When we initially decided to go Solar back in 2020, High Definition Solar was very receptive with competitive pricing. From the start to finalizing the interconnection with PG&E the process was smooth. They took care of everything including panel upgrade and city inspection. Because of the good service we received in 2020, we decided to expand our panels again in 2023 for going green and again High Def Solar helped us a lot in making that happen smoothly. I would highly recommend them for any Solar installation needs

We had 6 bids for a new roof after last years storms that were so out of reach it was a year before we could get satisfaction from our insurance company. And satisfaction we received. Luckily we found High Definition. The customer service is impeccable. They came in with a reasonable and thoughtful bid. And they worked out 0% financing for one year. They came quickly, handled the job competently, and came back quickly for the few touch ups I needed. The crew was extraordinary clean and the place look great at the end of this every day they worked. Now with these storms we are cozy and confident. It looks great! I look forward to working with them when I can move to solar!

Update: I'll never get the 10 months of back and forth hassle back. Or the last 9 years of lost solar production from the 2 panels that started failing 3 months after their initial install. They became more active once I started calling their CEO's number. They've since addressed the broken panels in a month.They installed solar panels on my house in 2015. 2 out of 12 panel lasted exactly 3 months and haven't subsequently produced anything in the last 9 years. They wanted me to pay full price to transfer ownership from the previous owner before looking at repairs. It took 10 months of nightmarish back and forth with them with zero progress made and hours and hours of time wasted on my part.There's no continuity and you can never talk to the same person. Each person attempts the exact same debugging step despite you filling in the context for them and telling them that their predecessor already tried the exact same things. The microinverter manufacturer seems to be more lenient with warranty and HD Solar just kept replacing the same brand new microinverters 3 times in a row because that's what their support flow diagram tells them to say. But the breakage is with the panels themselves. There's no way to make progress despite hours and hours spent acting as their unpaid secretary and getting their own employees to talk to each other.

I can’t say enough about the excellent service I received from Eliud at High Def Solar. Just purchased a home with existing Solar that was installed 10 yrs prior by High Definition Solar. I was notified by the tracking company that they had not received any data from the system since September. I called High Def Solar and Eliud their service tech came out and was able to diagnose the problem and explain what was needed to get the system communicating. I ordered the part and within a few days Eliud returned to complete the fix. Thank you High Definition Solar for responding so quickly to address the issue with my system and a huge thank you to Eliud for patiently explaining the system, the problem and the fix and then making sure everything was working properly. Thank you again for such fast, friendly and knowledgeable service.

This company is awesome! From start to finish, my project was handled by true professionals who are experts at their craft and everything was installed to the exact specifications. The project handlers, installers and associated staff were incredibly responsive and receptive to all my needs and requests. They worked with me throughout the entire process and gave me excellent advice. They even handled cleanup and painting when they installed the new electric panel and solar panels (all on the same day and in a few hours). The end result is beautiful and I’m very impressed. Very satisfied with the solar install process thus far. We got 3 quotes and chose HiDef Solar because they had very competitive pricing and the necessary experience to work with our more complicated roof design -- a combination of tile and foam. We had 25 panels installed. They really listen to customer requests and updated us frequently during the permit process. Special thanks to Cody and Mark H. who went above and beyond to make the install go smoothly. Martin M.,the salesperson was quite knowledgeable. We love the system design and electricity production thus far. All the installers were clean, polite, organized and efficient!Updating my review here. 6/18/2021. Originally we were very satisfied with the customer service, but in the past year, there seems to have been quite a bit of turnover in the installation and service personnel. We were promised installation of consumption monitors by the salesperson and have been told for almost a year now that someone would contact us to install. It should be an easy install, but follow-up has been very difficult. We have talked to various people at the firm, including the new head of customer service, and each time, we have to start over. Sorry to say, going to revise my original rating from 5-stars down to 2-stars until they become more organized and responsive to their customers.

Work was done professionally by their friendly installers. Cody was my project manager and he is very easy to work with and never did I have any issues. He was very accommodating. The inspection by the county inspectors was able to accommodate my schedule.I highly recommend High Definition for anybody wanting to install solar. High Definition solar price is hard to beat as I had two other quotes prior to selecting High Definition. Job well done!!!

This autumn I had 6 solar panels installed on my roof. High Definition Solar was very professional and honest throughout the whole process. Each person I dealt with was friendly, on-time, and knew their stuff. I do wish I had known before my in-home sales consultation that I would receive a discount for signing up that day. But I appreciated being able to take advantage of the discount. :-) The install process went smoothly. The company followed up with me to make sure I was getting full use of their charting software and to make sure I was 100% satisfied with my experience. Over and over again it was evident to me that this company places a high priority on customer satisfaction and honesty. I would happily use them again.

Hired High Definition to install a solar system. From the start to finish they were very professional. Salesmen gave us a timeline for completion he exceeded the date by two weeks. After 1 year of the solar system being installed. We reviewed our annual energy production on the enphase inverter company website. Our system produced much more then what we had been promised. This was a nice surprise and most certainly added to our experience. With our energy needs increasing in the future. We will hire high Definition Solar to install batteries and more solar.

I just got off the phone with April our High defination PG&E contact. She was super helpful, very polite and friendly. We are currently expanding the number of solar panel that we had High Defination solar install in 2015. We have been very satisfied with the panels and the employees.I had to ask April for help once again and she came through with flying colors. The credit union that we are getting our solar loan through just informed me that the installation contract I sent them did not have a signature from the solar company, and they require a contract signed by both parties. I explained the situation to April and she was able to expidite getting a signed copy of the contract and sent me an email with the signed contract in a pdf. To make sure I received the email she then phoned me, Having worked with the public my entire life I deeply appreciate the outstanding customer service April provides in such a friendly manner.

My husband and I were so pleased by the honesty, professionalism, and timely response of this family-owned company. They really practice true customer service: all of our interactions with their canvasser to their sales consultant, Luke, project manager, Dan, the installation crew, then their customer relationship consultant, Dave, were stellar. They explain everything, show graphs, & answer any questions, but never put pressure on a sale, just give the data. They also give several options for how many panels to use to optimize the solar energy intake but take into account the price of the total panels used, within our budget. Our installation was done in one day, and was inspected and connected to PG&E that same day. We have recommended this company already to friends and neighbors. The follow-up appointment with Dave on how to monitor our solar generation and our consumption was so helpful and pleasant. We are very happy.

The salesmen gave us a lot of information. He was very patient with us - Great follow up - we did not do the roof we did the solar. The project manager was a brief visit. Everything went smoothly after his visit, great communication. He went above and beyond! Recommend that install staff educate on the cleaning of panels. Pg&e should be quicker at connecting. The follow up by this company is excellent, overall we are happy with our decision.

The process went very smoothly from start to finish. We contacted the company in early April and they were able to secure the necessary permits through Santa Clara County in a reasonable time frame. The installation took place in the timeline we discussed and they were done in less than one day. The Project Manager, Jesse Garcia, did a good job of keeping me informed of the process as well as helping me with how to use the online tool for monitoring the system. I look forward to benefiting from the solar installation!

NOT RELIABLE, NOT TRUST WORTHY and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL.I am in the process of getting my equipment installed and I have never ever dealt with a company with such bad customer service. It has been over one month since they started the installation process and have not yet completed the work. Lack of communication, misrepresentation on progress and completion date, and already failed one city inspection due to the technician not completing the work and not being present the day of inspection. I have been calling both the account rep and technician on a daily basis to ask for updates on when they will come and complete the work. Every time it's the same story, we will be there tomorrow but no one shows up.

The initial consultant came out and was able to recommend the correct amount of panels we needed for the energy we use.April, the admin assistant, assisted us seamlessly with our PGE application to start solar. She was the go between and as soon as she submitted our application our solar was turned on.There was a bit of a lack of communication in the in between. After our panels were installed, which took no time at all to get our appt, we waited about 6 weeks for inspection and no one in the office called to tell us an appt with the county had even been set up. Once I finally called and spoke with someone our appt was set up for the following week.But now that we are all set up we have not paid PGE for the last few months! That’s the best part!

After listening to presentations from three companies, we checked with Armstrong who installed our foam roof. They recommended High Definition Solar. The process was smooth, it was always easy to make contact with our rep, the engineer, or whoever we needed. Only criticism I have is that when the configuration of the panels was finalized, we were not advised and we would have preferred the second row further back from the patio so as to be less visible from the front.

Most of the personnel at High Definition Solar were professional and helpful. I was impressed with both depth of knowledge and sociability of the sales person, solar panel installer and project manager. All questions and concerns I had were addressed to my satisfaction. I was particularly impressed with the completion process conducted by David Huntley in which I was invited to provide feedback that would better grow the company- what an idea- that the customer might be right!
