This is a review and suggestion to upper management to recognize and reward employees who demonstrate exemplary customer service , knowledge and a positive friendly demeanor at all times as representatives of Home Depot.Specifically Diane and Sydney! I frequent the store almost daily and I am always greeted by them with a smile and when on occasion I do need assistance they are on point. They have both been there I don't know how many years but long enough to get the "repetition burnout" I think everyone experiences at some point in their career,however I have never experienced that demeanor with them! Many of your long term employees exhibit the same character and should be recognized as well. As a former employee myself ( many years ago and far from Atascadero) I am impressed by their ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service. Very unpleased with this location. Always a lack of help in the paint department, employees are “too busy” to help customers then they give attitude. Lack of management throughout the store. Self check cashiers are always standing around on their phones. Avoid this location and go to Lowe’s. You’ll be happy you did.

Today 3/8/24 we are bought a Lock for door it’s was broken at 5pm .Manager give Discount 10$ we are returning because it’s broken.I ask him we return can we use buying this different Lock for door he is say no but give 10 off taking back. He is awful manager.I spending for this store Thousand dollars.He told me helping all the time it’s lies.He is name Ryan make me very upset.I wish he’s never a manager see all the time never helping a customers.

Yes, this is the second time that I’ve been into the store and all I have gotten is rude, obnoxious unhelpful people. my wallet get stolen so my hands were tied as far as having physical copies of my credit cards or debit cards, drivers license, etc. and I needed a tool for work the next day for a 6 am job. so I went online and ordered the part and went into the store. This was 9 o’clock at night. The store was empty. There was no lines. I went to the The customer support desk and the two gentlemen, I shouldn’t give them that respect the two boys laughed at me and basically said they wouldn’t help me. I called corporate I went and picked up my own products because I already bought them. I already own them, and proceeded to talk to the manager, the manager took care of me swiftly and did a great job. If I could give him five stars, I would. the two gentlemen behind the customer support desk at 9 o’clock at night on. August 1, 2023 I would’ve fired on the spot. the type of attitude that was shown by them tonight will take them nowhere in life . Give up,laziness ,poor effort ,bad attributes for the Home Depot brand I don’t know what happened with customer support but it seems that gone down hill lately in all Home Depot’s. I’ll tell you what the manager represented the Home Depot brand very well tonight the two employees that I ask for help did not. They acted like little kindergartners who don’t know how to solve problems. I will not be back to this store to try and be helped by kindergartners.

Prices significantly different at cash register that posted. Cashier said sorry you need to go to "Customer Service." Waited at customer service for over 10 minutes before any one cared to help me. They asked where I got them in the store, and then told me sorry they are not marked down. They never checked their signs and did not seem to care. Had them refund my whole purchase and left the store for the LAST time. I will drive to Lowe's or go to Miners (they are not usually any more expensive anyhow. One star was being generous.

Great prices as usual for a brick and mortar store. However customer service is lacking. Several times have looked up online whether they had a product in stock to find out once I get there that it's not to be found. Usually takes a while to find anyone willing to cut lumber. Nice to be able to go to the Starbucks drive thru nearby though.

Most of the employees are pretty clueless but they will help you if you ask and typically go the extra mile to make sure you find what you need. Ive been here so many times and almost all home depots have the same(ish) floor plans and products so its not difficult to navigate on your own unassisted. Compared to other areas, this store is relatively clean and well kept, items sre generally stocked on the shelves and aisles aren't blocked off for forklifts or maintenance and the check out lines are rarely long if any wait. If I know where something I need is already, I can be in and out of this store in 5-10 minutes, item in hand.

Good selection, great parking. Some friendly staff members. The holiday section doesn't really interfere with the tool sections at the store. I was surprised to be helped by a young lady. She was friendly. And another young man walked by me and said hello. I was not expecting that at a home Depot, but I said hi back.

Customer service desk team has little to no training on customer service, especially training related to courteously answering and holding phone calls. I was on hold for 7 minutes, then someone answered but didn’t realize that I was on the phone. I said hello several times trying to reach one of the employees that I could overhear laughing and chatting, only to be hung up on after a few moments. After calling again, I was greeted with a “Home Depot Atascadero please hold” and then I quickly explained that I had already been on hold but got hung up on. After a few moments of silence, the associate said nothing and placed me on hold again anyways.

Good HD and they are currently building a rental center which is much needed. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and rarely runs out of what you need. I do feel the quality of the cheaper lumber has gone down but the prices have not gone down to match. Nice to have it close by.

I shop the electrical department here quite a bit and they have a pretty good selection of fittings and little widgets compared to Lowes or OSH. Not quite a supply house but has just about everything you need up to 1 inch. 1-1/4 and above it’s hit and miss (except conduit, plenty of big sizes there) but they might just have it. I’ve noticed that the website stock is pretty accurate but you may need to dig behind the front boxes to find what you’re looking for. Paint department is great, they move fast and know their stuff. Staff are friendly and helpful and they love my dog. Because she is awesome.

I always have fun @ HD. Wednesday I needed hanging wire for a picture frame and although I found it on the website, the app was even more helpful, it told me the exact aisle and position of the wire.

Even with this Home Depot being in a small town, I rarely cant find what I need. But more importantly (at least to me) is that the associates are super friendly and helpful. Multiple times they were able to help me find hard to find items. They also were very knowledgeable about items when I was not sure of what brand to buy.

Their staff is inattentive & not knowledgeable and that's important to a woman like me who doesn't know a lot about hardware, tools, etc. Inventory is poor & I often don't find what I'm looking for. Go to Lowe's, it's worth the few minutes extra drive.

Great place to get all the materials for that project. Bring a compass, water bottle, and a map, the dept. sales associates will duck out and hide and will avoid your questions. Home Depot does offer a substantial Military Discount for all those brave souls out there with a DD214.

Pretty good prices, typically. It is a bit messy at times. Line moves pretty fast if you pay by credit card. Hard to get a hold of someone for help when it's busy. The carpet and tile people especially. Best to make an appointment.

Some of the people that work there shouldn't be. They probably never had lessons on how to interact with customers. Home Depot should have classes on professionalism and manners. Once again not all employees are guilty of this.

They have a lot of stuff and most of the staff are helpful. But, I feel like when you're carrying a huge piece of plywood and other lumber maybe that would be the time to ask if you need help, rather then when you walk in the door being greeted by 3 people. But maybe that's just my outlook on it.

I enjoy shopping at our Atascadero Home Depot. It is well stocked with diverse home project needs. They have your typical home project products: paint, lumber etc. BUT! they also have a great supply of Cleaning Products and fun Seasonal Holiday Decor for inside and outside your home! Also, love their paint department. I brought in a nickle sized 10 year old paint chip from one of my walls, and to my delight the employee went out of his way to match the color perfectly! The employees are super knowledgeable and helpful, they all know where everything is located and always drop what they are doing to guide you to the product you are looking for. Garden shop has a great variety of healthy plants, and they have a great return policy on plants! I must say, I do miss the Hot-Dog stand outside, they were really good and seemed to go perfect with my purchases of paint and lumber!
