I should have written this review earlier, but perhaps with the passage of time I can even provide a better review and positive testimonial to Art Melick and his installation of our flat roof!I was referred to Art as the best in the business and had him replace an aging flat roof that was part of an addition tied into our existing asphalt roof. We were very concerned about the potential for “leaks” due to the remodel; Art did a terrific job!He stands by his workmanship and that is a rarity these days! I cannot praise and recommend him enough! So many rainy seasons have passed and the roof remains solid and perfect! This company reroofed our flat roof. We are very happy with the results. They showed up everyday and worked hard all day. Even through this heat they always showed up. Melick roofing did a great job. Judy in the office is awesome, she always retuned my calls and texts. I was going to do the roof myself and couldn't get anywhere with the state inspection office. Judy was able to work miracles. The installation crew was clean, efficient and answered all my concerns. They even covered my roof when there was a slight chance of rain. It was 7 years ago this summer I first heard of Art Melick Roofing--this is when my company Absolute Realty listed their first mobile home. The home needed repairs on the roof and the seller told me there's only 1 real mobile home/flat roof specialist in our area--Art Melick Roofing. Well since then I've sold nearly 100 mobile homes and have had several occasions where roof repair/replacement was necessary and I always recommended Art Melick Roofing because they have outstanding workmanship and great prices! A few of the other "flat roof specialists" in our area did not stand the test of time in keeping their word or standing behind the quality of their work--and were almost always higher in price!So when it was finally time for ME to get a new roof on MY mobile home--there's was only one I TRUSTED. From the beginning of the process to the end, even during this COVID-challenged working environment and permit process, ART MELICK and his team were exceptional. Judy manages the process and keeps all the balls in the air and is a pleasure to speak and work with. The first recommendation Art made was exactly what I would have done and I knew I had found an experienced professional that would do the job right. We needed a new roof after 20 some years of raising Children and all of the details dealing with my Wife's work and My work plus Coaching Sports and other activity's but couldn't afford to have it done again, after replacing it after we first bought our Home in 1985.When we found "Flat Roof Specialist" and meeting the owner Art Melick I took him on a tour and we discussed besides the roof, other problems with structures pertaining to but not directly involved too the job of roofing so I thought. Mr. Melick was direct in his bid, (in writing via E-mail) I accepted his Bid because it was a fair offer as Contractors bids go. And did we ever get the most pleasant surprise of our middle-aged lives. Not only did his Crew arrive on time every day tearing off the old material, but as per his bid, replaced our semi-flat roof with a High Tech PVC based material, Replaced Exposed Beams that were dry rotted plus any tongue and grooved over-hanging that too were dry rotten as well. Plus New rain-gutters and Leaf Guards too. In other words in half the time I figured it would take to do the work done. Between his guidance and his crew's ability, the roof and newly rebuilt, areas were replaced and tricked out and completed within a week. I would and have recommended his Company to people whom I knew needed a Professional built roof as well and on lookers who asked for his information who needed work done as well. So Yes we would gladly do it all over again, but Thank God our roof will last longer than I myself have years left on this planet.

Art gave us an estimate and when we decided to go with him to install our roof, the actual cost came very close. We had the 60 mil white PVC membrane installed and also had a couple areas of dry rot that were repaired. The main difference was that we decided to add a solar tube and different fascia. Speaking of the fascia, I was hesitant at first to get the 2 x 8 as Art suggested, because it was more expensive. He assured me I didn’t need it but that it would offer more support as well as look better. I’m glad I listened to him. That seemingly small touch really makes the roofline look super. Art’s crew worked hard and answered any questions we had. His wife, Judy, was very attentive/available via email and also answered all my questions and kept me updated as the install date approached. This was the biggest home improvement project my husband and I ever completed, so we were kind of nervous. We are both relieved and happy that the roof is done and have even noticed the house stays cooler. Several neighbors have asked us about our roof and we happily recommended Flat Roof Specialists.

Art, Judy, and their team were fabulous. I had talked with other roofers who kept flaking on me and then Art was recommended to me. He showed up on the days he said he would, gave me a very reasonable (and accurate) estimate of the costs, and came and got the job done. I was on a time crunch for an appraisal and he and his team made it happen. My roof was in very bad shape underneath the shingles and he repaired/replaced everything to perfection. I've even had a few people tell me how wonderful my roof looks (who knew people would even notice that?). I HIGHLY recommend Art and his team, they're fabulous.

We felt the price was fair, i.e., competitive. Ours was a cut up roof with many electrical penetrations, skylights, etc. We used single ply IB roofing, heat welded at the seems. Art's instructions and his happy crew's competency and attention to detail and craftsmenship was higher than I expected. No one was trying to cut corners or finish in a hurry. I think they really, really want a happy customer with a good product and good job. That's me: Happy Customer!

The roof was installed about 5yrs ago that has a warranty for 10yrs plus, the guys missed the rafters and nailed it into the plywood only, I called the owner but he said he would come look at it but never got anyone to come out, they don’t stand behind there work…Service: Roof installation
