performed by Protek, I'm requesting that you add "refund" or "bill adjustment" for the full amount to the resolution section of my complaint.Lastly, when you transferred our called to your supervisor, he didn't answer so I left a message with my name, number, nature of my call, and my case number. I didn't catch his name on the recording and I don't have his extension so I'm not able to make a direct call to his number. (Less)

Came to my property, could not find the leak, then took pictures and told insurance company that the issues looks like it is preexisting. Insurance almost denied the claim because of their ignorance. The damage was not visible in a closet so it was no way for us to physically see the water leak being the tile that leaked into the closet. I would not trust them for the initially work. I would give ZERO STARS if I could! Don't use them! Very unprofessional and they have poor work quality. They just try to cover up damage and not fix the actual issue. They only worry about their ratings! The lady, Kayla in the office was very helpful... that was the only positive experience we had with Protek. Applied there and was told to call the owner (Brian) and set up at time to come in person to speak with him. Called multiple times to the cell phone number I was given which was his and also texted and never got a call back or text back. Then called the business and asked to speak with him (Brian) and was assured I would hear from him and still never did. I don't care about not getting the job that's not the point have the decency to just tell me something instead of ignoring people.

Protech as they claim to be ircr there's no one in the building except for no one's that is certified to do mold or to do water mitigation also disrespectful he claims a lot of things but it's none of them he claims to be a man of God as he disrespects every one of his customers in the morning meetings it takes advantage of his employees Honda pioneer in having him do things that has nothing to do with protech along with letting employees ride around intoxicated in a company vehicle

My experience with Protek could not have been better! I had major flood damage from a very small leak in my refrigerator ice maker. All of the wood flooring in kitchen, dining room, living room and hallways had to be replaced. They handled everything from the drying process, demo and replacement of flooring and molding. I would recommend them to anyone for any project. Thank you Protek!
