My experience with Mark Scott Construction was great from start to finish. I was recommended through my insurance carrier MSC and I was initially apprehensive to sign as there weren't many choices for construction companies that work directly with insurance companies but MSC did a great job coordinating throughout the project, starting with the initial appt of surveying the property. It didn't take me long to sign with them as I felt good about what their company had to offer. Both Frank Capaldo and Don Draper were fabulous to work with and so was their crew! I experienced water damage last year and went through insurance to cover this cost. MSC were accommodating, professional and made the experience more fun because it was an initial headache and very overwhelming to deal with. Don, the main project manager, made me excited about having to repair the kitchen and alleviated a lot of stress by answering my questions along the way. They also kept clear communication, always answered my questions in a timely manner and definitely tried working within my budget and was accommodating of my time and schedule. I felt complete trust with all of their crew to be there when I couldn't be home as I felt like solid work was happening! I worked with Don directly on materials, he helped with choosing countertops and backsplash (because I'm notoriously indecisive) and I felt like I had an interior designer's help. The end results turned out fabulous! My friends always give compliments when they come over. Caleb was very helpful and attentive to client needs. 4 stars due to oversight requirements and consistent issues during project, but finished strong, floors look great and toilet was sorted out. Responding for my aging parents whose home caught fire feb 2022. Mark Scott construction was contracted by fire dept to board up home. This was the only positive process I can say they did well. The following part of the process was disaster, I cant say how deeply troubled I am to learn of all the items that had been meticulously inventoried and gone missing once the debris removal process had begun, including high end jewelry worth $40k+ and the 50 years of belongings just discarded and possiblystolen. So much was very much salvageable and had Mark Scott Construction taken the time to remove, store and clean as they were instructed, we could have preserved the life time of memories that are now lost forever. The situation was hard enough to deal with for my 80 yr old parents and to have their precious belongings come up missing was devastating. The Mark Scott team was fired immediately, we hired a public adjuster was hired to handle the process. Although the items were never recovered, we were on the right track to rebuilding the home and lives of my parents. We are deeply saddened by the fact that this company and its workers would take advantage of the elderly.

The technicians who completed the new flooring in my two bathrooms today did an excellent job, were polite, considerate and skilled. Mark scott Construction is one of the best to perform the restoration work. They recently completed the work at my home and can’t be happier then ever. The house looks more elegant then before. I had wonderful experience working with Don Meadows and Rubin from MS construction. They are knowledgeable, professional on the work they perform and keep me updated every week on the progress made. They went above and beyond to meet my expectations. The work was completed at the agreed upon time. One of the best thing which I have noticed is that they are always reachable anytime weekdays or weekends. They guided me all through the process and I’m happy that I have choosen MS Construction to perform the restoration work for my home. The commitment towards the work is unbelievable. Thanks Don, Rubin, Keith, David and they entire MS construction team for taking care of my home. Special mention to Don/Rubin because they are Honest and reliable people. I felt that my home was in safe hands the day I met Don and Rubin. MS construction will be my to go company for all my future home improvements.

We are renters. A car run though our house the beginning of January and the insurance company recommended Mark Scott to the owners and the owners went with insurance recommendations. I start off with one project manager who coordinates the demo of the damaged area. After the demo is finished (2days) I’m waiting to hear back on what the next steps are and it took me calling him to get a understanding that we are waiting on permits. He said he submitted them 2 days before I called. A few weeks go by and it took us (the tenant) calling and looking up permits from the county to find out the permits were submitted 2 days AFTER I called and complained. After I call again I find out I get a new project manager who would be taking over. And they get to a point where all that is left are small things like painting trim, painting the outside, and installing small trim on the exterior and interior and all of a sudden all communication stops. And we will likely just go with someone else to finish this up. At no point did I have any Trouble with any of the workers it looks like they have good work ethics they show up on time and they do good work it was strictly with the project managers and lack of communication. We were left with a tiny living room due to them Taping off the majority of the construction area and the owners had small request with fixing the floor that was no met. Worst experience ever! Julene which is manager is very rude and unprofessional. I started working with them march, they finally demo on August 8th even tho they knew this was a water leak claim. When they demo they find mold. My ac vents are not covered nothing is covered and left open for mold spores to fly every where. I had to call another company since Mark Scott thought it was ok to leave mold exposed from August 8 to August 15th. I followed my instinct cuz I started getting mold sick. The new mold company I called let me know mark Scott had left a mess and this was not the right way to do it. They quickly taped my vents and started covering everything w plastic. I try to call office to leave a message for Mark Scott but they won’t let me talk to him. So now I have to call BBB so hopefully Mark Scott will know how his company is being ran unprofessional. Now they are refusing to pay for the damages! The receptionist answers w attitude won’t say her name and is refusing to send me and itemized list. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! RUN!!!

I experienced a large flood in my home which resulted in damage to a portion of the ceiling in the family room and all the flooring in my home. Mark Scott Construction was chosen to complete the repairs because of their favorable reviews. Frank Capaldo was assigned as the project manager for the job. My experience with him was outstanding. I was kept informed and he was always available for a personal contact with me. I would recommend the company for your next project and be sure to ask for Frank

Be careful here. Project manager sends in "their people" promptly to help you choose materials you would like but when you inquire about costs of your selections, they're very evasive. Also, If you have any concerns or alternate suggestions of your own, you get the cold shoulder and then put on the back burner. It seemed their way or nothing.I let my insurance company who had referred Marc Scott know what took place and then took my contracting project elsewhere.I am pleased with my new decision. My new contractors were up front from the beginning, helpful, answered all my questions and above all helped me stay within my budget.

After having minor water damage to my condo from washer over flow, my insurance ALLSTATATE, reommended this company for repairs. I had nothing but problems with their personal. They sent at least 5 different people to come out and look at the job which ment I had to take off work. They demanded their 500.00 deductible up front and almost 2 months later, no work has been done. After many calls of excuses with Arnie the project manager, I finally called ALL STATE and demanded a new company for repairs. I also said they should never suggest this company to their insurance customers for repairs because it has been a nightmare dealing with them. They have no consideration for the client or their time schedules and only have dollar signs in their eyes!

We had a roof fire recently. The damage was extensive, affecting directly or indirectly every room since it started on the roof. We never filed any home insurance claim, much less a claim this extensive, so we had no idea what the process was. Fortunately CSAA chose MSC to handle the estimate and the repairs. They were experienced in every aspect of reconstruction as well as meticulous in their repair estimate. Matt True, who was the Estimator, was very experienced and was clearly working to make sure his estimate reflected whatever work had to be done to restore the home to it's original condition. This included making sure the "line of sight" provision was followed to ensure there would be homogeneity throughout the interior and exterior of the home. The estimate also had to be extremely accurate in order to avoid nasty surprises which would entail going back to the insurance company with supplement requests.We had hardwood floors installed, brand new roof, painting throughout the entire house and structural repairs to the roof. We also had damage to the HVAC, ducting throughout the house as well as the attic insulation. All this needed to be replaced completely. The crews were extremely professional and courteous. But since there was so much work necessary, none of this would have gone smoothly without a top notch project manager. We were lucky to have been assigned Arnie Corral. This guy bent over backwards to get things done right and when there were problems, they were always addressed immediately.We never had to deal with the city, inspectors, subcontractors or any of plethora of details associated with the scope of work involved.We could not have been happier with the work, customer service, follow up and courteous manner exhibited by Arnie and his company.

Horrible service, very unprofessional. The project manager Will Hinton doesn't know what he is doing. They will having you waiting, while he asks his boss to hold his hand with everything. Glad I found another construction company the same day and he has already started building with the help of the City pushing permits, I think they felt sorry because we were done so wrong by Marc Scott Construction.

I want to thank Mark Scott Construction and specifically, Vince Curtis and his crew for doing a fantastic job of purchasing and installing a new front door, repairing the sheetrock and painting the surrounding area after a break in to my home. The crew was friendly, respectful of my home and did a great job. Especially awesome was the painting that Jose did. He had to match 4 different colors that I had no idea what they were and he had to replicate the striped pattern. I could not believe how well it turned out. Thank you. Don’t use this office for anything. The inventory crew is unresponsive and unprofessional. They missed whole areas of the house and I’m still finding individual items that weren’t listed. The pictures are mislabeled, blurry and dark. Alex never replied to me unless I had Dave from the Fairfield office intervene. I was going to use the Fairfield office to rebuild my house, but at this point I’m having a hard time thinking about giving this company any money, even if it’s a different office doing the construction.

I had the worst experience working with Mark Scott, I called few times to their Project Manager to coordinate the time with my other contract he never called me back. on the last working day they told us they can't use our contractor because he is not on their permit and we would have to use their services which was $1200 more then what my contractor has given me. Be careful of these guys

If 0 stars were an option... 10 months and counting for an insurance job, that if I had known, I would have definitely went with another company. Zero communication unless you initiate it. And always the same reply; we'll get back to you, which NEVER happens. Of course they blame the the insurance company, covid, etc.
