This is a great place to stay in Kayenta. An old style two story motel where you park in front of the room door. It has been well maintained and is in excellent condition. The room was a good size and very clean. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It’s great to see one of these older motels maintained so well.

I have nothing to say about the room and the location, the only downside was the service. We check -in yesterday at 4:20 p.m. on the 11/25/23; prior to this, we called in advance to know the discount price we saw on booking; the lady said she would do the same price and let the other colleague know about it. However, once we got there, the lady whom took the afternoon shift didn’t like that. Therefore, we had to go out to make the booking as the signal wasn’t strong enough. Anyway, we came back and she was cold and rude, she was just looking at the screen all the time pretending we weren’t there, she didn’t smile or say please. Before, to check us in she would make us wait 10 minutes, even though there weren’t any customers, we were the only one. Never, me and my boyfriend have been treated this way, I don’t know what was her problem, since a smile doesn’t cost anything.

Most scenic part of the community if your one the second floor . Sorta ok quick breakfast for an on the the overnighter . BK or Blue pot Diner be best to go to for hot meals of sausage ham or bacon or Burger King French Toast as a side for their 6 dollar platters . And then there's the all day open to closing breakfast and lunch at Sonics

TV didn't work, we stayed there less for 12 hours. They send over a technician and he basically just unplugged a cable and put it back in. (Which we've done allready) He didn't know how to fix it. Next day we had to leave early for our next place as we are constantly on the move. I've talked to the lady at the reception regarding a compensation and she said we had to wait until 9 am because that's when the manager came in. I explained her we had to leave . Then she said we had to call. I said to to her that is difficult for us as we have no coverage, she said we could email. I sent an email and then she said we had to call. Finally I called out of frustration and then I spoke to somebody at the reception who knew from nothing because she just had her days off I am very frustrated with the poor customer service. I work in the travel industry and I work in hotels as a travel representative and I know how it should work. Theyre ignoring the problem now.

The room was so clean. Simple things like having two foldable luggage racks, luxurious towels, beautiful decor with gorgeous woodwork, and sanitized tv remote among other things made it comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was fresh and well stocked by a dedicated hostess. There was indoor and outdoor seating that was comfortable and spacious. The indoor pool area was beautiful as were all interior and exterior public areas. The hall to the breakfast area was especially noteworthy with wall murals and unique art. The gift shop had a nice variety of items and price ranges to choose from. We will certainly stay here if we are through this way again.

Highly recommended. This is a non-chain motel, probably native owned. It is the most expensive motel we have stayed in after 72,000 miles of travel, at $154. That said it was 2/3s of other properties in the area. This is in the middle of the Navajo Nation. There is simply NO place to stay, for 100s of miles! This town next to Monument Valley has the only motels around and pretty much the only substantial population. We once bit the bullet to get to Dry Tortuga National Park and paid $718 for a sea plane. Some of the best money we ever spent. This is in the same category. Monument Valley is stunning, an absolute 10 in breathtaking. Mind you we have been to 242 National Park Sites, we know stunning! You want to come here at all costs. It will be worth it. We took 500 pictures the next day. Blow your eyes out.The managers here were very nice. The property is dated, but clean, we'll maintained, and secure. The store has wonderful native art items. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There were some down sides. The refrigerator doesn't have a freezer. There is not a microwave in the room. However, the office is happy to put items like water bottles in their freezer. They have a very nice microwave in the common area with the laundry and vending. Not ideal but adequate. All the rooms were drive up as I recall. Easy access.

I have to review this motel after going on all the amazing reviews. This place is far from anything special. We stayed here 2 nights ago. It costed $145 for my 10 yr old daughter and I to stay 1 night. I was expecting a nice place for that price!! The pool was ice water and dirty. And "location" may seem good at 1st glance here, but every restaurant and gas station closes around here between 9-10pm. We got in at 9:30, tried to swim since it closed at 10:30. But it was too cold so we went to get food. NOTHING was open. We went without dinner. So I was really looking forward to breakfast. And at $145 a night, I was expecting an amazing breakfast. WOW I've never seen such a sad breakfast in any motel so far in my life. They had cereal, apples, mixed fruit cups, 2 kinds of tiny muffins, and milk. We set the alarm to wake up at 7am to eat cereal!!!!! This motel reminds me off a job I use to have when I was young. The owners would massively overcharge to "weed out the poor white trash". Their words not mine. That is this motels behavior.

I unfortunately stayed at this motel in October, 2009. It was the site of one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life! From the reading of some of the reviews some things have not changed.I had driven from the Grand Canyon and was in need of using the restroom. Before registering, I asked if I could use the facilities. My request was denied. After explaining that my need was urgent; I was told, most emphatically, that I was not allowed to use the restroom.I did try my very best to control my bodily functions. Unfortunately, I lost control of my bladder and urinated on myself, soiling my clothes, my shoes and messing up the carpet. The stain that I left on their carpet was not noticed. It was a humiliating experience that could have been avoided had just a simple courteous been offered.

The room was fine (especially for the price we paid). Pool was quite cold but still nice. Receptionist wasn’t very friendly though, we didn’t feel welcome at all, and when asking for a restroom we could use after a long drive (because we arrived early and our room was not ready yet, which is totally understandable), we were told to ‘hold on’ and wait, because there was no restroom we could use. Everything taken into account, we liked the room but not our welcome

Clean, comfortable, with very nice, helpful staff. My room smelled fine-- no old smoke or chemical cleaner smells at all.The windows can be opened. The laundry worked well, and was a good value. The heater is loud, and you can hear the traffic on the road. But hey, it's a roadside motel.

The most amazing find! The room was clean and showed that to be usual. and was the bathroom! The room was large and so clean! The staff was so pleasant! Both at night and in the morning! Consistently consistent a very pleasant experience! Breakfast was great! If you are in route to Monument Valley, this is a place you owe yourself to stop at! My college degree was Hotel Restaurant Management. This place is right out of the textbook!

We are making a big tour in America, today we checked into the hotel. I'm shooting youtube videos by traveling around the world. I have never seen such a disrespectful, disinterested, hostile employee at the reception of any hotel in any country until now. No matter how nice the hotel is, it's not worth paying a single cent. run away and find another hotel. By paying $200, you won't be exposed to rudeness on top of it.

Very good accommodations for the areaNot inexpensive butRooms clean, well kept, very professional staffBring your mask as they are required when inside. If you like a beverage in the evening when relaxing be sure to bring it with you as it is a dry town.

Awesome location and basic, but hospitable stay.Make reservations ahead of time! Hotels in the 70-mile radius get sold out quickly (even in August when we were here). They have a great, albeit small indoor pool that's a godsend after a day's worth of hiking. Free breakfast and Internet count towards good points, too.Internet is actually surprisingly fast given the location and profile of the property.Well done, we'll be back again.

This motel turned out to be a nice surprise while vacationing in Arizona (spring 2019). Stayed here on route to monument valley. Check in/out was easy, room was clean and the bed was super comfy. Nice breakfast selection. Highly recommended

Staff was extremely nice. Room was clean and met our needs. Continental breakfast was on par with most, although the kids really loved the pancake maker. Rooms are a little outdated, but again, the room met our requirements for a place to stay over night. No real complaints.
