During my interview of Ron for a bathroom remodel estimate, I was convinced of his knowledge and experience. What particularly won me over was his commitment to keeping the house livable while the single bathroom was being completely remodeled (I'd just need to shower at friends' houses for a little while). His crew, under Alfonso's lead, completed the enlargement and entire remodel of the bathroom in just 3 weeks providing excellent work. While Ron's estimate was distinctly above the other two I considered, the speed and smoothness of this potentially disruptive project made the price well worth it, and the resulting bathroom is beautiful.

Ron from Home Quality Remodeling and his team did a fantastic job adding a second story bedroom and bathroom to our home last year. This also involved redoing the family room on the first floor including removing an existing brick fireplace to make-way for a new insert and new surround. The work was completed efficiently and with quality results and we are very happy overall. Most importantly, Ron has stood by his work, we have had two minor issues come up since the completion of the work and in both instances he has had a crew out to evaluate the concern within a day or two and then quickly worked with us to create a plan to address and fix the problems. He was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and if any other home improvement projects come up in the future we wouldn't hesitate to use HQR again.

Ron, Avi and the guys at HQR did a stellar job on our huge home remodel. We added a second story to our small 2-1 craftsman bungalow in Oakland, nearly doubling it in size. We also moved a kitchen and living room wall and completely gutted our very old kitchen. We basically rebuilt the entire home, while doing out best retain and restore the character of our nearly 100 year old home.We had tried to start this process over a few years, running into snags and unethical contractors along the way, and are so happy that we landed in the capable hands of this team. At every step along the way, we felt honestly communicated with and cared for on a personal level. In addition to this, all of the subcontractors they worked with were top notch as well as courteous and considerate of our neighbors.Not only did they do a remarkable job and make our house the talk of the neighborhood, they went above and beyond to really be sure we were always 100% happy with all of the work being done. Even with the pandemic hitting right in the middle of our project, they managed to finish within our original timeline as promised. Ronnie was our project manager from Home Quality Remodeling, he provided us with a fare quote to do our master suite and our family room. The workers where on time daily, great communication during entire project. The end result was a beautiful new master suite with a huge walk-in shower and additional storage room. As for the family room they did an amazing job adding the stone wall around and up the fire place added built in cabinets and book shelves. Job was completed and we are happy with the end result.

We contracted Home Quality Remodeling (HQR) for a large interior remodel in San Jose, and was extremely impressed by their work. HQR's project manager Amir Levy was always on point -- professional, reliable, punctual, and overall a pleasure to work with. Our project turned out to be more challenging that we originally hoped (several unforeseen technical issues and some regulatory hurdles), but Amir and his team expertly worked through each of the problems encountered, and finished the project at a very high level of quality. The finished rooms look beautiful, and we are quite happy with the soundness of all the electrical and plumbing work they did as well.During the remodel Amir kept us up-to-date every step of the way. When it came to selecting finish materials and fixtures, he always explained us the pros and cons of different options, and guided us towards high-quality but reasonably-priced options whenever possible. They brought in qualified and licensed specialists (engineers, electricians, plumbers etc) to handle more technically complex portions of the project. They also handled all the permit processes and city inspections, and made sure everything was done as per the latest city codes. At the end of the project they also gave us plenty of time to evaluate their work, and gladly did all the minor final touchups we asked them to do. All the work also came with a 1 year warrant, so we can be confident that they will have our back if something needs to be looked at again in the coming months.Overall, we cannot be happier we decided to contract HQR and Amir. We interviewed 5+ contractors in bay area at the start of our project. HQR's quote was not the cheapest we got, but it was indeed reasonable. Considering the quality of the finished project, and how they dealt with various unforeseen issues during the project, choosing HQR was one of the best decisions we made. This is review is such a pleasure for me to write. Ronnie and his crew did magic in our home, and they were the most trustworthy, smart, kind and respectful team ever. They were not our cheapest option, but read on to know why cheap may not always be best :DAfter getting our plans done with our architect in March, we were itching to get started with our bathroom project; we ideally wanted it to be done by the summer because we had a big trip planned over a few weeks. We hired a contractor (NOT HQR) , who gave us a timeline to start… and then blew past it, with little to no communication. After 2 months of delay (and them always turning our pleas to start the project into little jokes), we severed our ties with them and were back to square one, with an additional heaping spoonful of frustration.Not one to be defeated, my husband heard of BuildZoom and ended up requesting quotes for our project. HQR replied, as well as a couple other contractors. I clicked with Ronnie and his teammate immediately (unbeknownst to them, because I likely did not sound very nice that day) and told my husband I would be working with no one else. That feeling was reinforced by the fact that one of their Yelp reviews was from a gentleman who was gone the whole duration of the project, but had still come home to perfectly executed work. Yep, we had a winner.Only issue: their quote was much higher than the one we had before. After really negotiating with them, they agreed to work with us a bit. We definitely still had to invest more than we planned, but I can tell you now we do not regret it.Ronnie gave us a date immediately after we signed the contract, and we were slated to start 2 weeks later. Here is the funny part: we were so used to lies and fake deadlines from our previous contractor that we actually forgot… and chaos ensued when Ronnie texted us 2 days before the start date to ask if we were ready (WE WERE NOT). We proceeded to move our poor parents ASAP (they were visiting), empty the room next to the bathroom and prep for the crew’s arrival in a couple days. It was epic.Work started as planned, and moved super fast. We only ran into delays when waiting for inspectors; otherwise everything was smooth. Ronnie’s crew helped get materials (we were traveling for over half of the project, so we made WhatsApp work for it), pick up fixtures, schedule appointments with inspectors, and just everything that was needed for the project to be completed on time. They even gave us a referral for the glass enclosure for the shower.Our project was completed in less time than scheduled, and I want to mention that Ronnie was also on vacation for some of it; crew kept moving with no issues at all.Thanks HQR (especially Ronnie and Eilio) for our bathroom; working with you was such a pleasure, and we will recommend you to anyone who comes our way!

I am so impressed by the staff at Home Quality Remodeling. They came out and helped remodel some of our dugouts at the Concord American Little League fields on Olivera. I set up the appointment online, answered all the required questions and it was really easy. Then got a follow up email stating they only do kitchen remodels that start at 50k, so my budget coming in at 30k for a 10x8 kitchen in a rental unit was too low for them to even bother.I would be totally fine with that if they didn’t advertise that they do cost-effective quotes. They actually meant cost-effective for themselves not the customers.Follow up and communication was good if you have the ability to spend their required dollars.

After 20 years of living in our home, my husband and I finally decided to remodel. We reached out to HQR and began working with Jacob and his team. We shared with Jacob our vision for what we wanted done and he immediately knew how to achieve our beautiful home. I was lucky to stumble upon Home Quality Remodeling from a recommendation from a friend. They guys came out to the house pretty quickly to give my project and look and they kept it real with me as to what we could and could not do. I’ve started to think they were robots since the interior painting was executed perfectly cut in lines straighter then you could possibly think possible. The flooring you can NOT see where the Start or end is so perfectly installed like one big piece of floor art and oh boy the refurbishing speechless!
