Do not recommend this Ace! Waited patiently for 5 weeks for several screens to come back looking like this. When my wife picked them up she raised concern that the screens were misshaped and they told her that was normal (no it's not). Screens need to be squared before material is installed. Now I will have to pay extra for material and get to do it myself. If you lack expertise to do something just say no. Thanks Ace!

Great store and awesome staff. The owner is awesome and helps customers the same as staff. Their sarcasm is great and has been on both sides of it myself. If you don't like a bit of humor in your day or sarcasm, learn how that works first. ;-)Have taken multiple UPS packages here to ship and they help, without issue. Need paint matched, they got you and looking for something special that isn't on the shelf, talk with them, they will help you order it.Remodeled the store recently and helped facilitate the areas better for the products provided.Locally owned and operated with your money staying in the area. Love this place.

We purchased a rv water pressure regulator from the Davis Ace Hardware in Springerville Arizona. We installed it, it did not work as intended. The water flow was very slow. We fussed with it for a while, with no change. It would not work as needed.My wife took it back for a refund a week later when she was heading into town. With the open package, and receipt in hand, she politely asked for a refund. She was exposed to having to go through several level of scrutiny, by different employees, at one point having to wait five to tens minutes while they chose to test it. An older gentleman came back and told her that it works. My wife said, it didn't work for us, and he said it works here. My wife ask for a manager, and made contact with the owner. The owner said they could not return it, they had to make a store wide policy that if the item worked, they wouldn't except returns. The reason she gave, was because people are returning air-conditioners, and heaters after using them after a couple of weeks. My wife said, she would not do something like that, and also replied, so I just suppose to put this part in a drawer that doesn't work. The owner replied, oh I doubt that will happen.My wife returned home very distraught, as she has never gone through such scrutiny for simply returning an item at an Ace Hardware store. We later put the regulator on, just to see it still not work. Our original was only replaced due to it had developed a leak, otherwise worked flawlessly.A few days later my wife called the manufacturer of the regulator and they were very accommodating. A Mr. Quincy was surprised to here about issue, and advised to try again and let Davis Ace Hardware know, they will stand behind the product. If they had any issues that they could call him and he would verify it.The following day I returned to Davis Ace Hardware and politely asked for a refund, stating my wife was in a few days ago and was not able to get a refund. I was referred to another employee and sharply told no we will not refund that item. I explained the part does not work as I have reinstalled it after they tested it and it still does not work. The employee stated the owner has already made a ruling on this, and she had previously came down an talked to your wife about it. The employee said, they will not return it. I left with out what I would call a fair resolution.Essentially it as though both my wife and I were called liers. It is very unlikely at the store they were able to duplicate pressure and flow through the regulator that would be consistent under its intended use. My wife had previously asked them if they wanted to come over and test it with us, they were welcome. They said they could not do that, which I understand, but we had nothing to hide.My assessment of the experience is due to the return policies being abused by others, we were victimized by there stereotyping. If we are doing something wrong, I get it, however we had a malfunction part, returned it with receipt a week later under the sitxy days as required on the receipt. We did nothing wrong, but it was implied we had. To say the least it was a very disappointing experience. Bottom line if the part had worked it would have been used.It is unfortunate but we will have take our bussiness elsewhere. I do not recommend this store, due lack of integrity by not standing behind their products, and the disrespectful treatment.P.S.And no giving us a gas-lite response will not make this behavior acceptable.

I agree with the last 2 reviews. These people are not there for you except to take your money. I bought a kitchen faucet valve that ruptured after 21 days after purchase. There is only 30 psi going into it. I asked to return it and they said "No, it's a manufacturer problem and to talk to them." Kind of interesting because my business sells parts and hardware items to consumers including appliances. When a customer returns a product to me, I myself contact the manufacturer and I give my consumers a new part or item back and I deal with the manufacturer who then sends the new item back to me. I am a local who's been here for many years and I do not recommend these people. My receipt is also below to show proof to would be future customers.*update 1/14/21- Owner responded by saying that my faucet froze in 70 degree ambient temperature home that I LIVE full time right up the street from them. I actually wanted a replacement not a REFUND. I also purposely adjusted my inlet water pressure regulator valve to my home to prevent ruptured water lines. I also have a pre warmer for my home for the cold water inlet to my home including a 5 stage water filtration system. Any other excuse you want to give? I don't have to walk in to be helped, why have a business phone line? Self entitled selfish owners.

It has been a couple months since I have been back and I am a week behind on this review. I gotta say that Ray is a killer in that repair shop. I have to travel quite a distance to this store but it is worth it. He is speedy, efficient, professional, and knows his stuff. If there is a repair shop closer, my suggestion is to bypass it, go the extra miles and get it done correctly and quickly. Thank you Ray and Mrs Davis!!!

Best and most knowledgeable customer service I have ever received. We went in today with with some very old and obscure well parts that had froze and broke. They had everything we needed, took the time to explain everything to me and the one part the didn’t have, they found a similar part and modified it for me so it would work. They saved our weekend at the cabin, and we are super grateful. Thank you!

Went to this store a few weeks back to get a couple chainsaw chains. Instead of selling me that "might" work the owner and Ray suggested I bring them in. I came back 2 weeks later and handed them off to Ray to take a look at. This guy is awesome!!!! The new chainsaw blade was perfect and the tune up on the other was phenomenal!!! One pull and it roared to life. Thank you buddy!!!Great job!!!

I was looking for an immersion heater and couldn't find one in the area. I went to this store and the cashier said they had one so she helped me find it. I'm very happy with both the product and the great customer service!

My rating is one star for the few employees who are helpful and positive. To expand, we bought our retirement home in the area almost 3 years ago. We made a commitment to spend our money in town, in an effort to support our future full time home. Everything we do for that home is local. We have experienced good to great service in most locations in the area. The Ace Hardware has been different. From day one we have experienced people who were less than interested in offering good service and down right grumpy. As a matter of fact, the general body language of several of the staff is cold and inconvenienced. We noticed it was mostly the front end, but one specific employee was always rude, unwelcoming and downright unhappy. Since then, we have approached the store with a "kill with kindness" mentality and tried to write the grumpiness off as unhappy people (as initially stated, there are some very pleasant/helpful employees there also, so thank you to them). Fast forward to a recent sled purchase. We decided to take the kids to play in the snow and stopped at Ace to give them our business. When we inquired about the sleds, the cashier and the person who allowed access were far from interested in offering any type of service, as a matter of fact, we felt we were inconveniencing them. We made the purchase and proceeded down the street to Java and Junk for a Coffee and some shopping. After about an hour, we decided we should return the sleds to Ace. We took our brand new, unused sleds back to the store, with receipt. As we entered the store, we were once again communicating with the same front end employee/cashier (wish I got her name) who was less than interested in helping us. We told her we would like to return the sleds and she grumpily responded that there are NO RETURNS on sleds, heaters and water heaters! She then gestured to a little pink sign on the covid barrier that outlined the policy accordingly and told us the posting made it "in compliance with the law." She actually now seemed excited to tell us we couldn't return the items. Following an unpleasant interaction with her, we asked to speak to the manager expecting some common business sense. While waiting, the unpleasantries continued with this cashier (from all of us at this point). She then called on her little radio and announced "I'm walking away before I...(we couldn't hear the last part but can only imagine). Shortly thereafter, the one consistent grumpy/unhappy employee shows up and is "the Manager." Now the grumpy employees makes sense! They are feeding off of this "manager." She was then surrounded by her fellow employees as if my wife and I were going to start a brawl?! We told her we understand the policy, but we literally just bought the items. They were clearly unused and we requested she make a "good service decision" and allow the refund (again, they were clearly unused and the time stamp on the receipt supported the short amount of time that had taken place). The "Manager" stood her ground and refused the refund. At that point we made it clear we would take our business to the other local stores that have what we need, or to the big box stores in another location. She certainly did not care at the loss of business. We asked for upper management contact information and she was horribly reluctant to provide any detail. In doing a little more research, it appears this Manager is also part of the family owned business....further clarity to the concern. In closing, My wife and I spent many of our earlier years working in building material retail (big box). While some times you have to stand your ground, it always boils down to a judgment call and good business sense. This manager steps over dollars to pick up nickels all day long, simply because she is unhappy. The amount of money we would have spent at that location for the rest of our lives far exceeds the $60 they made on the sleds. Furthermore, we will now be taking our hardware business to other towns/cities, which is sad. It is gross business neglect and very disappointing.

Came and parked here for 20 minutes in the parking lot and got kicked out. I was just doing doordash orders. I was the only car in their parking lot and they still told me to leave. And not just one guy, it was a whole group of people who came around my car lol what a bunch of losers

Nice Home Town hardware store. Folks are friendly and helpful. Offer to order what you need if their out or don't normally stock item. Their manager is a busy gal! Stocking shelves, running a register, helping folks and keeps things moving. A gem.

This little store has a very good selection and friendly staff. It is good to see a small town at least have it good hardware store which is much needed anywhere and it is located right on main street so of course you can’t miss it.

I rarely if ever write reviews about places. But I have gotten so fed up with this place! I hate that there’s only Ace Hardware and Woodland here. At least Woodland staff is amazing and kind. But the staff here is absolutely awful I would have to say about 80% of the time. I understand they are short staffed and I’ve been nothing but kind and patient but every time I go in there someone is just blatantly rude if I ask a question! Not all of the staff but there is one particular lady who is every time. I try to avoid this place if I can

My husband and I went to Ace today because 2 kitchen sink hoses busted in our RV. We have an older RV, 2006 and of course nothing seemed to match what we needed. Ronnie, the customer service guy was so helpful. We brought in our old part and he took the time to take it apart for us then try to find something comparable to fit. He spent a good hour or more with us all while helping other customers in between. We purchased what we needed and came back yo fix the kitchen sink.I have to say that Ace has a knowledgeable and helpful employee in Ronnie.

Neighbor rented bobcat for us. We thought it was just a piece of junk but it turned out it had a loose hydraulic connection from what they said after sending someone out to “see what we did to it. That it’s a new bobcat and very disappointed. Thought we would lose our security deposit and be charged over it. But thankfully the person they sent out was honest and owned up to it being nothing to do with us.. yards until today are still a mess because we couldn’t back drag the dirt at all. And took so long to raise and drop bucket. Renting one from a different place soon to finish our projects.I have given this place many chances but this time the rudeness has pushed me away again. I only started using them again because they took the mask thing serious and being at risk I needed it. Thankfully I am not so concerned and can go to the other locals now.would have gave 1 star but I gave 3 because the honest guy that came out and the few employees there that are polite and knowledgeable.although the owner is a very knowledgeable person..if you shop there and no problems it’s a great place. Any issues or problems and you will see what I mean.Update. People will see how you are by your reply. 56 hours and had a loose hydraulic line. Pretty bad but you jumped to conclusions before sending you mechanic checked it out. Also only the renter operates it.but sure people will be glad to know only one person is allowed to run it.and wasn’t closing time. It was morning when we discovered the leak so didn’t use to finish . It was just thought it didn’t work good for back-dragging dirt. And the call was the first chance he had. Mainly didn’t want to move it and that’s why he called. But good reply. People know about you. Now they will know about equipment rental too. Things happen for a good reason. Found a better, cheaper and friendly new place in town. And recommending them to many alreafy.

Moves to Springerville about a month ago and have spent a lot of money here. I bought a coaxial Cale for $10.00 and it didn't work for what I needed. I tried to return it in excellent condition but part of the barcode was torn, only way to get the cable out, but was still able to use the packaging. They rudely refused to take it back and was in great condition. I will never go back and always use Western Drug Store or Lowes in Show Low - all over $10.00. They don't represent the friendly town of Springerville well.So much for your reply, I would buy this in a heartbeat if I saw it and needed it. Never used.

Ace has a wide variety of inventory. They are very helpful and will even point you in the right direction of where to get something if they don't happen to have it. They also do a lot for our community! I'm Grateful to have them here!

The managers are PREJUDICE!!! I left this building feeling very insulted. I called before arriving about whether they had quikrete b/c St Johns ACE was out. I drove an hour to get there and had to use the restroom upon arrival. Robin rudely(tone was unwelcoming) asked “Do you need something?”… next thing you know I’ve waited 15 min to use a restroom that one of their employees(Joshua) was using instead of the employee restroom next to it. On the way back to the register I stopped and asked Joshua where is the concrete located. He said I had to go to the Front desk to purchase it and then they would load it. Once I got to the register, which I was standing out of line on the side because I was going to inquire and then run out to the garden section really quick to see what they had seeing I am an avid gardener….and that’s prolly one of the reasons they prejudged me because I had my garden attire on…. Well, the stocky tall short haired lady was just finishing up a phone call where she ended with “Have a blessed day” so I was certain she wasn’t going to come off the same as Robin - well, she asked rudely “Did you come in to just use the restroom?” Now as a customer…how would that make you feel? I said Nooooo, I was about to go look in the nursery section etc…she proceeded to say, “Well where’s the key?”….and I pointed to and mentioned that I had given it to Joshua who was approaching the register area….but at that moment was when I decided that I would never give that building with those people in it a penny of my hard earned money. It’s unfortunate when even in a small town this happens - where there is supposed to be more warmth and community - it was definitely a burden for them to exercise professional customer service….horrible business practices taking place here!!!

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!First… You never know when they will be open.Today, I called to see if they had someone that could fill propane, the man that answered said yes. I told him I would be right up. He said “ok sounds good”. I drove up there and the they were closed. Not even 15 minutes later. The workers in the parking lot said they didn’t know who I would have talked to. They said they were closed this was a little after 3:30pm and their sign says they close at 4pm.I had called another time and they said they had someone who could fill propane on site, when I arrived, they said they didn’t. Then tried to sell me little propane tanksAnother time, I called for an RV part. They said they had it. Yet when I arrived, they did not.!I am always told that no one says anything. That they have no idea who I spoke with. Even when I have mentioned the persons name, they tell me he didn’t talk to anyone.AGAIN… DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. There are other places to go to.

While I am not originally from Springerville but after moving here I needed to do some serious home repairs. Davis has always had what I need and someone is always around to answer my questions. The paint desk was very informative and had great suggestions. Due to circumstances, I don't stop by as often but when I stopped by yesterday (May 13) they greeted me by named and assisted me in finding what I needed. I was pleased to see that the owner had established a mandatory mask rule, it's refreshing going into a business that is more concerned about public and employees health than the bottom dollar, this combined with pet friendly atmosphere make shopping an enjoyable experience.

Every time I’ve come to this store, they are extremely un-organized. I went in for a wheelbarrow and they didn’t have any put together, and I had to wait for 20 min until someone could figure out where the boxes were kept. I’ve also had to wait for 30-40 min for someone to load a pallet of cement on my truck because no one knew how to drive the forklift. Not to mention the parking is ALWAYS a joke.
