Terrible experience-if I could give 0 star- I would! They were very persistent during sales process- however, once the issues arose- they are not as " enthusiastic" in assisting us or providing an adequate customer service. We paid in full for solar panel installation, after which time their installers caused major damage to our roof- we discovered it as soon as it started raining unfortunately. We informed them that we were experiencing major leaks - they sent some roof repair people who ended up not fixing it properly and the leaks continued. Our multiple requests to see their licenses failed - as NRG Upgrade and Lizi- would ignore our requests. Our newly remodeled home - now has damage to the ceiling and leaks have expanded to the nearby bathroom. What's worse- is our electric bill is now over 1K - since the solar panels were turned on-- I totally feel that we haver been scammed !

This is not a review about their product. Two years ago I was interested in NRG Upgrade's services, and I determined it wasn't the right time for us to move forward for unrelated reasons. However, I've been continuously called by NRG Upgrade on a weekly basis since, either directly by NRG Upgrade, or agencies sourcing leads for them. I've repeatedly told them to no longer call my number, however they continue to call.

I requested a quote on Yelp. Levi showed up on time with a briefcase, and wearing a mask. He climbed up on a ladder and checked out both the roof and attic. The consultation went thoroughly. He explained the materials, working process, and answered any question we had. The quote was reasonable.My city had a delay in processing permit due to COVID-19. Levi and Myra are patient and kept us posted. Once we got the permit, NRG upgrade started the project immediately. All crews work in a timely manner as they promised. We noticed one rafter didn't touch the fascia board. Levi worked his best to remedy it. We had all rotted wood, facia boards, and a rafter replaced with no extra charge.Although there are some minor issues about cleaning and damaged items, overall we are very pleased with the new roof. Levi is professional, reliable, and up front. I would definitely recommend working with him.

They assisted us in our applications for both a grant and loan to make the project affordable. Asaf and Daniel were very helpful as the project moved to completion. Our new solar system is now on and generating solar power to improve our environment and save on our electric bills. I started looking into solar energy after my father-in-law had a system installed in his house. Although they had another company do the install I was a little picky and sought out someone else for my needs. After an exhausting research on the internet and reading the numerous reviews on Yelp and other websites, I narrowed it down to three companies and scheduled appointments. After receiving quotes I decided to go with Nrg upgrade. I received a lower quote from another company which Nrg upgrade easily matched. Daniel was my consultant and I found him to be very professional at the same time knowledgeable about the product he was presenting. Absolutely no pressure during our meeting and when it was all said and done he shaked my hand and assured me I picked the right company. Before leaving he purchased several raffle tickets from my 12-year daughter who was selling them for her soccer team. Daniel you are a class act ! The crew that came out on the day of installation was equally professional as Daniel and extremely polite when asking them if they could re-route some conduit so it would be out of view. I hate the sight of cables, etc and anything they could do to minimise it would be great in which they did. Overall the process was painless and I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend this company.  In closing I want to thank the entire staff at Nrg upgrade with their customer service and being prompt with returning phone calls, text messages and emails. You made this experience pleasurable and without incident.Many thanks !!!

I choose NRG Upgrade because of so many positive reviews but only the salesperson was hard working and caring. The woman Lizi in the office is snappy and says what she thinks you want to hear then does nothing. Currently I'm waiting on their business license renewal. Good office practice would never allow this to happen. The installation was ok but the men were slow. They said they wouldn't break any tiles and they broke many. We saved tiles from our new roof but the company doesn't even compensate for them. Now the offing girl is on vac5and so is the girl filling in for her and the guy in the field who she promised could help has a full voice mail, doesn't answer, doesn't call back and doesn't respond to a text. Find another company.

I am very much impressed with this company. I am so glad I went with them and there is many reasons why I did. After researching several solar companies, NRG Upgrade was superior in many ways: the materials used, guarantee, and the fact that everything is done in-house (sales, design, engineering, and installation). They were constantly in contact with me throughout the whole process which made me feel comfortable and more confident in the company. There is nothing better than customer service like this. If you want work with a company who are experts and are honest, look no further you have come to the right place. Our experience with NRG was not a customer and salesman relationship, it was more like a friendly communication and everything was easily done. We recently installed solar panels on our house roof and we are very satisfied with their work that has been done. Of course I was shopping around with other solar companies, but NRG had the most affordable pricing plan and quality solar panels that I could get. Not to mention they were extremely detailed and informative. We highly recommend this company to whoever is planning to get solar panels. They were a great team! Very happy!

Stay away from this company. They are total scammers. I regret choosing them. Like many others, I got fooled by their reviews and decided to hire them for this project. They started my project 3 months ago and still haven’t completed the installation. Each time I call and email Lizi I get told the job “will get done next week”. Which is a complete lie. For three months I keep hearing “we’ll come finish next week”. I have also called Arbi countless of times, each time I have left a voicemail, however he has never had the decency to return any of my calls. Instead chooses to completely ignore a client who is spending over 43K for solar installation. I start my payments next week and they still have not passed final inspection because the panels are not installed correctly. WHAT A JOKE!! Stay away from this company. Give your money to a company who is committed to their customers and who takes pride in what they do and put customer satisfaction above anything else. I hope management sees my review and understands just how unsatisfactory their performance is. It is utterly frustrating that a project of 2-3 weeks has been prolonged for 3 months.

I was referred by my neighbor to call this company for the solar work I needed in my home. I cannot thank my neighbor for the recommendation and Nrg Upgrade for their great work and effort in the services they have provided in my home. NRG came recommended to us for our roof and gutter installation, as well as solar. To start, they damaged our property by running over mature cacti plants and breaking off parts of our cement driveway. We received a complaint from our neighbor that the guys installing our roof were staring at her and made her very uncomfortable. The guy who dropped off our solar panels came alone, then asked my partner to help him unload the pallet, which is both wildly unprofessional and also incredibly dangerous. My partner ended up injuring himself and the company has done nothing about these claims we already filed with them. We approved a layout of the solar panels and they went against what we approved, without mentioning a word before or after installation. They offered no real catalog or color swatches for our gutters.This is just the tip of the iceberg, and we'll be submitting another review shortly to further explain our horrific experience with these totally incompetent people. We went solar a few weeks ago, NRG upgrade installed the panels on our roof and we had a great experience with them. They informed us as they moved along what was happening. They took care of all the permits and authorizations and we only had to deal with them. They were very nice, accommodating and professional. The job was done like predicted and we really saw an immediate decrease in our bills. I am very satisfied with the outcome and would deff recommend hiring those guys. They did a great job for us and I heard not everyone is that lucky.

I chose NRG Upgrade for my solar installation because of the quality of the components being used. A lot of the other vendors were using cheap foreign made panels. They were able to explain how this would affect us in the long run and made a lot of sense. The technician that came out to check out our roof was able to make a seemingly complicated subject very simple to understand. The crew was very very professional and showed me exactly how things were installed onto the roof before they even started anything! Not only was the system installed quickly, but there was minimal interruption to my day to day life. The installation only took a couple of days and then we were up and running. The biggest plus for NRG was that I would say is how easy to get a hold of them was. Since this was an investment I really appreciated how I could get a hold of the office or the technician whenever I had a question. That really made me feel good about my choice. Very impressed!

Thanks to NRG I can now save money every month because I got the team to install the solar panels in my house. I wasn’t sure which company I should with at first because the few quotes I have gotten weren’t too far from each other in the price range. But, I can proudly say I made the right decision by going with NRG solar. They finished the job quicker than expected and they were delicate with my home while still doing a proper job. I went with them because they gave me more customer service and more information in this work which made me feel 100x comfortable in a company.

Moving into a brand new home causes you to have many different and high expenses. I needed to install brand new solar panels in my home, so i could start saving as soon as i possibly could. So I started doing some research. Along with the research, I was able to see NRG Upgrade’s great reviews through multiple sites. I called a couple of companies, but NRG Upgrade seemed to fit me the best given their professionalism and communicative/descriptive strategies. NRG Solar was very communicative and explained the entire job verbally and through a descriptive quote. They worked very hard on the work they have provided I couldn’t be more satisfied.

I got excellent service from these guys, they went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and get my mother's home installed with solar. They are about to save her $$$$ every year, installing solar was worth every penny! Who wouldn’t want to save tons every year on their electrical bill? Also, it is even better when it's with a great company like NRG. They were so neat when doing the job and very knowledgeable about their work they were providing. Our Solar System was installed in late June 2017 for our home in Los Angeles. Installers were professional and fast and I was completely satisfied.The solar system has worked perfectly and is properly sized for our energy needs. Most months we pay the required minimum to cover the base meter fee and the taxes. On an annual basis, we produce more energy for the grid than we consume from the grid.We also replaced our roof so it will support our new solar system, the process was fast and clean, the price was fair and they kept their word.Thank you NRG UPGRADE for the best experience.

I cannot express enough appreciation for the team/staff members at NRG UPGRADE. They came highly recommended by a very close friend.  The tech was extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient and dedicated to his work and his customer's best.The consultants explained the process in detail and answered even my most obtuse questions. The tech that came out took pictures from the back house, got on the roof - took more picture from the roof and we had our permit within three weeks and the job was complete in two days!! The solar panels and arrays are beautifully designed on our roof and the wire run and conduit are very professionally installed without being an eyesore which was my main concern because I see some homes with panels where you can see everything and I did not want my roof looking nappy.NRG’s customer service and support was above and beyond. The solar panels they installed helped me get out of the toxic cycle of paying high electricity bills that were depleting our income. I'm so happy I don't have to deal with those horrible utility bills much longer!!

NRG Upgrade is the gold standard for solar energy design and installation in Los Angeles. They explained all aspects of the solar installation thoroughly from - rebate information, installation procedure, warranty or pricing. The entire quote was sent to us with all information included, including the equipment datasheet. The installation went very well and exceeded all expectations. They went above and beyond as they cleaned up after themselves including making sure the area they worked at was in a better condition than when they first started. Their installation is professional and made sure it was also cosmetically beautiful.I am glad to have found this company and will surely highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have solar installed.

Should something go wrong they go above and beyond to correct it.Highlights from the work done on my house:When the panels in our contract were out-of-stock by the manufacturer, they offered to install upgraded, more efficient panels at no additional charge to move the project along in the time promised.They handled everything from A-Z including coordinating with the city to upgrade my electrical service, upgrading and moving my electrical panel and filing for city rebate.I tracked the project using their online management software that allows you to follow the progress of your project step by step and download any docs you may need.Since buying a home I've had mostly bad experiences working with contractors, but this whole project was refreshingly smooth. I'm sure I annoyed them with my calls following up with every detail, but there really wasn't any need to. These guys are pros and I would gladly recommend their services to my family and friends.Thanks to Ace,daniel and your whole crew. The panels are producing as promised and now powering my electric car :)

Just started working with NRG Upgrade in an attempt to save money by installing solar panels. When I first reached out to the business, the office explained everything involving the price, the process of work, contract, different options and had a choice of what was in our favor. What really got me to go with this company and not any other is them not rushing me or pushing me into making any quick decisions. I had two quotes from two different companies but I decided to go with NRG but for many reasons:Their equipment is up to par with the look/efficiency of the best panels on the market.Their team was the most professional and informative along with being extremely prompt in returning emails/calls.They made the complete deal very transparent and didn't try to squeeze me out of any "extra" money.Thank you, a very satisfied customer.
