SCCCI Construction can not be trusted.Details below but specifics aside, it comes down to this…. At a project cost of 60k, SCCCI would not own up to their obvious mistakes and rectify them. The fact they would ruin a relationship for under $1000 is ridiculous and very bad for business. Regardless of a projects costs, quality, responsibility and fair customer service should not be asked but required.I hired SCCCI to do a 60k exterior remodel. They are refusing to pay $450 for the over spray paint damage to my truck.I have grown extremely frustrated with SCCCI Construction. I hired this company to do a complete siding replacement, cool life paint and windows. Though initially the relationship started out fine at the end of the project some issues arose that has dissolved my trust in this company.During either the demo or the installation of the siding a bathroom window was broken and the framing around the window was pushed into the bathroom interior several inches. Due to the placement of these windows, behind my shower curtain, I did not immediately notice the damage. When I brought this to the attention of SCCCI they agreed to repair the interior framing (picts) but would not replace the window without a $300 labor charge. Since I was not the one to break the window, I did not feel like I was responsible for any charges. The repair work on the frames seemed rushed to say the least and my window was not replaced. Moving on.At one point during paint inspection when I pointed out what seemed to obviously need another coat I was told “it was an aesthetic decision” on my part. I am sorry, but it either needs another coat or it doesn’t, maybe I am nitpicking. The worst grievance occurred when some how, paint over spray ended up on my truck and roof rack. I pointed this out to the painter and he and I tried to get as much as we could off the truck. I also showed pictures to the management and was told to “take it to a detailer and send them the bill”. In hindsight, I should have done this but I took it upon myself to try to get the paint off. When I could not get it all off, I informed SCCCI, who were initially very understanding. However, when it came to actually rectifying their mistake SCCCI fell well short. I was initially offered $200 and SCCCI requested I get three independent quotes from detailers for the over spray removal. I went around town and found three quotes which ranged from $650 to $450. SCCCI finally agreed on the $450 quote but with the stipulation that I “never bring this up in the future.” That seemed odd to me. I am not usually signing off on jobs before they even begin. I agreed to never bring the issue up again if they would cut the check on a certain Friday. NO check. After several unanswered emails asking if the check was sent I reached out to the owner. After much back and forth and me describing how this would not look good for the company I learned that the check was never sent. On top of that I learned that The SCCCI team considered paying for the detailing of my truck as “good customer service” and never accepted responsibility for painting my truck. Either, the painter and I imagined it, Mike forgot the picts I showed him and the other foreman, and all these picts (attached) are fake or the damage was done. The bottom line is, they painted my truck and now are not accepting responsibility and do not intend on paying for the damage. It’s is a shame. I genuinely liked the crew. However, the way management handled problems such as my bathroom window and truck overspray issue among other things, was just plain wrong.SCCCI is very attentive when they are waiting on checks. Not so much when they have to move onto another job. In addition, I had to repeatedly ask for and wait many months to receive my warranty information. I never even saw the original people I met with again, not even to do a final walk through. I can not recommend SCCCI. BUYER BEWARE.

Communication was great at the beginning, before we paid. Once the job started, it took forever to complete. Redid our front yard and within days, the irrigation for the plants rose up and stuck out, half my plants died due to poor landscaping and our decomposed granite which was poured was too little and poorly done as well. Took them months to finish our porch tiles and electrical work. Such a shame since they were so friendly but now I know that it was just a ploy to get us to sign a contract. Will never use them or refer. Heard that they’re now operating under Eclipse Construction Inc. Stay far away.

After months of searching for a company to repair and remodel my bathrooms due to water damage, I noticed a guy wearing an SCCCI shirt at my local exhaust shop. so I asked him if they do bathroom remodels. He got me in contact with Mike, the main boss. I spoke with Mike briefly and he was at my house the same day to provide a detailed walk through and estimate. Talk about a rapid response time. He went the extra mile to correspond with my home owners insurance adjuster to expedite the funding process. He assigned my project to Roee and his brother Omer. They were honestly the glue that kept the project together when things didn’t go according to plan or when there were miscommunications. They were awesome to say the least. At the end of the day Mike at SCCCI is trustworthy, respectful, prompt, and dependable through and through and he addressed all my concerns. That statement is even more amplified when he ultimately decided to absorb certain costs that would otherwise be applicable per our contractual agreement. Customer service is everything and SCCCi gets it. As of 11/22/22, CA State Contractor's license: SUSPENDED. That should tell you all you need to know.I contracted these "characters" to do a remodel and addition to my home. 14 months into the contract, they had $21,000 of my money and had not done a single piece of work, including any plans. They lied to me that they had already filed a permit application for construction on my property--Mind you, this is without me every seeing any plans. 8+ months of stringing me along and I doscovered that no permits were ever applied for. When confronted wiht this, they lied again. When asked to produce the plans, they could not. They admitted to spending my money on other projects (illegal). As of this date, I did manage to get 3/4 of my money back, that is until their license was suspended and they just stopped returing my phone calls. I'll let you figure out the work that best describes this kind of behavior.Buyer beware. By know I'm pretty sure they've closed up shop and will reopen under a different name and continue grifting the public.Service: Home addition construction

My experience with SCCCI was good from start to finish. The prep work they did was amazing, the two painters worked hard and timely in one of the hottest periods we've had this summer and everything that had to be protected was efficiently covered in plastic They even covered my neighbor's car as it was a little windy and they were worried that some paint may drift that way. They were polite and willing and kept in close contact if they were delayed, so that I knew when they would be coming.I needed a little wood replaced because of dry rot and the carpenters came when arranged and were also very efficient so they did not delay the painting in any way.If I had to call the office for any reason, the staff were polite and a joy to work with. So helpful. My house looks amazing, everything was left clean and tidy and I will happily refer this excellent company.

Mike came to our door as a lot of contractors do, cold calling and we liked him. We paid to have the flat roof redone, the HVAC extended into our kids room and a light/fan installed in their room as well. This was 4+ years ago and every time it rains the ducting leaks into the kids room and the edge of their ceiling appears water damaged as well. I recently learned that there is recourse and I can go to the Board of Contractors and make a formal complaint which I will be doing.Service: General construction

They were extremely flexible with my financial situation and wanted to do anything they could to help me afford it and to get it all done in one go. I had them fully restore the exterior of my house, give it a full coating of the CoolLife reflective coat, spray insulation in the attic and all the exterior walls, replace roof fascia, repair/stain the backdoor, replace our water heater door, replace our back gate, and repair all of the windows. They worked very quickly, efficiently, and left no detail unattended. They simply blew me away by meeting and exceeding my standards for quality. They even did a phenomenal job masking everything, including the cars in the driveway to ensure they don't get any paint on them from overspray. I am very satisfied with the work SCCCI did and am looking forward to using them for a future kitchen remodel and replacement of my back fence. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a solid contractor who will treat you like family and make sure you're taken care of. If anything isn't up to your liking, they will immediately handle the situation for you... even if its a quality issue down the road, for peace of mind... although it doesn't look like I'll need to take them up on that, since they did the job perfect the first time!

We highly recommend Southern California Construction Consultants, Inc, (SCCCI) for work needed around your home. We discussed our vision and SCCCI made it a reality. The front of our home had 50 year old river rock and old wood siding which they removed. They insulated walls, added new vinyl windows, and beautiful African mahogany front doors. They even built out my bay window. The entire exterior of our home was painted with new stucco. Our home was transformed to the modern day.The best part of the process was how the workers felt like family. SCCCI has many resources, and they all performed to the same standard. I was informed what to expect each day, the communication was wonderful. Each day our home was cleaned, it never looked like a job site when they left for the day. From the moment we met the owner Larry, to the day of completion, we never regretted our decision to use SCCCI. We received a good value for the money we spent.Thank you to the entire SCCCI family, we enjoyed the experience!

We recently hired SCCCI for a project to have our flat roof redone and add ventilation and electrical work on our nursery room. From the start, we found the owner, Mike Litberg to be very personable, knowledgeable and competitive in his pricing. I have to say, we've been completely thrilled with the results of working with SCCCI on our home. They did an excellent job and even went above and beyond on other projects that arose at no additional charge. Their communication throughout the project was top notch and we felt very comfortable with them during the whole experience. Not only would I hire SCCCI again, but I would also strongly recommend them to anyone.

I was very happy to have hired SCCI to paint the exterior of our home. I met with Dann to choose colors/finishes and it was very apparent he knows the business well. He made suggestions that I would have not of thought of otherwise and I was very happy with the way everything turned out. The crew was timely and professional, and carefully cleaned each day of the project. No touch-ups were needed and people who come over always compliment the colors and clean lines. Thank you for a great job and experience! I highly recommend them and i will be using them again when i paint the interior of my house.Delete review

Windows and Sliding door installation for our master bedroom was not the best quality work and was too expensive. I wanted the work done in our bedroom before my husband returned from a long trip. Now that I am seeking bids to finish the windows on the rest of the house, I realize what they did in the back window was a replacement or retrofit window. It does not look good to have the old exterior window frames sticking out from the new windows in the back yard. The aesthetic appeal of my Eichler home was not served. They also were significantly more expensive than the bids I have received for similar quality (Anlin) new construction (nail fin) windows...hmmm.... I used SCCI because they completed a small job for us (replaced some facia board on the house) the previous year, and that work went very well. It was a big mistake to trust them on this project. Both recent contractors thought they were going to be more costly than SCCI because of the cost involved in permits and replacing the stucco. The bids came in much less expensive. Did I say much? Yes, by thousands. Larry talked me out of French doors (to try and bring the price down), but the slider opening is too small. Please shop around. I knew I paid too much, but I thought I was getting great quality. I was wrong.

We have used SCCCI many times over the years, from replacing windows and doors, to bathroom remodel to pouring sidewalk and driveway, and our wonderful pergolas and Trex patios. Working with Jesus, Jorge, Arturo, and Serene was delightful! Given the quality work, they are very reasonable. We will keep using them in years to come!

I had windows installed and couldn't be happier. They have v-etching and are so pretty I hate to cover them with window treatments. I haven't had them long enough to comment on the insulation properties, but they were installed on a hot day while the sun was beating directly against the windows and they were cool to the touch inside. The installation team was right on time and very professional. Ed and Larry were great to work with and they bent over backwards to make me happy. I have 3 more windows to install and SCCCI will definitely be installing them.

This contractor pays attention to the little things, especially doing prep for painting, and honors the estimates he gives. During power washing prior to painting our home, it was discovered that one entire wall needed to be re-floated due to flaws in the original stucco work. This work was done without an increase in the original estimated price for the job. The final result was (and still is) a beautiful home painted with the Cool Wall system. My neighbor has been a house painter for most of his adult life and commented that the prep work was well done since a few years later, there are no cracks or flaws. This work cost a little more that other estimates we received, but the high quality of the work and the integrity of the contractor were well worth the price.

After 6 months of this company (uncle James) Nephew James, and the owners son Mike hounding us to work with them, we entered into a project with them. Signed a contract handed them 2 different deposits and now a month later was told that they will not make enough money on the job so they are withdrawing from the contract. I have requested a refund for 2 days now and still nothing. They must be hard up on money and maybe are using it for cash flow. However, so shady that they have you sign a contract that they didn't honor themselves! I ahve contacted my attorney and will be filing suit for interest and a refund tomorrow if no refund. STAY CLEAR!! Oh beside all this if it wasn't enough, they dont even handle the work they sub everything out. Pool Remodel -Shady Company

From the beginning working with sccci has been pleasant and professional. Even the man who came to the door to discuss windows with us was amazing and informative. Larry and the office consultant has been in contact through email and phone and a pleasant to work with as we finish our window installation. The men who install the windows are amazing as well and are very cautious to clean up tools as I have 3 young children. I wouldn't want any other person to install my windows than the ones at Sccci. Best purchase for my home was these windows. Beautiful!

SCCCI did a great job for us. They were very diligent in their preparation phase, keeping us up to date as to what they were doing when. They worked with us on our schedule and proceeded when convenient for us. They staff were excellent, finding issues that we were not aware of and informing us immediately so we could repair items that required our immediate attention. Dann, especially, was great at keeping us informed of work, checking with us regarding the work completed and that work that needed to be done. They finished their work as promised and both my wife and I are very satisfied with the results. We would recommend this company and crew to anyone, family and friends.

I hired SCCCI in August-Sept 2015 for coolwall paint job for exterior/outside my home andthe lifetime warranty they promised in the contract.Once the job was done I wanted to verify the job with the coolwall company. The coolwall inspector came and recommended that they put 1 more coat on the stucco aswell as the trim as only one coat was used and it was not enough. Only then they can givethe lifetime warranty.I have booked appointment with them many times and they didnot show up for painting. I hadalready paid them fully for the job already. Finally they came and got the second coat ofpaint done in Feb of this year 2016.Since then I have reached out to them numerous times to get me the warranty they promised. Not only it is very hard for my to be able to get Larry or Cassandra or Mike on the phone.its almost impossible. I have been trying to call them without success many times. andfinally I am forced to get to Yelp and write a bad review. Since they are not good fortheir word.I will not recommend this company to anyone. Please avoid dealing with this company.

We just had all our upstairs windows replaced. The quality is amazing and it makes such a big difference. The company was professional and easy to work with. The installation went smooth and quick. All installers spoke English which made the experience a lot easier for us. They left the house in the same shape as they found it, clean and spotless. We will use this company again for the down stairs as well.

INTEGRITY....That is how I define this company. I have read some of the reviews and it is like they are describing another outfit entirely. Firstly every call and every email is promptly dealt with usually within minutes.Mike and Roee are as nice as nice can be. They are knowledgeable about the work and they give you a reasonable estimate and they stand behind it. Their contract says what they are to do and what they are not doing, so it is clear. It also says "no add ons," which means that if the job requires unanticipated work hours or upgraded or additional materials, they do not charge you extra.I had a foundation sag that had to be raised and reinforced. I had a specialist do that work. After the lift, the abrupt lift cracked a part of a granite counter top, a lazy Susan and skewed 18 interior door frames.I hired SCCI to replace the interior door frames, removed 2 windows and a door and replace it with a 8x16 foot sliding glass door, remove the marble flooring, replace the baseboards and door moldings, re-frame the kitchen island, and create a custom cabinet to match the other stained cabinets in the kitchen to replace the cracked lazy Susan. When we had our own engineer draw up plans for the sliding glass door installation (because it changed the bearing wall), the engineer wanted certain things unanticipated and ultimately much more expensive. SCCCI absorbed the extra cost and never asked for a dime more. I have worked with contractors in the past, but if something like this were to happen, my past contractors would want more money and I would understand. But SCCCI stands behind their original quote.Oh and yes, by the way the work is perfect.

We purchased Anlin windows for our home from SCCC in October 2012 and experienced a discrepency with the size of the front window that was ordered and installed. Apparently their was a mis-communication and an honest error had occured with the size that was ordered. However, even though this happened, SCCI was kind enough to replace the window with the actual size that we had originally expected. Although it did take about 2-3 extra weeks for new window to be ordered and installed, they did take the loss in order to keep the customer happy, which in my opionion says a lot about the company. They were courtious and took the time to call to make sure job was completed to our satisfaction. In my experience they handled the job professionaly and we are pleased with the outcome.

It's time to give Larry Litberg of SCCCI my review. I followed the long list of fake reviews and feel it's time to give mine. And now more than ever since he's committed to suing us in court for firing him after HE failed miserably on our project. We of course counter sued.We contracted SCCCI in Aug of 2015 (yes we are still in court) to replace all our woodwork, apply Coolwall Coating (which SCCCI is now no longer allowed to do after ruining the application on our home), install windows, and a few other items. They in my (and my attorney's) opinion committed fraud. They poorly installed B grade construction lumber and siding. It had major splits and gaps. They used many non galvanized (interior grade) finish nails. In areas the nails didn't even go into the framing to hold the siding on! Our replacement contractor was able to pull whole sheets of siding off with one hand! They destroyed the flashing on our upstairs dormers allowing rain to go right under the roof shingles. The cheap siding applied to the dormers was not even level! The fascia board was such poor quality it was splitting where at the nails attached it. They also used "close to the center" construction grade wood which began twisting and curling within weeks! They even attempted to install new larger attic vents (48" wide") without proper load bearing headers! So yes I was a victim of SCCCI and yes this actually happened. Why a person would want to rip off a complete stranger is beyond me. Larry you deserve everything the court and the CSLB is going to do to you (the state re-opened up or CSLB case btw).Note: being "bonded" just means they will pay a max of $15k If you sue them as well. Please do not post your usual canned response Larry. You're a crook who's time has come to be exposed.

We are not here to tell you not to hire this company. That choice is yours. However, before you do please please please do your research, take 24 hours to sleep on the information that has been given to you. Get multiple bids!!!!! Don't get talked into anything. Discuss it privately with whomever the job effects. If we had done that maybe I wouldn't be up in the middle of the night months after the completion of the job stressing about the right way to proceed so that others might be saved the financial turmoil we are now in. If the deal that is being offered is only offered if you say yes right then and there, I would think twice. It is very possible that our job was an isolated incident though I doubt it.We decided to get a bid for some work on our house. The salesman was the CEO of the company. He is a brilliant salesman and definitely knows how to get you to trust him and talk you into a job and get you excited about it. However, that changed the minute a problem arose. Which several did on day one. I will not bore you with all the problems but I will say this: any professional business person that promises something but doesn't deliver on multiple occasions has no right to be defensive and rude. Furthermore he has no right to curse in front of my children during a heated conversation pertaining to our job. Lastly he has no right to stand in my kitchen while I am crying and make more promises to me that he never intended to keep. To be fair Larry did apologize for cursing. We were also able to compromise enough on the issues to complete the job but not before we had to spend an additional $2,000.00. He will say this was an upgrade, it was not. We were told wrong information regarding paint finishes and had to figure out a way to fix that problem. The fix was us spending more money due to his mistake so that our house wouldn’t look bad.During the course of our job it seemed as though the owner was only concerned about the quality of work being done and nothing else as he asked us several times "but the work was good, right?"Some of the work was good as far as I can tell; it has only been a few months. The paint is supposed to last forever so we shall see. However, some work was subpar. Eaves were the painted wrong color and had to be changed. A light fixture in our backyard was broke when they removed our lighting. The workers filled our AC drain pipe with stucco which in turn froze our AC line (he did send out an AC person to look at it to ensure nothing was ruined). They had to come back to clean up overspray on our bricks. Plastic and tape was left on our neighbors RV and all over our awning. It goes on. Little things but things that drag down the quality of the craftsmanship nonetheless and things that would make me not hire them again had everything else been good. Attention to detail in this type of work is key. There is a ton of painting contractors so they have to be able to stand apart from the rest in a positive way for it to be worth your hard earned money.Last but not least if you choose to hire this company get everything in writing, record your conversations, communicate via email, and read every bit of every loan paper and contract presented before you sign it, it may save your family. We didn't take the time to read the fine print because we trusted that the owner knew our situation (as we made it abundantly clear where we stood at the initial meeting- his written notes reflect that) and would handle it the way he promised. That did not happen and we were and still are burned to the tune of $507.50 a month. The motto of this business is give them 1% of your trust and they will earn the other 99%. We trusted too much too soon and it bit us, so be careful. For us this ended up being a nightmare that still hasn't ended. It has caused stress in our family and precious time from our children to deal with it all, but mostly it has taken every spare penny that we have and then some to make payments we weren't supposed to have. I wish we would have never crossed paths with this company.

"Our paramount goal at SCCCI is Total Customer Satisfaction. What is 'Total Customer Satisfaction'? Whatever the customer says it is. Give us 1% of your trust, and we will earn the other 99%". This did not work out for me. Larry came up with an idea to make an automatic drain for my pool. He put it in and it does not work. He totally botched the job. He should not be doing jobs on pools because he does not know how they work. He doesn't even know what a pool skimmer is. He is more interested in getting his money then customer satisfaction.

I had such a great experience using SCCCI. Their salesman was thorough and detailed their staff was very friendly. Sometimes it's difficult to get someone on the phone and that was frustrating, but the work was top-notch the products that they used for the best and the financing options worked for our family.

Company does not stand behind their work. The company does not return phone calls. They have been giving us the run around for almost a year. I would not recommend SCCCI.12/9/17 - Almost 4 weeks ago Steve reached out to us and said that the company would make things right. I thought at the time that he only called because of the review we wrote, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He said that he would get back to us by the end of the week. It's been almost a month and has been our experience, there has been no phone calls or action taken.

We hired this company to do a bathroom remodel. To say the least I with that I could turn back time. My bathroom is unfinished and there are several problems even though we have paid in full. I was lied to, manipulated and my bathroom remodel that is supposed to be a dream is instead a nightmare! I get angry everyday that I use it and have to look at our hard earned money wasted on a horrible end product. I'll have to get over the anger part, the wasted money will always remain. Poor job SCCCI/Larry Litberg.
