The staff is very professional and responds quickly. We rented from California West for several years. Unfortunately not all property management companies in the Five Cities are honest like California West. I recommend looking there before going to other companies.

They are now charging to pay rent online. They don't accept the rent check in the office and it has to be mailed to the San Luis Obispo office.Rent is high enough, let alone charging to pay online. The Arroyo Grande office should accept the rent and do the job 😔

Don't waste your time with this company, especially if you are looking for a company to manage your rental property. Zero common sense and they never got back to be until I called several times.I was trying to rent a house on the coast for my elderly father who has had a stroke but is still able to live by himself. I sent over 4 pages of tax returns that showed my gross profit from my company to be over $1.5 Million and my reported income to be over $800K....They respond back that they need to see my dads tax returns...The rental is 2 bedroom mind you and I could have just said it was just for me.......who TF has hit you up for a rental today that has a 800 credit score, has close to 7 figures in their personal acct and owns several business that have well over 7 figures? I could finances any house you have for sale. Im just trying to rent something for my dad. ALL OF YOUR POLICY AND PROCEDURES ARE ONLY THERE TO WAIVE YOU AND THE CLIENT YOU REPRESENT OF THE LIABILTY OF RENTING TO A BAD TENNANT! USE YOUR BRAINS!!! I will go out of my way to not deal with your company now!

The other worst realtor company in this entire area. I'm pretty sure they're ran by an LLC which is not in realtor company you can't even find them on the Business bureau as a business. Somebody should put a stop to them. They should not be in business they do not maintain their properties. The demand a fee before you even see a property just to look at the property. None of the properties are maintained and if you do complain about anything they won't fix it but they'll charge you for it when it's time for you to move. Their properties are properties they illegally took from other people. Because they are an LLC. Any good review they have is fake and it's because they posted it. Horrible business practices

This Review is long overdue but Thinking back, I was treated very unfairly a couple of years ago by this rental management company. I applied for a home in Grover Beach in which I met all the income and credit requirements for and attended a open house before submitting application. They ran my credit, took my money, and never followed up with me up until about 2 weeks after when I called them to check the status. They told me that the owner had not approved me for the rental. I asked why and the lady on the phone did not have an answer for me and said she didn’t know exactly why but she will find out and get back to me the following day. She never called back so I called again and didn’t even care about the rental property anymore, but I asked if she could please email me my credit report. She never followed up with that either. 2 years later, I hear from a former employee that I was denied because of my age. Pretty sure that’s illegal, and I haven’t had any similar issues like that with other management company in the area. So with that being said, I do not recommend this company as they lack professionalism and integrity in the line of work that they do. You are better off looking elsewhere if good customer service and honesty is what you seek in a reliable and trustworthy management company. Very very disappointed to have someone like this in our area, there is a reason they are at the bottom of the pecking order in SLO County in their line of work.

I have been helped by Liliana and I am currently still applying to find my dream studio but I got to appreciate that she has helped me every step of the way to make sure I finish the application process properly.

They are slow to get back to you, and are difficult with reasonable housing. They are greedy. Don't waste your money on applications with them. No follow-ups!

They're probably one of the worst property management companies I've ever had contact with. I left multiple voicemails and sent multiple messages on Craigslist interested in a place in Nipomo. Weeks later, I got a call that it wasn't ready to show, but they'll call me when it was. I kept on eye on their showings list just in case. I never got a call back to schedule a viewing, it never showed up on their showing list, and it is no longer available. Also, the timings for their showings are absolutely ridiculous. Open house is only open for 30 minutes, only on weekdays, and in the morning.

Staff were not good at communicating, also they close down there entire office for lunch and if you arive at 12:01 you are out of luck and will not be helped. If your in stuck with this real-estate company than good luck and may god have mercy on you.

Anthony has been the most amazing person and helped us get the perfect place for us and our ESA doggie. He is extremely professional and super nice, I would definitely recommend him to anyone that’s looking for a new place. We worked with several Property Management Places and CA West was by far the best one. Thank you Anthony for all your hard work! We are so excited for our new place!

Rented from them for a few years and the staff was always so rude. They were so unprofessional and unorganized. I kid you not, I was in the office one day and the manager's ringtone went off and it was that rap/pop song about shorty get low, low and boots with the fur! Cringe.

California West in Arroyo Grande doesn’t care about their tenants. During this Covid-19 quarantine, California West raised my rent, charge me a late fee and won’t stop harassing me over the phone for the rent. I don’t know what to do. I may become another homeless by May 1st

They are scammers, the houses don't even have them, they just take your money from the application. They are a scam.
