Eder, Bravlio and his team were amazing, start to finish. They took great care in protecting our home interior after our ceiling was damaged due to water leaks. They walked us through everything they were doing and maintained a clean job site at all times. And it was a messy job cleaning up the soggy sheetrock and insulation. They also went up on our roof during the storms to lay down protection for the roof tiles that had blown away due to high winds. We will definitely use them again. You can trust them with your home. Kind, courteous, and professional!

This review is for Five Star Construction and our assigned contract manager, Raymond. In January 2023, the roof above my kitchen collapsed into our home due to wind driven rain. After mitigating the damage with a separate company, the insurance company assigned to our claim recommended Five Star Construction for our kitchen rebuild. At our first meeting with Five Star, I was very pleased with the service and thorough walkthrough of our damaged kitchen. I had the impression that the work that needed to be done was quite extensive, but did not anticipate the process to be dragged out almost a year.We had to call to follow up constantly just to get small updates along every step of the process. We constantly requested invoices with line items to which we still haven’t seen to this day. Our contract manager, Raymond apologized for the dragged out project and remained cordial through the entire process, which I greatly appreciate but the issues we had with communication were an overwhelming burden. The on-site team was very nice and extremely respectful of our home and to our family. The only time I recall communication was ever prompt was when their accounting department was hounding me for payment.My family was put in an unfortunate circumstance when our kitchen was damaged, I wish the rebuild process wasn’t such a hassle after all we experienced. I would not recommend Five Star Construction for any rebuilds or renovations.

Review For water mitigation covered by insurance:We came home to a water hose in the bathroom spouting off, and the entire floor of our house was soaked in water. We immediately called 5 star and within a few hours they had a crew starting the water mitigation process. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and who I met were great to work with and explained the entire process and what to expect.In the following days, Eder became our primary contact at 5 star. He was extremely professional, responsive, and explained the entire process clearly while answering all of my questions.Five star was also able to take care of all the back end insurance work, ensuring as much of our damage is covered and properly documenting the entire process.With the short amount of time to find a company, and with little research, I took a chance on five star based on their reviews and their location close to use, and I'm glad I did!Disclaimer: this review is for the emergency water mitigation services in Suisun City/Fairfield region. I can't speak to their repair department or other locations.

Both Ray and Bennett were wonderful to work with. Bennett did an excellent job repairing the damaging to our home. He was on-time, professional, respectful of our property, and he kept the job site very clean. Ray was an excellent communicator and kept us very much assured that we were in good hands. I was very pleased with all the work that 5 Star did for me. The workers were also very nice and helpful when I had questions. James, who was in charge of the mold remediation section, was very helpful with suggestions and answering questions and so was Tim Tingey, my project manager for the restoration after the remediation was done. I just can't say too many nice things about Tim - I think he really went out of his way to help me in every way he could and I will always appreciate his service. Thank you, Five Star, for the amazing work you did putting our house back together after a whole house repiping due to a water leak caused by Kitec plumbing that was installed in our home. This work was done in Dec 2022. Sean, Dusty, Ritchie and Romero were great to work with. The team was very professional and did fantastic work. Especially with the drywall repairs. My husband and I are very pleased with the work they did. The repairs were top notch, and the paint match was excellent.Angel (I believe that is his name) did a good job removing and replacing our water heater. We had a fire and our insurance company recommended 5-star. We asked several time for 5-star to provide an estimate on the project. Here was their response: "We were sent an assignment directly from your insurance carrier. We wouldn't need to provide an estimate as we already have agreed upon pricing with them."I pushed several times for an estimate and they refused.Checking with our agent later, the price estimate they gave to the insurance company as twice the price of what we contracted for with another company.The only service 5-star did provide was initial clean up in an outside utility area. I could have done it with my pickup in an hour. They sent 2 guys, who took smoking breaks every half hour, and billed 6 man-hours plus 4 times the dump charge.

This is the team to call during your stressful disaster. Professional, experienced, & excellent communicators . They have different teams throughout their mitigating/repairing phases that ALL work together to make sure the process is smooth and the initial mold mitigation team (led by Braulio) took great care with my furniture and household stuff by removing or protecting them and then went to work on the mold. Independent contractor who inspected mold cleanup stated this company always does a(n) excellent job. Without reservation I would recommend.***6 Month post-renovation follow-up. Most people don't even notice the repaired ceiling and can't see the change with the drywall, popcorn texture, and paint. We had water damage in our kitchen as well as our living room and our experience with five star was stressful and disappointing. They measured our cabinets and gave us cabinets that were too small as well as a cabinet I did not order. after communicating about the cabinets being too small I was told by the contractor Raymond" that they got as close as possible "the solution to my cabinets being too small was to put crown molding on top of the cabinet I still lost space. my tile floor is uneven from the front door throughout the Kitchen. I asked for the same quality of carpet that was originally in my living room instead The carpet in living room that they cut a big hole in was replaced with cheap carpet , again I was told the carpet is under warranty and I could change it in x amount of years! l would not choose five star to do any restoration work for me or anyone I know. I did not realize that they needed to be micromanaged if I wanted my project done correctlyI still believe that there are honorable companies out there you just have to find them🌍Service: Flooring

Everyone at Five Star were very responsive and professional. When I first contacted them it was via Yelp and I was surprised by the almost instant reply from the proprietor. So far the mitigation work to clean up mold from the damaged areas was completed. Eder, the manager was always efficient with his responses and kept in touch with me everyday when his team was working here. I can't say enough good things about the team. They came in to help with water damage through the upstairs and downstairs. They were very professional, always keeping me informed of the process. They were very respectful of my house during the all of the work. Working from home, and 3 kids doing distance learning made for too many people in the house. I would give them 500 stars if I could! Ron, Tim, and the mold mitigation crew were absolutely wonderful! A small (or so we thought) mold job at my condo turned into a full blown nightmare. Tim was professional and helpful during entire time the company was working at repairing water damage, drywall repair and replacement, painting, floor and carpet replacement A large percentage of the employees were skilled and did their work and no need for redoing of their work.
