I contacted Roof Repair Specialist to arrange an appointment for a roof repair estimate. The representative assured me of a prompt response. However, it's been 72 hours, and I'm yet to receive any callback. As a consumer, and particularly as a disabled veteran, I understand that not everyone operates with the same principles. Nevertheless, I hold businesses to higher standards. It's disheartening to experience such a lack of follow-through and disregard for customers' needs.

Jessie from Roof Repair Specialist inspected.a stained ceiling but determined that it was not a roof leak, but rather a leaking HVAC pipe positioned in the attic above the ceiling. His recommended solution was cost-effective and easy. I found him anffable and professional in solving the problem, without a charge. I will definitely call this company for a real roof problem as their solid reputation was once again confirmed.

I needed to replace a 30-year old asphalt shingle roof on my Eagle Rock house and received bids from three highly-rated companies found through a Google search. In addition to outstanding reviews, Roof Repair Specialists offered the lowest quote. They promptly got the LA City building permit and scheduled the work to commence two months later due to their existing work commitments. However, they had a cancellation and asked if they could start the job immediately. The work crew was incredibly thorough and efficient, completing the work in three days, and cleanup could not have been better. Our family had a 5-star experience with Roof Repair Specialist for our roof and gutter replacement project. Starting with Areg who went on the roof and took pictures and video and explained what we were seeing. He showed us various options for our replacement project explaining the differences between each. We felt no pressure to choose one option over the other.He also explained what to expect during the installation process and provided a detailed, itemized estimate with an impressive material and labor warranty.During the planning and scheduling process, Daniel updated us about the schedule and provided information on how to prepare our property prior to the start of the work.We wish we could name everyone on the roof and gutter removal team, the roof installers and the gutter installers. They worked efficiently and cleaned up after every work day.The supervisor of our project, Alvaro, checked in with us daily to inform us about what would be taking place that day and daily walked through the work done. You could be wasting your time with this company.Let me explain. I recently had an appointment with a company rep at 2pm. He arrived about 20 minutes late. After a longer than expected roof inspection he told me it would take about 25 minutes to write up the quote. At that point I realized, I needed to be somewhere else so the rep and I agreed that he could email me the quote as soon as he finishes it that day. Nothing was sent. The next day I called him and asked him about it and he said he had a meeting to attend and several quotes to finish (more people like me waiting) but would get it done that day. Again, nothing was sent. The next morning I texted him and he didn't respond. After a few hours, I called the office and spoke with the receptionist and she relayed to me that he said he was learning a new software program for writing quotes but would use the old system to send out the quote. I don't understand how someone not fully trained could be dispatched. Regardless, the result was the same, no quote. Unbelievable. If you're fortunate enough to get a quote, you're one of the lucky ones.Recommendation: If you value your time, find another roofing company.

We had another company come in and give us a bogus estimate and ended up calling the Roof Repair Specialist for a second opinion. Cristobal showed up on time for the inspection and did a fantastic job of taking pictures and explaining exactly what we needed done to the roof and the estimate was drastically less than our first estimate.Chucky and Maya showed up on time the day of our repairs and showed me again what they would be doing. They got right to work after that and ended up finishing the job quicker than the original estimate! Chucky took the time to show me pictures of all the work they did and I was impressed with how thorough the documentation was so I could see every step. I was very pleased with the whole experience of working with the Roof Repair Specialists team. They were knowledgeable, great with communication with the homeowner (me), organized, and very responsible. I had a roof with an extensive accumulation of damage over the years, while the property is not especially convenient for access. They are very professional. There is NO pushy sales people at all. They came, took pictures, explained what they will do and left. The estimate was emailed. If you like the estimate, you can sign and they will schedule the work. The work was done quick and clean. They took pictures of the end result and send all the before and after pictures to us. Once we confirmed the work is all good and as expected, they will send the invoice. Everything was very well organized; communications was also smooth and they were very responsive. The only draw back that I had was, we asked them to give two separate estimate to do two separate things. They did give two separate estimates and said we can decide either do one or both; however, once we decided to do only one, they unexpectedly increased the price a bit. When we first detected water damage in our closet walls, we called Roof Repair Specialist. They were very responsive and were able to identify the problem quickly. The repair needed was not extensive and we scheduled a repair right away. They arrived as scheduled and repaired the trouble area of the roof. After attempting to get quotes from two other roofers Roof Repair Specialist (recommended by the Berns Group a real-estate specialist) gave us a quote to repair a section of our roof that leaked and I had tried to repair for 15 years. Their solution to resolve my problem and quote was extremely reasonable. They arrived with three workers who spent the day removing a portion of the roof and replacing it with new material. All other roofing companies said I needed a new roof. Roof Repair Specialist stated the roof was good for a few more years with some minor patching and sealing. Even their estimate on complete roof replacement was reasonable. Leaks were because of degraded sealant around pipes and vent. They did replace the roof on my back porch which I knew needed replacement . After a few days of rain…NO LEAKS! After finding a small amount of roof debris on the ground I researched to find a roofer to assess the damage. The first roofer did not have his driver's license and was at first denied entrance into our gated community, didn't go on the roof, and said it would be difficult to find matching replacement material. He said he would do his best to find the material but I never heard from him again.Next, a resident of my community recommended Roof Repair Specialists. What a difference! Scott Putnam drove up in the professional company vehicle. After I showed him the debris he changed into traction shoes, got out his ladder and went on our roof. He was there for quite a while while we waited in the house. When he came down, he then showed us a video he had taken with a camera attached to his cap. The video revealed several missing tiles and also the culprits -- baseballs from a nearby field. It was surprising that we had not found more debris on the ground. In addition, some maintenance work was needed.Scott then gave us a repair estimate that we felt was very reasonable. He also showed us a video of the company's profile. We felt confident about setting an appointment for them to do the work.On the day of the appointment, the roofers came and completed the work within the estimated time.Later via email we received photos of the repaired roof. Let me start by staying, as a Realtor and owner of rental property, I have IN THE PAST....hated roofers over the years! I have had lots of promises not kept, roof guarantees that went upside down due to various reasons. So when we needed to do a tear off and Re-roof of two homes we own in Santa Monica, especially during Covid, I needed to find the very best, most reliable, with great reviews....roofing company to do this huge job! I found Roof Repair Specialists on Yelp, and always take some Yelp reviews with a grain of salt. Every review on them was 5 star! So I set up an appt. They insisted that my husband be at the first meeting to see the roofs and prepare a bid. I scoffed at that since, I make all of those decisions for us, since I am a Realtor. They insisted. I brought my husband along. We met with Jarrod at 7:30 at night! It was already dark. He introduced himself and the company and then with a light on his hat, he went up onto both roofs. One was 2 story. He gave me a list of "references from previous clients." I said...don't need it! You have all 5 star reviews. He said, for every person on this list you talk to while I am doing the roof inspections, we will credit your bid with $100. I called everyone and was able to speak to 3 people. These were everything from a complete re-roof to roof repairs. You could tell these folks were not staged. One at first didn't remember the repair til I told her the company. They were wildly positive...one person even said....they called me after the first rain to make sure we were dry! NO ONE EVER DOES THAT! We had gotten 3 bids. They were not the least expensive, and really close to the top bid. I just had a great feeling about Jarrod and the company.EVERYTHING THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO...THEY DID! It took forever to get a permit from the City of Santa Monica (grrr) but they started when they said they would. Came every day, and even contacted me one day because they ran out of materials and would have to come back one last time for a half day. The up charges for rotted wood were expected (always happens on a re-roof) and were reasonable. They had to replace our three skylights (thanks goodness....they were 20 years old and it would have been crazy to keep them with the new roofs). The charges for the three skylight was fair. They used Velux...the best. They finished on time. They use magnets to sweep the yards to get up all the tossed off nails etc.I was so impressed that we will NEVER use another company. As a Realtor, I get calls all the time for referrals for plumbers, roofers etc. I just can't say enough about this company. I have never worked with any sort of trades firm that is this together. Everyone was so nice. They really also accommodated our schedule since both homes were tenant occupied (rent control) and one family has small children. They were polite to my tenants, and the whole job went very smoothly. Plus, you don't pay until the end! I have hired roofers in the past that want 50 % down and then good luck getting them to show up. I paid them the full amount AFTER they had their final inspection approved. Edited:Changed my review to 4 stars because of their prompt reply to my concerns. Also I think my project genuinely just fell through the cracks and it wasn’t malicious. Thank you.—The repair was done but during the next storm it leaked. I contacted them 3 times and they sent someone to examine it. Then it leaked during the next storm and I called / emailed them about it and no one has replied since. I suspect they are waiting for the warranty to expire and buying time. Very disappointed.

Because of roof leak during A rain storm we called three roofing companies for estimates. First guy, owner of the company, did not go on roof, said we would need half the roof replaced, for $10K. Second estimator was a total beginner. He went on roof and basically repeated what the first guy said…$10k for half a new roof. Third was Roof Repair Specialist. Their estimator actually worked as a roofer. He went on roof, immediately found the problem, which was vent pipes not flashed. Estimate was $1500. We accepted, made a date; they came, did the job, sent us photos, cleaned up thoroughly and left. Badda bing, badda boom.We’re totally happy.Service: Roof repair for storm & wind damage
