Had an absolutely amazing experience with this company. Elijah came to our house to do an inspection and a cleaning. He was very prompt and polite and was honest when he said that our fireplace didn't need a cleaning that it was in good shape. Honesty goes a long way with me and I hope that we can work again in the future. Definitely recommend this company

When you call, they don't answer. Their voicemail says "we'll call you back within the next couple business hours". I've left 3 messages over the last 14 business days.....still no returned call. So I took my $20,000 job to another company that not only returned my call, they showed up the next day ready to start.

There a lot of options when it comes to roofing and chimney services, but these guys are the best! Professional, prompt, and fairly priced. I've used them for commercial jobs and on my own house and have always been very impressed. If I've learned 1 thing in 30 years of construction, it's "you get what you pay for". You will be able to find a cheaper price with another contractor, but you'll end up hiring Top Hat to come fix their work later.

After my review yesterday Jake Cromwell was notified and immediately called us to see what our problem was and just left our house! We both tried calling the number on Google and it failed to go to him or anyone in the company so GOOGLE is the reason why he never answered me back. If you need TOP HAT CHIMNEY I WOULD ADVISE TO CALL THE NUMBER ON THERE ACTUALLY WEB SITE!!! DO NOT USE THE CALL BUTTON ON GOOGLE WHEN YOU SEARCH ! After Jake came out and talked about the problem he was very apologetic and we both felt bad that this happened. So Top Hat has completely regained my trust and this explains how bad the digital corruption is in our world! So when you need him definitely call his number on his actual website and Merry Christmas to the Top Hat Chimney Family!!

Top Hat installed a stove for me that I had already purchased. They supplied everything from the stove up. It leaked from day one. I kept calling and telling them that it was still leaking. My brand new wood stove and oven is rusted and my ceramic floor is permanently stained.They came out many times adding caulking each time. Then the repair guy said it was my roof that was the problem.I had my whole roof replaced and it still leaks. The roofing company water tested the chimney and it leaked only when water was applied to the chimney and not when water was applied to only the roof. A Top hat manager or owner was supposed to be there for the water test but never showed and didn’t answer his phone all that day. I have been emailing and leaving messages on the phone now for 3 weeks only requesting information about what chimney is on my roof so that parts can be ordered . The only response I received was that the office sent said they had been forwarding all 4 of my emails to the “person” who should handle this situation.My request for information is extremely reasonable under the situation and the lack of response leaves me in a difficult situation.

I hired these guys to replace a single piece of metal roofing to cover a removed stove pipe. I was told they may not be able to match the color perfectly but would be close. After a year or so, the Google aerial view got updated with new pictures and found out they installed one red sheet of roofing on my blue roof. I can't see it from the ground but potential buyers will likely see this image first.**Update.The owner of Top Hat contacted me and came to inspect the issue. He got on the roof and took pictures. The color of the replacement metal is closer than aerial photo's appear. However the aerial photos will be the first thing potential buyers see so there's no real change there.While I had him here, I pointed out some other issues where the craftsmanship of the previous work was lacking. He sent out another person to correct that issue and this time it was performed much better and the finished product shows it. This correction was done free of charge and the gentleman that did the work was very cordial.I was then asked to revise this review.

I’ve dealt with other roofing companies that are closer to me and have had bad experiences. So far, Top Hat has listened to what my concerns are and what I want the outcome to be and have given me options and no pressure to spend more than what I’m comfortable with. Elijah especially has been very easy to talk to. Love ok’ing forward to having them come back to do my roof of repairs.

So far we only have an inspection report but Jake was very thorough in explaining and showing me all the defects in our fireplace and chimney as well as how they occurred. We will be using Top Hat for all of our repairs from this incident! We have since had all of our repairs completed and we are so happy with our beautiful and safe fireplace and chimney!

I just wanted my chimney swept. Used them before, but all I got was an internal video with a statement of all the repairs needed that amounted to enough for a swrewd realtor to get wind of it to knock off $10,000 of our asking price to sell our home. I lived in Springdale when they just got started in business, and they just cleaned chimneys. They really have evolved into an outfit that will fleece you if you are a gullible person. I hate it because they were close to my parent's home in Springdale, and I got really perturbed when I had to see their business location all the time. Thank you whoever your name was who cost us. Country boy crooked.

They arrived when they said they would. They were quick in doing the work. They told me both what I didn’t need done as well as what I did. Therefore, they charged me no more than needed. The work they did was excellent.The only difficulty was getting in touch with them in the first place. I called on a Thursday morning, no one answered, so I left a voice mail. I called once a day after that without additional voice mails, but still didn’t find anyone to answer. No one called in response to my voice mail until the following Tuesday. That surprises me but I saw other reviewers have the same issue. I waited for the call back because of the positive reviews of the work they did.

Had them do 2 skylights that required custom fabrication work. One was fine and the other had an issue. They fixed the issue but the inside diffuser refused to go back into place. Under warranty, a replacement was ordered….that was 2 months ago. We have called with no response for status update. We get an answering machine, no one calls back. The work was fine, but at this price we expected better service. I feel like the check was cleared and the caring stopped. We get delays these days, but a phone call or email is simple.So now it is summer, none diffused light is pouring into the home and it’s a focal beam of heat, so maybe they have stock in an electric company because the A/C is enjoying the new sun spot.This is something simple, imagine if it weren’t. This response time and communication is horrible.

These people were amazing. So very professional and kept me informed during the whole process, scheduling, arrival, completion. We just bought a new house and we know nothing about chimneys. We were scheduled for an inspection and a cleaning. They did the inspection and told my husband it didn't need cleaning and then charge us just for the inspection. They could have easily inspected and cleaned (we wouldn't know if it needed it or not) and charged us for both. I will continue to use this company for all our chimney needs.
