Scheduling was very easy and the serviceman was on-site as scheduled for my winter service. The repairman, Matt, was professional and thorough. He changed my filter, climbed in the crawl space/ attic serviced the equipment, took pictures of the condition and showed them to me. He attached them to my file and wrote notes to review at the next seasonal service. He took care of the air handler equipment outside. Before he left, he explained everything clearly to me. People who have home warranties expect that this company or any company for that matter is required to fix their AC like it's a Lowe's or HD product. That's not how it works at all?!!! If you think a home warranty was a worthy cause you've been duped the moment you thought that!!! A majority of AC units are typically covered by a 10-year PARTS warranty, depending on the manufacturer. (Common ones are Trane, Lennox, Daikin, Goodman, mostly the big brands) However, LABOR warranty is only limited to a 1 year warranty (required by code for new installs) UNLESS the manufacturer that makes the unit specifically states you receive BOTH but that is rare and most of them charge extra for both parts and labor upon the request of the owner but typically their new unit is covered for parts that go bad. I've worked in the industry for 10 yrs and know very well the inner workings of how warranties work. Home warranty is different. MOST of them are scams, but some are good, i.e.. a lady who's compressor went out, her home warranty company covered the cost of labor and the manufacturer covered the cost of the part so my company (SunTech) was paid by her home warranty to install the new compressor but that was a rare GOOD home warranty company. Folks, DO YOU HOMEWORK! Not all home warranties are created equal, especially since they are not on your side. (They're like insurance companies that try to worm their way out of EVERY claim and will do the bare minimum to get out of spending money)The best avenues to take is to purchase an extra labor warranty from the manufacturer of your new unit that covers everything both parts and labor, although quite expensive, it gives you that peace of mind that it doesn't come out of your pocket! The other thing you can do is maintain your unit with a maintenance plan with the company (or any) that installed the unit. This preventative maintenance is CRUCIAL to the overall health and longevity of the unit and not doing so will cost you undue stress in the worse moments like not being able to get your unit fix in 100+ degree weather. The cliche, "an ounce of medicine is worth a pound of cure," rings true in this situation.PRO TIP ADVICE: It be in your best interest to learn about how an AC unit works so that companies that do offer maintenance plans don't fleece you with unnecessary repairs (basically scamming you) where they pressure their techs to making a certain quota that they're pretty much coerced to lie about those repairs. You don't have to be an expert on it but there's so many simple YouTube videos out there that explain in layman's term how each part, each system works to help prevent yourself from getting screwed over. Do yourself THAT favor and don't be like the folks thay blame everything on the industry because they don't get what they want. Take matters into your own hands!!! And finally, ALWAYS register your product (or ANY product that you buy for that matter) the day you purchased it or got it installed with the manufacturer because if you don't, they'll limit it down from a 10 yr to 5 yr coverage.This is especially important when you buy a home from a seller that has a new or used AC unit to register it within 30 days of owning it.

My original review is at the end, it’s still a valid review BUT, I just called them about getting a water heater replacement ESTIMATE. It’s not an emergency, but mines 19 years old, time to do it. They wanted a $50- service call for an ESTIMATE. They didn’t charge anything for my $6,000- Furnace/AC Estimate. And I picked them. The lady on the phone just said SORRY. Too bad. If my Furnace/AC has a problem I’m calling someone else. 👎 That reduced your 5 stars to a 3 star..………. I got 9 quotes on a new AC/Furnace system. They had the 2nd best price/Warranty. One issue on the install. But the service man Kyle figured it out. Corrected it. System has worked satisfactory since. No extra, or surprise charges.

Great service, could not be happier called another company told them the issue they charged me to change a different part and my ac was still broken, ordered the part myself tried to install it and couldn’t called Grand Canyon and they had a tech out same day and to you Todd I do appreciate you working past 4 and fixing my ac everyone in my home appreciates you. Grand Canyon AC was recommended to me by a friend in the evening. I texted a technician and told what was wrong and he replied in a timely manner and said he would get with the front office in the morning. The front office actually called me that night and got an appointment tonight for the next day, when the technician, Mike, came, he was very courteous and friendly. He found the problem and fixed my air conditioning unit within an hour. I had an all-around very positive experience with this company. I would recommend them to anybody!Service: HVAC system repair

Our gas fireplace was making a lot of black soot due to the fake logs being moved, so we scheduled a fireplace cleaning. Our service technician, Todd, was very polite had boot coverings, and asked if we'd prefer he wear a mask. He took extra precaution to make sure and cover the surrounding area so that soot didn't make a mess when he took the cover off, as the glass was completely covered in soot. He worked diligently while I went back to my office to work, and let me know everything he did when he was done. I was very pleased with their on-time service and our fireplace looks new again. It's hard to believe it's the same fireplace. I would definitely recommend them for fireplace cleaning services.Service: Heating system repair

I called Grand Valley to service my furnace. The young lady that answered the phone was friendly and professional and scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. Called on a Sunday and they arrived within 2 hours to replace a bad fan motor on my a/c. Mike had the part on his truck and had the fan and capacitor swapped out within an hour. Lennox "warrantied" my 3 year old motor for a whopping $75 which didn't make much of a difference in the $1100+ bill, but that is on Lennox's hands. Very happy with the service and professionalism of GCHS! Wouldn't give a nickel for another Lennox system!

We first called Grand Canyon in 2016 after we found issues and damage to our one year old compressor from the original builder install that was no longer under warranty.
