On Feb 4, 2024 we had a vicious storm. Winds were said to have gusts up to 70MPH. We live next to a city park with 6 85' Pine trees 2' from our property line. Well, at 11AM the top 1/3 of one of those trees came crashing down onto the roof putting 2 holes in the metal roof and one end came thru the ceiling of the entry way. The Milpitas Fire Dept came out and sealed the holes the best they could and put a tarp up. I called Tom at Cal-Pac and he sent Brian out to do a temporary fix. The fix worked....no leeks. It took a while to get into the que for the permanent repair but once that time came Brian and crew came out, spent 3 days on the repair. I'm happy to say that the job was complete on Monday the 11th. I can't say enough about the team, their knowledge and hard work. And, btw, had it not been a metal roof that tree would have been in my living room I'm sure along with a red tag which means not habitable.

I am very happy with Brian's work. I hear Brain has 20 to 30 years of experience. Several people approached me with quotes on Decra tile repairs before I hired Cal-Pac Roofing. They either don't know how to fix it or suggest I switch to a shingle roof for more money. So I waited for a new decra tile order and it was worth the wait. The replacement worked perfectly. Basically, there is no need to worry about the replacement work of roof tiles. I highly recommend Cal-Pac Roofing.

We had a wooden shake roof that needed to be replaced. After studying various roofing materials like asphalt, Davinci Rubber and stone coated metal, we went with the last choice. Stone coated metal offers a good look, proven reliability, longevity and fire proof. There are not alot of stone coated metal roof installers here in the south bay, and we compared most of them. Cal-Pac offered a good deal plus their history/experience was enough for us to choose them. Tom, the owner, was friendly, honest and informative. His crew of 3 did a great job. It took about 6 days and they did a good clean up job also. His employees were friendly and respectful.The final look is outstanding, almost like a new home.

I can't say enough about this company. Some years ago we had a total roof replacement that we were very happy with. The team from Cal Pac Roofing was so great to work with. But recently, due to our "atmospheric rivers" of rain that we have been experiencing, we found some issues with the roof that were causing some leaks. So stressful. Tom and his team were there to help, fixed the problem and again, were so professional and caring. It was a real pleasure working with Tom and his crew. Tom was with us from the beginning of the project to the end always quick to answer calls or e-mails and answer any questions we had. The crew worked well in taking off and putting on the new roof. There was no mess to clean up afterwards and they worked quickly and efficiently. A year after the roof had been installed and there was a rat in the attic (which is very common in this area), Tom sent out two of his crew to first set traps and then put up screening where it was necessary. He did this at no additional cost to us. I have recommended the metal roof to many of my friends and only Cal-Pac because of their friendliness, efficiency and good work!

Many thanks to Tom and his crew for doing such a great job on our roof, completed between rain showers! We contacted Calpac and a few other roofers when we had a leak and Tom’s bid was extremely reasonable, especially given the metal roof has a life expectancy of 50 years. Sal was able to patch our leak until they had a window to do a full tear off and re-roof. Tom dropped off a sample of the Boral steel material for us to see before we finalized our choice to make sure it matched well with the house. The final product looks beautiful- lots of interesting texture and matches perfectly. You would never know from the outside that it is metal. Sal and his team were hard working, careful, courteous, and meticulous. They were able to coordinate bracket installation with my solar installer, and made sure to remount our antenna. We now have improved air flow in the attic, and a significantly lower home insurance premium due to the fire-resistance and Class 4 hail impact resistance. We couldn’t be happier.

Tom and his team came out and did an awesome job with my bungalow in downtown San Jose. I don't give many reviews but just can't say enough about how professional his team was, and got the job done within budget. Out of several companies that bid on repairing my roof leak, Brian Korens of Cal-Pac Roofing was the only one who had a clue. All of the other estimators were like, "well, we can't tell exactly what the problem is, but we'll do ___ and see if that fixes it." Brian was like, "oh, yeah, I've seen this a few times before, here's what's going on." Cal-Pac's bid was much higher than the other companies, but I thought it was worth it to get someone who knew what they were doing — and I wasn't disappointed.To be clear, Cal-Pac didn't show up with the impressive company-liveried truck or the uniformed workers or the fancy glossy brochures. It's clearly a smaller operation — and we all know, those can only stay in business by being really good. Brian and his helper worked on my house for eight full days, fixing the leak, replacing the gutters, replacing some rotted beams, and fixing up all of the other problems that I hadn't even noticed yet.
