Maciel Roofing was recommended by a friend who'd had a new roof done by this company. Every bit of the job went smoothly. New roof done in two days. The crew and Pete were all friendly. High attention to detail. No mess left at all. The quote included fixing dry rot, if found, for an additional charge per foot of damage. They could have told me anything, and I would have paid, but no dry rot and no extra charge. Honest!I absolutely recommend this company.

I sought three proposals for a re-roofing of our Berkeley house. Hugo from Maciel arrived to assess the scope of the work. I was surprised at the cursory nature of his observations about specific conditions on the roof-flashing, diverters, crickets. No measurements taken whatsoever. I promptly received a proposal which I took to be a “go away” price. More than a third higher than the next lowest proposal, lots of exclusions and very skant on details of scope of work. I don’t retain a contractor on price alone but the experience with Maciel prompted me to continue my search-which ultimately proved worthwhile.

Maciel Roofing Construction Inc reroofed our 4-bedroom single family house in Newark. We're very satisfied with the work done. Maciel Roofing run a really professional, friendly, and efficient team. My wife coordinated with Pete on coming out and doing an inspection on our old Tar and Gravel roof with inspections of dead rot and an inefficient/old drainage system. The quote was provided promptly and fairly priced.The team came in promptly in the morning and began work right away. They wrapped up the modified bitumen roof and new gutter installs by the end of the day (in 1 day!) and came back the 2nd day for city inspection + cross checking if everything was good.Highly recommend this team, they're aces at what they do. Maciel Roofing is the best contractor I've ever worked with. They replaced the roof on our older craftsman house. Their estimator showed up on time and the quote was very reasonable. The written Estimate provided was prompt and easy to understand, Typical communication on order changes were adopted flawlessly. Work commence date promised was on time. Work crew was courteous and professional. Completion of work and cleanup was exceptional. Final inspection process and the warranty was explained throughly. Highly recommend this Roofing company !

This company is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone needing a roof. They arrived on time, began working immediately with taking off the old roof, replaced dry rot sub roof, replaced rain gutters, put tar paper and new roof, and their clean up was immaculate. All of this within 7 hours. So impressed by them. They are very nice people, great company. It’s so hard these days to find any kind ofBusiness to keep their word, but Maciel roofing did!

We bought a new house and in week 1 California had some odd out of season rain. Two considerable leaks revealed themselves. Pete came out to evaluate either to fix or replace, and we agreed to replace. On the day, today, it was ladders up at 7am. By 11:15 when I looked out the demolition was complete and cleanup underway while the truck had delivered all the new shingles and was pulling out. By 2pm they were done, you cannot tell anybody was here all morning and by 3pm my tree already shed some leaves on our pretty new roof. Wow.I am glad we went with new, because the stuff they pulled off was so brittle from age, nothing like the new pliable shingles that went on. They painted all the vent pipes to match and added eyebrow vents. Areas where the home inspector noted cracks were properly sealed and all work is very neat. A Thick layer of plastic was laid all around the house to catch debris that fell, so cleanup was quick and easy. The crew was amazing. Very helpful, friendly and willing to answer all my questions. I am sure they answer the very same questions every day, but never made me feel like it.As for the workmanship and quality, rest assured it looks more expensive than it was.
