Cheaply built homes that are listed for $420-$500K. With this, the construction crews and subcontractors' contracts must be awarded to the lowest builders. I enjoy seeing their construction sites daily, and all the workers appear drug-addicted. The excavation crew consisted of a teenage-looking boy who barely knew how to operate the equipment. The homes being built are rushed and haphazardly with construction crews that don’t even follow OSHA PPE guidelines. But hey, it’s Alaska! My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new home built by Spinell. We were able to take a floor plan we liked, but change it up to fit our needs. Everything is custom to us, from our countertops to our door handles!There were lots and lots of decisions to be made , many more than if you are buying a home. This is part of the fun, but also stressful! However, with Spinell you know they have your back so you don't have to worry.Communication with the Spinell team was easy and the responses prompt. Even when we decided to make changes to some flooring late in the build they talked us through our options and we worked it all out great.

We are currently building our home with Spinell. The process has been fantastic. It started with a wide range of floorplans that are easily customizable. They are upfront about cost and options and only use the highest quality of materials. They have kept us up to date with frequent correspondence and reached out to communicate whenever there are questions. I would highly recommend Spinell Homes, Inc as well as Questa Locke and her team. They have all been truly wonderful and have made this process enjoyable.

We worked with Spinell to build a custom home. From start to finish the process took about a year and was completed on time as expected. We're incredibly happy with our home and with the workmanship of the Spinell crew. We selected a lot of pieces and components that required attention to detail and they certainly followed through. Very eager to listen to our needs and wants, made helpful suggestions. Every email / phone call / question responded to that same day or next. Kept cost down and informed us of every change in cost and why it had to be one way or the other. We did a complete tear out of a mobile home on a private owned lot, and build of what is a custom home. The demolition took mere days. The home was built very efficiently. Never a lot of wait between phases of the build. We are in our forever home, and we love it!!! Thank you spinell. Spinell Homes went above and beyond on construction of a new home delayed by losses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. None of the delays were caused by Spinell Homes, but they waited and waited and waited until events righted themselves so the sale could close. They were not obligated to do this, they could easily have sold the newly built home for more money, but they waited, showing compassion and understanding during this difficult time. I built a house with this company in 2019 and am currently looking for a builder to build another one. I have left voicemails, text messages and emails with 2 of the real estate "professionals" that work here and have received nothing back. If they happen to answer it always ends with a "let me call you right back" which never happens. I would advise you find a builder that actually has some customer service skills and cares about the customer. Anyone is a step up from this company.Service: New construction services

Attempted to build a new construction home with this company and was ultimately unable to do so due to a lack of communication and poor organization. Was told multiple times that certain homes/lots would fit and then later on they wouldn’t. After weeks of planning and getting lenders lined up and ready to go plans fell through. When expressing my frustration to Questa I was told “ that’s not very nice of me”. Unprofessional and would not recommend, if you are going to attempt to build bring a trusted realtor with you!

Terriable customer service terrible home builder. Basic things done wrong or rushed. My floor squeeks when I walk or parts and my circuit breakers keep tripping Multiple times daily. First electrician did nothing and told me about electric code and that they don’t have to use the new code because the house permit was filled before the new code took effect even though it was a new home bought it 2017. After bringing this up and going on a run around I finally get another electrician who replaces two breakers old style and this works for about two months now I can’t get a response to have someone come to my house to fix this problem. It’s only trips when it rains or snows which leads me to believe there is a bigger problem then having a “bad batch” of new breakers but very tired of having to trip my breakers every morning and jight
