I had a motor replaced in my heating/AC unit for well over $1K and a little over a year later, the same motor needed to be replaced again. The 1 year warranty had just expired, and they gave no thought of any compensation or consideration and were expecting another $1K+. I just couldn't stomach it and went someplace else.

I never leave reviews but was so happy with this company I am taking the time to do so. Was in bind- needed to have someone go check the A/C for my tenant as my regular guy wasn't available. I found them online which always feels like a gamble- but they were professional, had availability and someone was able to come out that afternoon and fixed the problem for a very reasonable rate. I had A/C Control install a mini-split in a bedroom. Babak was excellent to deal with on the phone and through email. Everyone involved was professional and courteous. The workers who did the install explained everything and were accommodating of my questions. The jobsite stayed neat and they cleaned up thoroughly when finished.The unit works great and I will be using A/C to do regular preventative maintenance on all four of my mini-splits in the future. Could not be more please.

I was terrified of another dishonest technician coming into my home and telling me I needed a whole new system for thousands of dollars or recommending more Freon for a thousand -- then, a year later, he's back... Instead, A/C sent me a great technician -- honest and communicative. He found the defective part, replaced it promptly, and charged me a fair price. Really pleased.Service: Repair HVAC

My AC unit stopped turning on so I had a tech from AC Control come out to diagnose it. The first thing I asked him to check were the fuses since they looked very old and dirty. He said the fuses were ok but there were two capacitors that were bad and that my compressor was also bad. He said he couldn't fix it all and that the solution was to get a whole new system for $11k.A few days later I had another HVAC company come out to take a look. This tech put in new fuses and everything began to work. No new caps or compressor needed.Stay away from AC Control as they are either liars and/or incompetent. And never trust reviews from accounts with less than 3 reviews, guaranteed they're mostly fake.

I live in a high rise - where A/C Control is one of our highly selected approved vendors.The 2 technicians arrived on time, were friendly, professional, and thorough.They were very conscientious in NOT disturbing any of our furnishings, also being careful NOT to make a mess. They serviced 2 of my friends’ homes in our building who were extremely pleased with their work as well. The office staff is also great - polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone I dealt with made me feel valued as a customer. I will definitely use them again!

I had a terrible experience with A/C Control. My condo building had some work scheduled, so I asked the HOA to give me a referral. A/C Control wanted me to pay the diagnostic fee even though they were already scheduled to be on-site. The guy didn't even fix my unit on the first visit! So they sent someone back a week later. It worked for a day, now it's busted again. I was stuck with the $300 bill. I won't be using this company againService: A/C system repair

My home warranty assigned me 3 vendors who could not service a water-sourced heat pump. After spending 2 1/2 hours on hold and being lied to, I cancelled the work order and tried tried A/C Control. I knew they were qualified from neighbors' experience. They answered the phone and provided same day service. It was not a major problem. It was clear the tech new what he was doing. He was methodical, very systematic. He found the problem and eliminated it. I paid a little more than I wanted, but the service call fee counted toward the work, and trying to save money on my home warranty insurance certainly had not done me much good, so I was not inclined to scrimp in this case. It's been nine months since A/C Control removed the existing 4-ton packaged air conditioning/gas unit on the fourth floor of our building with a new American Standard 4-ton unit. They had excellent references and a competitive price for the hardware and services.The removal and installation went well. The crane operator was capably managed by the A/C Control crew. The workmanship was excellent.There were a few glitches (as with any project) which they handled quickly and competently. I have a lot of confidence in their team. The American Standard is a big improvement over the old unit and much more economical. I highly recommend the company.

The costumer service was excellent. They were very responsive to my calls and always in a nice and courteous manner. The person that they sent was good too. He explained what my A/C unit needed (I told him when I open the door what the unit needed, but I guess he needed to see it for himself). After the diagnostic, he said the company would call me with the quote. I told him I knew it needed refrigerant to which he agreed to for the exceeding amount of 1,200. Last year I had the same thing done for 500. Don’t they know we can communicate with other companies and check prices? Why do you want to charge so much for a thing that the whole container 25lb of refrigerant would not be more than $175. I understand parts and labor but 1000 dollars for parts and labor for a 30 min job? I am sorry but this is insane! Not working with them ever!

Asked to have a new Ecobee wireless thermostat installed. Initially it created a lot of problems due to the wiring within my complex, which was built in the 80's.The problem necessitated the senior technician come out on another day to ascertain the issue. He was very professional and fixed the problem quickly. It was a bit expensive, but well worth the cost. It's not always best to go with the least expensive since you'll get what you paid for, so, I paid more and received terrific workmanship and professionalism.
