Tom Watson stole 15k total from us. My husband & I were looking into building our first home, and decided to meet with Kyle and Tom. After our first meeting we gave Tom & Kyle a 5k “lot deposit”, later finding out he didn’t even own that lot at the time. We carried forward after they offered to build the house and carry the bank note, until the construction was complete, then at that time we would purchase the home from them. Things got messy after this, Tom Watson and Kyle continually changing things and things quickly became confusing.As first time home buyers/builders we feel they played on our lack of experience. They took a total of 15k knowing we had not secured any financing yet.They asked us for an additional 15k, of which we ended up providing 10k. We were not prepared to hand over 20k in a matter of one months span, considering the written agreement was that we would not need to provide financing for another 9 months or so. The agreement was, their bank would provide TOM WATSON LLC the construction loan, then once the house was complete, we would secure financing and purchase the house from Tom Watson.During this time, Jennifer had been very quick & thorough to email us any documents ahead of time, so they we could review. However, the one document that changed the terms of the financial agreement, was never sent ahead of time and was instead, slipped in during a busy meeting where we were signing other documents. Prior to this, she was very persistent in wanting us to review the previous documents, but this particular document was never sent ahead of time nor discussed before that meeting.The entire shadiness of this ordeal is recorded in our contracts, emails & text messages with Tom, Kyle, and Jennifer.This experience has been deeply distressing for our family, and has not been a good, first time experience to build/buy a house. Jennifer stated they will no longer respond to our emails, because we were not willing to sign their settlement agreement and accept their offer to only refund us 5k, of the 15k. To this day, we have $0 of the 15k and will be pursuing a refund for the total amount in its entirety. At this point, it’s a matter of principal. We feel that Tom Watson, as well as his employees, preyed upon naive customers instead of guiding us through the complicated home building process with integrity.

Tom & his entire team have been helpful & readily available from start to finish. We were worried building was going to be stressful, but they have made it effortless while still giving us plenty of opportunities to make creative decisions. When it comes to building a new home, the most important things to us, in order, were integrity and responsiveness, reputation, design and build skill, attention to detail, and a loyal sub-contractor base. After completing the house-building journey with them, we now know Tom Watson and his team better than we ever have…and we are very very happy. We intend to use Tom again when our son looks for a new house, and we will recommend him to anyone who asks us.The house was completed as promised, both time-wise and with regard to the specification. Small issues were addressed promptly, and with an attitude that makes us feel valued by Tom and his people. The quality of construction is apparent, and the finishes are all we hoped for. We have built our dream home, with the help of Tom Watson, and we are very grateful that we choose his company.

We cannot recommend Tom and his team enough! As first-time home buyers, we were hesitant to go through the process of building. Everyone at TWC made this a seamless experience! Jennifer is detail oriented and organized, making sure communication is a top priority throughout the whole timeline. George is hardworking and accommodating of every request and concern. Tom and his wife Cindy are kind, honest, and experienced. They willingly answered our many questions and were willing to give advice when we needed it!We are extremely pleased with how our new house turned out and are happy to be in it after only roughly 4 months of construction! Tom and his team are as professional as they come. We were walked through every step and had a clear understanding of where we were at in the process. Any delays we ran into were addressed by his team before we even knew about them. Any questions we had, Jennifer and Kyle were always there to answer (and we had a lot as first time home builders). 6 months in the house now and we still hear from his team to make sure everything is perfect. We had the best experience working with Tom Watson Construction. I was living in AZ while my husband was out here during the entire process. Everyone on Tom's team was extremely professional, helpful, and made the process so easy. Jennifer, in the office, was amazing. So willing to help and quick with any answers to any questions I had. Not being here to see the home building process was nerve racking but Tom, Jennifer, George, and everyone involved did everything they could to help us. I raved about this company to everyone in AZ and highly recommend Tom and his team if you are thinking of building in AR. They worked with us and understood when COVID put a slight delay in the sale of our home in AZ. Everyone Tom referred us to for choosing our lights, appliances, flooring, etc. was professional and helpful. When choosing a builder, Tom Watson, Construction was highly recommended to us. After our initial consultation, we knew there was just something different about Tom and his stellar team! I did not directly use Tom Watson construction's services. However I was impacted by a real estate issue involving the company. I was very pleased with how they handled the complication. I believe we were treated fairly and they worked to do the right thing for everyone involved. If I do need something done in the future I'll be reaching out to them to have the work done.

Outstanding builder and team! We conducted extensive research into builders in the central Arkansas area as we were moving from another state. Tom and his team came highly rated and recommended. The attention to detail by his staff and design team made custom building a home from another state a smooth and hassle free process. As the general contractor, he picked a select group of highly rated and professional subcontractors in their own right. Tom met or exceeded expectations especially when it came to accelerating the build schedule. This allowed us to move into our new home in late summer instead of early fall, avoiding the rains and cold associated with the fall.As with any newly built home and a change to the seasons, minor adjustments needed to be made to the home. Tom and his team are ultra responsive. Any questions I have are normally answered nearly immediately or at the latest within one business day. I’ve never wondered did they get my message as they respond if not instantly, within a short amount of time. It’s a credit to his staff and organization.Need design or decoration advice; Cindy and Jennifer are very experienced, have great taste and are consummate professionals. Need construction advice; Tom and George each have over 40 years in the home building business. An example was on the blue prints when we wanted to add a media room. They were able to make room design suggestions I hadn’t thought about and then get the blueprints updated immediately. Tom was able to coordinate with the subcontractor to prewire the media room eliminating the need to run speaker wire across the room or worry about interference if using a wireless system.So, if you want a well designed, built and decorated home with exceptional attention to detail, do yourself and your family a favor, hire Tom Watson Construction and his team of professionals.
