In Dec. 2019, Renovation Roofing sealed my building roof and the roof of the 4 detached garages. Payment included a 10 year warranty. In Jan. 2023, I noticed the red coating that was put under the white sealer was showing through the white sealer. I notified the property manager that had contacted the work, Cabrillo Properties. After, I was contacted by a woman at McKay Roofing in El Cajon on Cuyamaca Street, lic.#428225. She said she hadn't bought the company, but had bought the crew from Renovation Roofing and sent out inspectors. I spoke with two inspectors, on site, and they determined the seal work was faulty and needed repair.Since then, Cabrillo Properties has repeatedly communicated with Renovation Roofing and McKay Roofing to have the work done. Ray Mosley of Renovation Roofing said he would send a crew to fix it, but didn't. Then he said the work had been done, but it hadn't, and still hasn't. To this day the same red, in the same places is still showing through---plus more. Both companies have had a year to resolve this, and instead they have only offered ambiguous, untrue and empty words.

This review is based on a warranty certificate on a home I purchased in April this year. I didn't have them install any roofing products, I'm just trying to get them live up to their promise.The previous owner had the roof inspected by Renovation Roofing and by their estimation the roof would be good for 5 years and under warranty coverage for one year. This was a good sales tactic and it did put my mind at ease since the house is over 50 years old.Unfortunately every time we had more than just a trace amount of rain it would leak in my kitchen and garage, and the wall that separates the two. I'll attach pictures and a video to show this.They have come to my house to attempt to repair this leak 4 times now and I have called them 11 times to report the problem. My assessment is that are simply trying the fastest and cheapest way to stop the leak but there is a more significant problem that they are ignoring.I've asked to speak to a Manger or the owner and was told me that he would call me, they even gave me a specific time that he would call...so I wait for the call and no call ever came.At this point their failure to repair the leak is causing additional damage to my house.I've been patient with this company and have been trying to get this resolved for 4 months, they had every opportunity to avoid this 1 star review. If you need roofing services I can't in good conscious recommend this company.

I will.never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone. Upon completion of the roof replacement they left my gutter on the ground they had taken down, left a satellite dish hanging down the side of my house by a wire and left shingles and nails all over the ground. My roof was not leaking prior to the replacement and it leaked in two spots. They came out twice to supposedly fix it and it still leaks so after all these.heavy rains I have internal water damage and am still trying to get these two spots fixed for good. They also broke my fireplace and when I sent the owner a video he snuck to my house without my knowledge and reattached my flue and would not take accountability for the internal damage to my fireplace they caused but was attempting to conceal it. He rarely respond to my phone calls and text messages and would have the receptionist communicate with me most of my time. A couple times I did speak with him or he text me back he responded in a defensive and uncooperative manner. I regret hiring this company. I also found out after having my roof re-inspected that the roof Renovation Roofing installed is out of code and the whole thing has to be replaced.

Unbelievably unprofessional. At no point in the discussions we had with this company did we ask for only half of our roof to be redone, and throughout the process it was incredibly difficult to get them to communicate about anything. Work started while we were out of town because we couldn't even get a start date, then when we returned and found only half the roof had been done, we were told "sorry, read the fine print." This company shouldn't be allowed to operate, and we will be doing whatever we can to make sure that is the case in the future. Please, please, please, do not trust this company, and under no circumstances enter into any kind of agreement with them.

June 21, 2012I hired Ray and his crew at Renovation Roofing to essentially "rebuild" my garage for me as it was completely dilapidated and downright dangerous. Ceiling was collapsing, back wall partially missing and everything inside was ruined. I was immediately impressed beyond belief when they came over and took everything out of it for me, gross as it was, and had it ready for construction in less than a day. Within a VERY short amount of time, the structure was built, keeping some elements of the original structure, but basically to me was brand new. They put in an open beam ceiling plan, a nice large window and sliding glass doors. I was so thrilled at my new space that I just couldn't bring myself to put any of my junk back in there. I had them build me a shed next to it and turned my old garage into a beautiful new yoga studio/meditation room.My shed matches my garage and the two together really changed the look and feel of my entire home. My yard area where I entertain is now an area I'm proud to show off rather than try to camouflage. But the thing I was most impressed with was their professionalism, the way they cleaned things up, the things they did without being asked, the personal help and suggestions I received from Ray on design, colors, where things would go, helping me make sense of it all. Not to mention that Ray and his crew (Randy especially) are happy, friendly people who are so easy to be around and obviously enjoy what they do. They are just finishing up my tile work and I will miss them when they're gone. I highly recommend them. Oh, and lastly, but DEFINITELY not least, I did NOT feel the tiniest bit ripped off or taken advantage of on the price. Being a single woman and having been scammed before, I know of what I speak. I was completely amazed, after what they did and how it turned out that it actually stayed within the estimate. Thank you so much, Ray. Beautiful work.Shonna
