Original Review July 2023. It was time for my home to change all my door and never experienced of doing this. I called several companies to come and see and in main time try to learn at same time. Everyone come and go spend maximum of 15 min and said they will be back with quotation. But Custom Exterior was only one visit me and set almost over 3 hours help me what I need to do and consider if changing my doors. At same time sales man had all samples and his PC with him to show me then made full quotation before leaving my home. Immediately choose them and order every single doors at my home and some windows.During process they fully helped with city permit plus their sales manager David help me with my local permit. Doors were arrived as it was promised less than 8 weeks. Before installation their Cesar and one of owner of Custom Exterior Jeff visited my house to make sure everything go smooth and since I was worry about home keep clean while this happening. They issuer me be all done and they would cover everything.Installer were here few days later and it was amazing how organized and fast started replacing doors. Everything was cover or moved and at end they vacuum everything put everything back to normal. Installers Robert and Christopher were marvelous in explaining along while they were making progress. All my doors were installed in 3 days. A lot of work. Robert made sure job is done clean with all boarders was putting around doors.I could not imagine how everything from begging went smooth plus they were really patient with all questions I had. I recommend Custom Exterior highly giving 5 star does not reprint this company wish could put more star on top. Thank for great job Custom exterior. If decide change my window you guys be first to call. Thanks Cesar and Robert.Update for May 1, 2024: I have some good news to share! During my recent trip, our bedroom door was accidentally left unlocked. Luckily, Custom Exteriors, the company that installed the door, was able to help us out. Although I had some trouble locking it, I reached out to the owner, Jeff Kendall, and he was happy to come to our home to ensure everything was secure. I really appreciate his quick response and great service. By the way, I wanted to show you some pictures captured by our outdoor camera during Jeff's visit to our place.

We had Custom Exteriors replace all of the windows at our 9-unit apartment complex and they did an outstanding job. From the start, owner Jeff Kendall spent a lot of time with us explaining what our options were, gave us good product demonstrations and answered all our questions. The scheduler, Alli, was very good in keeping us informed of all the steps involved in the process. The installation was flawless with good coordination from Caesar the supervisor and the foreman Benny. The installation crew worked efficiently, their workmanship was excellent and were quite courteous. We highly recommend Custom Exteriors for window replacements.

I rarely leave feedback but this company deserves it. We installed 3 doors with them as they had the best pricing when compared to many other installers. Their work was clean and they are very professional. The salesman Robert was great, he provided me many ways to save costs and a detailed line item quote. The workers came on time and their sales support was even better (Diego) who came put to address any concerns and small fixes. I've recommended them to my neighbors and willing to work with them again for future renovations!

We interviewed several local window companies with high reputations, and found Custom Exteriors to be very engaging, supportive of our questions and worked with us to get a great plan. The process was seamless with regular updates, on time delivery of the windows, and installation that was done faster than expected. Everything went in smoothly, last minute changes were no problem, and we are completely satisfied and would personally recommend Custom Exteriors and Anlin windows to anyone who is looking for an excellent experience and product.

These guys live up to their reviews! It was our first big project after moving into a condominium complex so we were a bit nervous. From beginning to end - they made sure I didn't need to be worried. The workmanship is great, the Anilin product (windows and sliding door) are also amazing and last but not least - the service has been incredible. All of the workers I interacted with have been with the company for a long time - so they know their stuff. Allie, Toni and Jason were also amazing all the way through.

I highly recommend Custom Exteriors as a company who stands behind the windows and sliding glass doors they have built and install.Grayeagle Porter of Custom Exteriors was recommended to me by at least 4 people in my community for his knowledge, expertise, and ability to get people on the schedule for measurements and installation quickly. I was not disappointed!I was brought through the options, reasons why one type of installation was more desirable than another, and what to expect during the installation.Allie at the main office kept me informed all the way, scheduled me at the earliest opportunity (despite a rain delay), and made sure to follow up after the work was completed.The installation crew were professional, made sure that the windows and doors were installed properly, and cleaned up after they were done with the work.The windows look great, with the recent heavy rain and high winds there hasn't been any noticeable leaks, and thus far we are very happy with our purchase. And, the warranty on the Analin windows chosen is second to none. Custom Exteriors comes highly recommended.

I have had the experience of using Custom Exteriors twice within the last 3 years. The first time had some challenges but Jeff, the owner, was very kind hearted, considerate, and did his best to make up for the challenges. My 2nd experience was perfect from start to end - the windows/doors were installed earlier than expected, workers were very professional and did a great job including cleaning and placing everything in order. Above and beyond service! I definitely recommend this company for high quality windows and doors, and for excellent service!

Custom Exteriors has been changing windows for our families' homes, and residential rentals, for over 20 years. The work's done by their employees, not subcontractors. Jeff Kendall's a professional from planning to completion, including excellent cleanup. The Anlin vinyl products they installed are top notch. Every day we enjoy improved comfort, as well as better sound dampening. Their website is informative and has a chat feature. We had two separate introductions to Custom-Exteriors, about 6 months apart. The first was through a neighbor and then a Home Show. We were impressed by their knowledge and integrity which gained our trust. While Researching windows the Anlin windows really impressed me with their high industry ratings for energy efficiency (as we were replacing 60 year old single pane windows).The helpful sales calls with us developed an excellent solution of an additional sliding patio door which impressed us and our friends how our home was transformed by sound dampening, insulation and new vistas! The installation crew was what we hoped for; hardworking, skillful, tidy and efficient.

My wife and I decided to replace our bedroom window with french doors. Mark Harris came out to our home to go over pricing, options and even brought samples to explain the product. I got a competing bid and Custom Exteriors was solid in terms of price and quality.The installation day was extremely easy and pain free. The installers were professional, friendly and quick. They even let me hang around the view the process as I was very inquisitive.The next day our exterior stucco was replaced and the following week I had it painted through a referral they provided.I had several talks with the administrative staff regarding scheduling and payment too. I used Custom Exteriors to replace 13 windows in my home. My windows were pretty old - they were not soundproof (I live near a train), they were not low-e so the house would get really hot during warmer days. So I decided it was time for an upgrade. The process was pretty straightforward and the salesperson I worked with was very helpful in answering my questions. They originally estimated that it would take around 7-8 weeks to get the windows, but I got a call in about ~5 weeks that the windows were ready to install. It took about two days to install all 13. I see a considerable difference in the temperature of the house as well as the noise level too (I don't hear the train anymore). I left out a star because one single hung windows that were installed does not open as expected. Seems like there is something wrong with the balance spring, also for the same window the little plastic lock keeps popping out even though I haven't used it so I had to tape it down because it prevented me from opening the window (see picture). I'm still waiting to hear back on how I can get these fixed.Update: Changed from 4 stars => 5. It has been awhile, but I was able to get in touch with a Anlin Del Mar technician who came out free of charge and fixed some issues I was having with a single window.Service: Window installation

Custom exteriors was organized and very responsive. They contacted me at each step in the process. When I would think I hadn’t heard from them in awhile I would find an email or message from them. Install went very smooth and when they left that night all “holes” had something in them so we were protected from the elements until they could finish the next day. One of the pull up/down windows is hard to lock but thinking with time it will become easier. When they are locked they seem like a good seal.Service: Vinyl window installation & replacement

Most of the work was good after I found a most of the mistakes that were fixed. I didn’t appreciate getting the request for final payment with the words “past due” and a back up email to pay by this weekend. I had been waiting for this invoice so I could pay it. It seemed like they were behind on billing and passed their stress onto the customer. It was rude.

I live at Rossmoor, a community with over 6,000 condos. Rossmoor has very strict HOA rules and all work must comply with Rossmoor's code, which exceeds City requirements. As seen in the attached photos, my townhome required custom built windows. I received 3 estimates, one estimate was several thousand dollars over Custom Exteriors estimate, another was similar but that company had much less experience in Rossmoor. Custom Exteriors' estimate included all work and there were no surprises. The job went perfectly as promised. On day one the original windows were removed and new windows were installed. On day two their stucco crew applied new stucco and wood trim. On day three their painter completed all of the painting. Custome Exteriors facilitated the inspections throughout the process. The company has a long history and very good relationship with both the City of Walnut Creek building department and Rossmoor's alteration's department.The permit process went very smoothly. It pays to go with a company that is known and respected by the City of Walnut Creek and Rossmoor's alterations department. The bottom line is that working with Custom Exteriors was a great experience and I highly recommend them.

I have nothing but Great things to say about Custom Exteriors!!! From my first visit with Jeff Kendall, who took his time to explain the difference in the window types and why they use the ANLIN Windows. Followed up with my experience with his professional installers.They were very professional! They wore shoe coverings and cleaned up after each section of work. They were very quick, but not so quick that they missed anything or did anything incorrectly. They didn’t chip any paint, nor crack any trim, I was impressed.When all was said and done, I followed the gentleman out to the truck and one of the Young men had been vacuuming the driveway. I was shocked, I had to ask why? He said just incase we dropped a nail or a piece of glass. I can not recommend Custom Exteriors enough!!!!! Robert was knowledgable and thorough in his initial visit, and was able to explain the entire process exactly as it played out. Replacing all the windows and 3 large sliders in my older home could have had lots of glitches and surprises but my installation with Custom Exteriors out of Pleasanton was such a great experience. Dave Lopez, sales manager, was low key, and very confident of his product and crew. He did a thorough job of showing me the quality of the product and explaining their outstanding warranties. A really great surprise was the install crew. Outstanding team. Each knew their specific aspect of the job, and when there were questions, they made sure to let me know and make sure I was happy with the final product. The tech with least seniority it turns out, has been with the company for over 18 years. That speaks volumes. First I have to say that I was most impressed that Custom Exteriors had a "Rossmoor" tab on their website, brilliant !!!I had the most amazing experience with David Lopez as he explained the process of replacing my windows and sliding door. He was very methodical and precise and I appreciate his attention to detail.Next I met with both of the owners who came to confirm measurements and set up the permit process. Both Jeff and Kevin were a true pleasure to work with and made me feel like family.Finally I worked with Michael Chew in the scheduling of my installation. We had a bit of a hiccup in that my order did not ship complete but he worked with me on getting another install date that fit my schedule.
