Made a call to Horizon Roofing finding a roof leak after it rained. Frank answered the phone and promptly came out to check and inspect the entire roof. Finding a broken tile that had slid almost all the way out, exposing the underlayment which had been damaged allowing water to enter our home.Frank made recommendations for the repair and gave me a fair quote. He showed up on time and performed the repair and also sealed all the roof vents, giving me a 3 year warrantee on all his work and I could not be more pleased. Horizon Roofing will now become my roofing company for all and any future roofing needs. Thank you for your great service Frank. 5 stars

The rain storm caused a leak to the skylight in our bathroom. The water damage was starting to cause some molding problems. So, we needed to fix the leak right away. Frank was very responsive when I called and came out very quickly to give me an estimate. We were able to set up the start date of the project and he finished promptly. He also fixed other areas on the roof that had issues that we weren't aware of, and he did it within a reasonable budget. Thank you so much Frank for taking care of us! We had rotten wood in the eaves of my house. After estimates from 4 different roofing companies, we hired Horizon Roofing.  They did a great job! They inspected the roof and wrote up a very reasonable estimate while at my house. Then, they made all the repairs in the same week. While repairing the roof Frank discovered more damage wood, he fixed it with NO EXTRA charge. I highly recommended Frank at Horizon Roofing.

This is the second time I've used Frank's services and they did not disappoint. He and his son showed up as expected and did a great job taking off the old roof and replacing it with a new one. They did the entire job as promised and left the surrounding area as clean as when they started. He even went the extra mile to repaint the eaves which I didnt expect! I have great experience with Frank. I really needed to fix a leak on the tile roof quick around chimney and I asked few roofers for estimate. Not only Frank replied quickly and visited to my house to give me an excellent written quote next day, but also he was able to start it few days later. He removed more tiles than he need to ensure to find another possible spot and he repaired it. I was satisfied his work and he and his team were fantastic.

My tile roof is 12 years old and I can see broken tiles. Before our winter rains, I wanted to have the roof "serviced." Frank's reviews were outstanding and I left my contact info on Angies List. Our experience with our roof replacement from Horizon Roofing has been a nightmare for us. Frank, the owner, gained our trust initially, but now we regret hiring him. It took Frank over 90 days from the time he completed our roof to provide us all the necessary lien releases for the job, including a 50% progress payment we had voluntarily made, and to finally show up for a scheduled appointment to address workmanship issues. During this period, we still owed Frank for the remaining 50% of the contract, and there were times when we wondered if something happened to Frank, and he was unable to conduct business, or if he thought it was a hassle to provide the lien releases and address the workmanship issues and decided to walk away and leave the contract hanging. Frank was finally able to show up at our house to address the workmanship issues, but he refused to take responsibility for anything and everything and addressed each issue by unleashing a series of insults directed towards me and about our house. His language and behavior were concerning, and my wife is not comfortable having Frank at the house. Frank also told us that he is refusing to provide the lien releases because he is mad. Frank has now become a nightmare for us because we were not going to make another payment without the lien releases he refused to provide. Three days later Frank sends a lien release that was worth something, but it wasn’t what we agreed to, and the amount was wrong. Four days after that he sent us a notice stating he had filed a mechanics lien on our house. An attorney told us Frank had filed an invalid lien, and he needs to remove it. Frank’s behavior and business conduct scare us, so we decided to pay him the balance and file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board over his workmanship issues. We had the roof replaced on our last house by a different roofer, and we had zero problems or additional expenses to correct problems. We wish we had hired a different roofer for this roof.Update: The Contractors State License Board enforced an arbitration order for Horizon Roofing to pay us an amount that exceeded the total contract amount to correct issues with their work that they refused to correct. The Contractors State License Board provided us with an industry expert to inspect and report on Horizon’s work as well as an arbitrator to conduct a hearing on the matter. Horizon Roofing filed an Application to Correct the Arbitration Award, which was denied. Horizon Roofing did not pay the award in the time frame stated in the arbitration award, so the Contractors State License Board sent them a notice stating their license will be automatically suspended if they do not pay within 30 days and automatically revoked if not paid within 90 days after suspension. Horizon Roofing attempted to get a payment extension from the CSLB because several hours had passed without us responding to their phone calls. Horizon did not receive an extension. They ended up mailing us the payment before reaching their automatic license suspension date. I would not wish this experience on an enemy.Service: Roof installation

We had Francisco come out and provide a bid. He came same day and explained very precisely what the issues were and how they would be fixed. After excepting the quote Francisco came within a couple of days and fixed our leak. He also checked all of our pipes and resealed around them along with spray painting them. He did this a complimentary service. His professionalism and knowledge of his profession were very impressive. Highly recommend his company!!

Horizon Roofing did the job exactly as agreed for the price quoted and they don’t send out a salesman to look at the work you want done.Frank, the licensed Roofing contractor who works on the job with his helpers comes to the job-site and writes a proposal based on what you tell him you want done.They arrive on time, get the work done as specified and leave the job-site cleaner than it was before they started.I have worked in the building trades 54 years and was impressed with their efficiency.

After more than 15 phone calls text messages and emails, was told that someone made a mistake & didn't put me in the schedule & that they are busy and don't know when they can come for repairs.

Horizon Roofing came out to give me an estimate on a roof leak we had following the last rain storm. Francisco (Frank) came out to meet me the same day to go over the problem. Great guy and we scheduled the repair for two days later. They arrived ON TIME and ready to go! Horizon not only fixed the leak, but went around the entire roof area and were able to repair or replace broken cement shake tiles that we have on our roof. They also repaired some flashing around our chimney and sealed some pipes that were on the roof as well. We were VERY PLEASED with their work and will be calling on them for any future roofing needs! My detached garage needed roof repair. 20 feet x 26 feet. Replacement (asphalt composite) on the the side facing south. The facia boards had some dry rot and termite issues as well. I was referred to Horizon through a friend who had some work done on his roof. I called and Fransisco came over to inspect and review the job. He took the time to look at everything, then wrote up an estimate while at my house. (VERY REASONABLE AND FAIR) Francisco called me as he had a cancellation so he could move up the repair date. His crew prepped the area with plastic to keep everything clean during the replacement. They were very professional and conscientious of what was needed and how to get the job done right. The roof was repaired (just in time for a rain) and looks great. The facia boards just need some painting. (my project). They cleaned up EVERYTHING.
