Nothing but impressed from day one. CenCal was my first choice simply by reputation, word of mouth, and consistency with quality. The welcoming staff and local presence added to the great experience with CenCal. Getting an estimate was easy and quick. The turnaround time from estimate, acceptance, and job completion was fast. Even though the roof I had them replace was smaller than the average in the neighborhood, they did it with craftsmanship, care, all while treating my family and I like VIPs. Owner, Rusty, is a Viking of a man but understands the human condition and was able to provide exactly what we needed. There are a lot of homes and businesses in our area that were affected by the storms of early 2023, and CenCal is busy every day getting our community back to where it needs to be. Rusty, Erin and the highly skilled craftsmen at CenCal took on an unusual, complicated and prominent metal shingle roof for us. It was a huge undertaking and in the wrong hands could have been a disaster. They did a meticulous and gorgeous job. The roof is beautiful. Plus they managed a lot of tricky details along the way. I feel lucky I found them and wouldn’t use anyone else.

I live in Cambria, folks had many recommendations but I decided to go with Cen Cal. I am not sure if it was the customer service, the price, or the wonderful energy the Can Cal Family put out.I love my new roof. The quality and execution on getting this old roof ripped off and replaced was incredible. They sent over a wonder SQUAD of roofer that just came in and made the magic happen. Every time I drive down the road and I see that beautiful new hickory roof I am just so PUMPED. Thing is a work of art. They did a great job tarping off the area, even the driveway before they pulled in. They were so clean, and professional. I definitely recommend this family business. They did such a great job. You get what you pay for, but they didn't gouge me on price at all.Do yourself a favor, call these folks to do your roof. Meticulous clean up as well. The owner Rusty had personally come out to our business in the rain to look at some issues. I had called about 10 minutes before explaining the issue and he immediately came out. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews on here.I have had quite the opposite of experiences with this company.I am a tenant at a job CenCal most recently completed in Cambria.We had a really bad leak in my home and my landlord was able to get an estimate for a major repair here back in November.Rusty, the estimator, was very professional and knocked on my door to alert me that he was there and would be going up on the roof. He was very knowledgeable and explained the leak situation to me which was very helpful.Once CenCal was able to schedule the job, the crew came out and alerted me of their presence. They were very respectful and extremely hard working.I could not believe that this job only took three full days.My landlord and I are very happy with their work.I would DEFINITELY recommend CenCal Roofing!!!

I've found that when people don't get what they want immediately they blame the sales person and or the person that answers the phone. If the answer they hear is not the answer they want then the other person is the bad guy. The women "receptionists" at CenCal Roofing are extremely polite and professional. For anyone to say otherwise is ludicrous. I've worked with them for years. I've been completely satisfied and happy with their customer service and workmanship. These "review" websites are so one-sided. It's just so easy for people to sit in their houses in front of their computers and blast off their frustrations without any repercussions. No face to face resolution. It's cowardly.

CenCal replaced our roof about 5 years ago during the drought. When it did finally rain our roof leaked. After multiple conversation, emails over months someone finally came to take a look. They determined it had to do with our ac unit. They attempted to patch and also partially repaired the ceiling that had been damaged. Fast forward we continued to have a leak and we no longer can get a response from CenCal. Fast forward even further we had our ac unit replaced. The roof continues to leak.

Cencal installed rain gutters for us in May of 2015 and were promptly paid for that work. During a big rainstorm that we had on July 18th, we discovered that the gutters were installed wrong in such a way that instead of the water draining out of the downspouts, it actually poured over the end of the gutters on the opposite end, ruining several hundred dollars worth of landscaping.We made our first call to them describing the problem shortly after that and after 3 or 4 calls they finally agreed to send someone out to look at the problem. The first employee saw the problem but had no idea how to fix it so he had to bring another employee back with him. The second man new how to fix it and said he would get it on the schedule. After months went by and many phone calls where they kept promising to make the repairs, the rainy season began and we had another company make the repairs and paid them to fix Cencal's poor work. It took them less than an hour.Their service after the sale is terrible and obviously they are not familiar with how to properly install rain gutters. We are going to need a roof next year and definitely will not be using Cencal.

Employees left trash and materials all over the driveway/walkway on most days they finished the job. After bringing some valid concerns to the company the crew became hostile, cat calling and trying to intimidate me by being confrontational and yelling comments from the roof across the way. This company is under contract by the Home Owners Association that manages our neighborhood, we are actively working to get this contract removed. If you hire someone to do a job and bring up a concern, you should not fear that the crew will become hostile and come after you.
