Tony Henrich arranged for vibration-deadening pads to be installed, essentially resolving our problem. We would never us a different service than Moore.

Unfortunately just wanted to reach out and give a solid 1 star to these guys. This morning around 845AM in Eagle River someone in their work fan failed to stop at a stop sign while turning right on Eagle River road and then at the intersection of Eagle River Rd and old Glenn highway they ran a red light while turning left. I won’t be using this company period because of the blatant disregard for people’s safety and driving like a complete idiot. If you are in a company work vehicle I suggest you drive like you care about others around you.

Bought my place a few years ago and the old gas hot water heater was on its last leg. Brown water made taking a bath impossible and dirty. Getting a new one is an investment. Some businesses don’t even call back or take weeks. From the initial call, estimate, and installation Moore Heating was a great choice.

Today I noticed the heat inside my house had drastically gotten much colder over a period of a couple hours. With it being a holiday weekend, I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get an appointment the same day. Fortunately, Gary was able to get me on the schedule and I had a plumber at my home within 2 hours. Chris was able to triage the situation and get to work ASAP. His van was well stocked and he had all the parts necessary to get our furnace up and running within a few hours. There were several parts that needed to be replaced but he remained positive and professional the entire time. He was kind and explained what was happening along the way.We have been customers of Moore Heating for over 27 years now and I’ve never been disappointed by their services. I had a Generac generator installed in my house, and Moore Heating does the service. I was initially put off by a travel fee that is charged, but the total bill for a preventative maintenance visit is $200. The maintenance is fast and professional, and honestly, I am going to be a customer for the life of the generator. Relationships are everything in business.

We cannot say enough good things about Moore Heating or its employees! We had them replace & upgrade both our old furnace & hot water heater. Not only did they have the best price out of three estimates, their work was outstanding! Seriously, not only was everything up and working as designed when they finished, there was not a single screw or piece of ANYTHING left for us to clean up after the installation! In addition, literally every employee we met or talked with went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. There was Tony our sales rep who stayed in contact with us through the entire process, answering any questions, then there was Shelly who worked with our schedule & made sure everything happened on time & as planned, Veronica who not only answered the phone but also made me feel that she cared about what we might be needing, Rob a Moore manager who reached out to us to make sure everything was going well, and then Raheem the technician that actually did the installation who my husband describes as the hardest working guy he’s ever seen! I have used this business for my home and business for more than 20 years. Moore heating is always professional and knowledgeable. I am writing about the service I had today at my home for duct cleaning. Dan Rudd, my serviceman was absolutely professional from start to finish. He called me 20 minutes before arriving and went to work right away. He spent about 3 hours and we hit it off and he went above and beyond for me. He was engaging and respectful and even removed a old sump pump *at my request* because the last contractor left it there and a huge mess to boot! Dan was vacuuming the floors and even got a co worker to bring a new air filter! For a such a young man he was very mature! I lost so much faith in the younger generation and he restored that in me. Updating from a previous review. This team is SUPER AWESOME!! I had some issues with my blower fan on my furnace. I had one of their competitors (Diamond) come out and check what was going on with it. They didn't clean the fan, recommended that we replace the entire unit, and said they couldn't get parts for at least two weeks. Quoted me over 1300$ for parts not including labor. I got a hold of Moore heating for a second quote. They dropped everything, got me the parts I needed and installed it that afternoon, cleaned my entire furnace, all over under half of the competitions quote. Chris the technician was extremely professional and explained everything he was doing and found wrong. Gary on the managment side was AWESOME and found all my parts same day in Alaska so my family wouldn't 1) go without heat or 2) have the fan motor burn up on them and start a fire. Great team, great company, will always use from now on. Thanks again guys! You rule

Recommend. My furnace stopped working today. On my initial call, Gary spent time running through the easy fixes on the phone with me and was clear about after hour hourly rates. After calling around, they were the only ones who could come within a week's time. Shawn was professional, quickly diagnosed the issue, and had replacement parts on hand. The installer did go over on his quoted time, and only billed for 3.5 hours of work. Ballard post was installed, but, in my opinion would not keep a car from still running into the heater. They easily had a 5K sale and instead scheduled a service that would fix our issues instead. We had requested an estimate to have a tankless system put in. The estimator came out, looked at our system and immediately called a senior tech. A couple of minutes later we had a service call scheduled. We had Moore Heating come to look at our gas fireplace not working correctly. The tech wasn't as familiar with diagnosing the problem as we hoped and emailed Moore Heating, The owner contacted me right away and came out and got us repaired ....and was able to determine it was a wall switch not the fireplace. Who knew? He did by his extensive experience. So grateful....I am not mechanically gifted...at all...and really appreciate Moore Heating's care to make things right as well as integrity. Not many companies service gas fireplaces so extra grateful that they do!

Moore Heating did a wonderful job cleaning my air ducts. They were very kind, courteous and professional. The gentleman even checked my dryer vent and advised cleaning in addition to prevent a fire hazard - which appeared to never have been done in the 15 years since my home was built! We all notice a huge reduction in dust accumulation in the home since having the duct cleaning done, and plan to use Moore in the future for this service. Highly recommended.

I needed to have a new furnace installed so I called Moore. I knew they had been around for a long time so I thought they should be the best. Man was I wrong. It worked pretty good for a year. Then it went out and we had to call them. We were over a year from the time we installed it. So. We had to pay about 200.00. For a new part, I thought they should last more than a year but I guess not. The last month I have taken 2 cold showers because it keeps going off thank the Good Lord my daughter knows how to start it now. We had the old furnace for over 30 years and only had a repairman maybe 8 times in that period. I thought the new one would last forever. I can not recommend Moore. Now I call a friend who is also a plumber.

EDIT / UPDATE: I am updating my rating and review on the issue below. Moore did contact us to try and straighten things out. They did contact the manufacturer and apparently the manufacturer now says that they will continue to replace parts, but not the whole water heater. Moore is going to go ahead and have that part on hand so that we do not have to wait for it to be shipped if it goes out again. They also are not going to charge us for any labor associated with fixing this part for the next 5 years. While I would prefer the model be replaced, I feel that this is the best resolution short of that.We had Moore replace both our furnace and water heater about 3-4 years ago. We have loved our furnace (which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 star) but our water heater has been nothing but a headache and Moore has compounded our frustration. Our previous water heater had never had any problems, but it was getting close to 20 years old so we decided to replace it when we upgraded to a new more efficient furnace. Within a month our new water heater failed, and while the part and service were under warranty, we had to live without hot water for 5 days while the part was shipped from the manufacturer back East. Within a year the same part failed again. Part is under warranty, but the shipping and labor charge is not. Again without hot water for several days, paid shipping and paid Moore to install failed part. The same part now fails approximately yearly. We suspect the igniter on this model of water heater is a faulty design (they no longer sell this one) and we suggested that the water heater be replaced with a different model since the same issue keeps happening and we are inconvenienced for multiple days every time. Moore did not agree. Moore was also unwilling to work with the manufacturer to try and get us an extra one of these parts so that the next time it failed we could replace it without the long wait. We eventually talked directly to the manufacturer and they indicated that they could replace the water heater if the local technician agreed and put in the proper order for it. Moore would not do this. And of course, Moore gets paid for labor every time this happens. We could have bought another new water heater by now with the labor charges. This summer it happened again and their technician discovered that it might have been caused by a faulty installation to begin with (they installed it) and then Moore had the audacity to bill us over $500 for the labor time spent troubleshooting the issue. I am extremely frustrated, unhappy with their service, and will not use them again. I will be transferring my annual furnace service to another company unless they rectify this issue. When you buy a new device from a company and it continues to fail repeatedly in the same way, to your cost and inconvenience, then I don't think it is unreasonable to expect them to replace the device with a comparable model - or at least to work with us so that we don't continue to pay money over and over for a known issue.

Had a tech come over to service our boiler, just a simple cleaning. He decided to go above and beyond that by mentioning that our pressure tank was too small and causing a leak from the relief valve. (We were already aware of all of this)He then proceeded to shut off the main water valve, cutting off all incoming water to our boiler, which we had left on to compensate for the drip. (until we had enough extra money to upgrade our tank)His reasoning was that it would be fine until he could come back in a *few weeks* to upgrade the pressure tank set up.Naturally, all the water leaked out (from the drip he ignored). Caused the boiler to fault and shut off. i woke up to the house being 40 degrees and i had to fix the problem myself that their tech created, narrowly avoiding my home freezing up entirely.All i got was excuses and justifications when i called them. I talked with the owner and he made an appointment for a couple days later to change the tank out.They called me last minute and canceled it. Claiming they were "too busy"If i could give 0 stars or less i would, they just came for simple servicing and nearly cause a catastrophe, without any interest in accountability.

I scheduled the duct cleaning service after hearing about it on the radio and purchasing my home last year from pet owners and it was so nice to have them come in and clean all the ductd and remove a lot of the pet hair I could not remove with the vacuum. My dad reported that they came in and had their own tarp like cloth to lay down to not soil any of the floor or furniture that was around the ducts and made sure to get my laundry exhaust vent and apparently it was blocked so I'm so glad that they checked it! He also assisted my dad and changing out the filter for the heating vent. They spend about 20 minutes on each vent and my dad said he was here for quite a few hours since I have 7 -8 ducts plus the laundry & they spent time in the crawl space at the heater. Thank you so much for this service Moore heating I can hear the air moving more freely and feel more comfortable knowing there's less dust and allergens in the home air!

Moore installed an insert in my old inefficient fireplace. WOW! Everything about this experience and outcome was flawless!!! Moore heating worked on my leaking boiler, I called them after another heating company for 3 weeks after seeing my boiler did not give me a quote or return any of my phone calls. Moore heating was very responsive and their customer service (Veronica) was excellent! In 3 weeks not only did they give me a quote they ordered parts and got my boiler fixed. Jason called manufactures and found what was need for warranties on parts on his first visit to house, the part was ordered and received in a week and then fixed the following week. They kept me informed thru the complete process. I would highly recommend them! Thank you Jason and Veronica!

Overall exceptional service, I was in a bit of a bind with a leaky water heater, the placement of which complicated the situation as it was located behind the furnace in a confined closet exterior of my condo. Of three estimates, Moore came in the most affordable, and were able to get a technician out to replace the water heater the same weekend. Both the estimator and the technician were very friendly, professional, and responsive.

I read some negative reviews about these guys, and so I didn't call them right away when my furnace needed cleaning. I called Mountain Mechanical, instead. Mountain Mechanical came out, checked out my furnace and said it was overheating because my air conditioning coils were caked with dust. Since Mountain Mechanical doesn't work on air conditioners, and they weren't able to refer me to any businesses that dealt with residential air conditioners, I called Moore Heating & Air Conditioning.The good:The technicians were great. They have pretty decent technology-- we were able to send pictures of the dirty coils, and they emailed me my invoice right from my garage. They showed up when they said they would and called 20 minutes in advance. The technicians were nice, and they even left the extra coil cleaner so we could do it ourselves next time. I can't comment on the other negative reviews except to say that it seems like Moore Heating & Air Conditioning seems to have improved greatly!The not-so-good:The woman who answered the call was condescending when I explained that my air conditioning coils were preventing adequate airflow through the furnace. She told me that I probably didn't have an air conditioner because it's so rare for Alaska homes to have air conditioners. I had to tell her about 3 times that I have an air conditioner, even though it's rare in Alaska. She just refused to accept the first couple of times I told her, and she asked silly questions like, "Are you sure it just isn't a cool fan setting?" She didn't believe me until I told her I have a big boxy unit on a square pad outside of my garage that keeps my house at 55 degrees all through the summer.

My rating: 4.8 starsMoore Heating installed our energy-efficient furnace about a year ago and I'm happy to say it's working fantastic. Tom did our estimate and was very honest, making sure I knew we didn't NEED a new furnace just to save money on our heating bill, and letting us know that upgrading our water heater wasn't worth the cost.Tony did the actual installation, and the guys were on time, respectful to my wife (who was home alone), and cleaned up after themselves. They even installed an extra outlet and helped her fix our gas fireplace free of charge.My only concern was that after the installation we noticed a loud(ish) humming noise. When we called Moore heating, they sent a guy to examine the issue, and he said the furnace wasn't able to suck up enough air because we only had one intake vent. Tom came over the next day and said we just needed a bigger vent, so he measured out where the wall needed cut, ordered a new vent, and asked if I wanted him to send someone out to install it (which wasn't necessary, so I declined). Both visits were free - I just had to pay $30 for the new vent. Granted, it would've been nice if they'd noticed the intake issue the first time around, but considering that was their only mistake, and they fixed it quickly (and for next to nothing) I was most impressed.I would definitely recommend these guys (especially now that I've met some of their competitors).
