I made a claim through my insurance and listed 3 items that’s needed to be address and to milk the insurance company they came out 2 separate times and fixed one item each time. After the 2nd visit they made me file another claim to fix the 3rd item and pay the insurance deductible a second time. Definitely doing some shady stuff. The man that came out also placed his tools on my new counter and dented the edge

Excellent service and communication, and finished my solar install ahead of schedule. My only gripe is I still don't understand why they painted the exposed conduit on the roof as part of the deal, but wanted to charge me extra to paint the same conduit on the side of the house, even though I supplied the paint. It took awhile for PGE to do their part as for the connection, but that is on PGE.

I've had them install solar and whole house generator and they did a great job. Yellow light on the generator came on right after the warranty ran out, guy came out, flipped two switches, battery check issue. He was there for 30 minutes, they charged me 250.00, I find that ridiculous, even for California! That being said, I still signed up for their generator service program, they have good people and do good work, luckily I have a little money in the bank if you're on a budget, might want to look around.

This is a top tier company to work with. The ease of business from the start of the project until completion cannot be understated. We recently hired Urban Design Solar to replace our roof and install a solar system. They subcontract the roofing but we were happy with that company also. The bid was competitive and the response times were unmatched by anyone else we contacted. I communicated with several people in the office and everyone was quick to respond and helpful. The installation crews were quick and cleaned up well. I'm glad to be up and running so we are not hit with another huge PG&E bill!

All of the folks that we had contact with at Urban Design were courteous, professional and responsive to our inquiries. They installed a 15kw solar system, 100A panel in my shop and a circuit out to the she shed as scheduled. They are very straightforward with the issues that happened and even though it was out of my price range to fix completely they did everything they could to make my plumbing work. Also gave me options on how to fix the issues myself! I am so impressed. This might be the best repair experience I've ever had. We were assigned to Urban Design by our Home Warranty for a difficult repair. Shawnee was professional, friendly, rushed our job because we were in escrow, and provided excellent communication along the way between all parties. Erik not only achieved a difficult motor repair, he also discovered a problematic leak and repaired that too! And, he was professional, on time, friendly, helpful, accomodated our rush, and had great communication. I can't say enough good things about this experience. I would be happy to call them for my next repair!

I had Urban Design install my solar. There was electrical connector that was faulty (product failure) and half my system stopped producing power. I happened to notice it on a Saturday morning but didn't want to bother them on the weekend. Later Sunday afternoon, I sent a text letting them know and asked if they could get me on their schedule. I got a response letting me know that they will let the office know in the morning. Not only did they let the office know but Dave was at my house a little after 10 am and had it back up and producing power a short time later. Thank you Dave and Urban for the quick response and good service

Solar installation was done within the original timeline given. Frequent updates kept me in the loop as the worked progressed. Staff was helpful through the entire process.I am extremely satisfied with the workmanship and layout of the solar panels. The system is operating efficiently, as I am able to track energy output through the app on my cell.Saving me money by the day!

I have used MD in the past and it was great, they have now merged with Urban Design and pricing has changed. Apparently you have to pay for when they aren't even at your house and go back to their site to pick up a part... A part that they probably should have had on hand to fix a faucet. Ridiculous.To respond to the owner, my disgust is with your practice. You think $220 makes sense to change a simple faucet filter??? Charged 1.5 hours of labor, not because they were working for 1.5 to change the filter, but because your person didn't have a filter on hand...even though he was told it was a faucet leak. So you think it's reasonable to charge labor when they leave and get one from the site? Customers getting a bad deal the further from your site they live? I'm not even sure it was 1.5hr even with the extra travel, but silly me for not setting a running timer. This feels like an intentional money grab. We weren't even told there was an additional bill coming in the mail after we had already paid $130. I paid the bill, but I will never consider your company for any other service.

Urban Design Solar did a great job throughout the entire process. In building out and estimating our solar needs they took time to ask questions and came out to take proper measurements. I received high quality panels that were competitively priced, which I really appreciated!Something I highly value is communication and follow up. Many places seem to be behind the times on how they communicate and interface with the customer. Urban Design Solar communicated well and they communicate often. Max, in the office, followed up with me many times via call, text and email. Max matched my communication preference and was professional and knowledgeable. He made the process stress free and was able to answer my questions quickly. When I had questions about the installation process or finishing process Max took my questions, followed up with the installation team and the techs and responded to me in the same day. Max’s communication was a big part of our fantastic experience with Urban Solar Design.The installation team members were professional and friendly. They gave me updates throughout the process and updated me on any changes to their schedules or timelines.Fantastic experience with Urban Design Solar. We had a 6.8kw system put on our tile roof which for other firms was problematic to the point where most never even came back with a bid after looking at it. They scheduled 1 day for installation but it took them 5 days! The crews worked their butts off yet always maintained a professional decorum. They were respectful and informative to my questions. AMAZING company! I honestly don't think I can write a review that will do them justice! The UDS staff from start to finish were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and eager to do anything and everything possible to make sure we were not only happy customers- but ones that were fully informed & educated on the process of getting solar. They absolutely blew me away. If I had a question, they answered it thoroughly. Calls or emails? Responded to within the hour.From their main sales rep Logan to their installation manager Ryan- we found ourselves in the good hands of good people- hell I was doing a project in my garage while they were installing- & they brought me lunch then lent me a power drill when I had issues with mine! Who does that?! These guys.After the panels were up & I was waiting for PG&E to do their part- I got an email DAILY on what was going on; as they worked to get the power company to approve the connection to the grid. I checked out their competitors. They didn't even come close to the level of service I got from Urban! If your even THINKING about doing solar- do yourself a favor and give them a call, you won't be disappointed.
