garner roofing was amazing. I had previously called 5 roofing companies and none of them would come out and repair or even look at my house because the job was not worth their time.Garner scheduled me a 100 dollar estimate. Christopher Collier was my roof inspector, he showed up on time, repaired my roof during the estimate and even cleaned the leaves off of my roof. I could not be happier with the service garner and Chris provided. They went above and beyond to make sure my roof was properly treated and ready for winter.

The work done was very good, but now my home is having a lien put against it because Garner hasn't paid their supplier even though I paid them in full. I have called and no one has gotten back to me. This needs to be resolved asap since the supplier is in the process of filing the lien. We are retired and cant pay additional cash for something we have already paid. Rich Walton is the owner and would like him to resolve this as soon as possible.UPDATE: Our home now has a lien against it. even though Garner has paid the bill well they sent me a receipt that it was paid. I believe it should be Garner to get this lien cleared. We are retired and paid cash for our bill with Garner and now we don't know what our options are.

Garner roofing is the best...several years ago they did my entire roof for house, shop, and studio which was about 7600 square feet. the guys came out a did a great job in removing the old roof and installing the new one...we also had 30 solar panels put in......that was a great move with electricity going up all the time.After the recent wind storm last Sunday the wind blew off one of the skylight domes and lifted some shingles around the skylight.I called Garner and they told me the repair would be covered under warranty, which was great.A really neat guy, Forrest, came out and was personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with...He fixed the skylights, and screwed down the shingles that were raising up and inspected the area.I have always had a great experience with Garner and appreciated them coming to my home again...they are worth a call..richard Saturday, 2/10/24

Garner Roofing has a solid reputation and has been taking care of our family homes for a few years now. Austin in particular exudes great customer service, is honest, reliable and goes above and beyond for his customers. We are truly appreciate of Garner Roofing in keeping us safe in our homes. If you're needing repairs or new roofing I highly recommend getting estimates/quotes from them first, they can come on quick notice, don’t apply pressure and give honest feedback.

Buyer beware you are paying for their new trucks and adverting. They hit me with a $5000 change order on the house of $300 dollars worth of wood and when there guys were already working and another 5000 when they started doing the detached garage.I wouldn’t work with them again. They have poor communication about what they are actually doing with a project. They cannot itemize your project for you because they combine labor and materials together. It seems like a 5 thousand dollar change order on a project or parts of the project are the standard operation. There crew was great but working with their office staff was not an enjoyable experience. When they installed our solar they did not show up for the permit process and lead to us not receiving our permit from the county for an extra month and a half.

The team at Garner Roofing are professional and honest. I was originally quoted for 40ft of gutter cleaning. When their service guy, Forrest, came out and did the job, he told me the size was only 20ft and readjusted the quote. I ended up paying half. He did a great job and was very pleasant to work with. I will be using Garner Roofing from now on for all my roofing needs.

I was impressed with the initial responsiveness of Garner, but unfortunately it was downhill from there. While my roof looks decent, they failed to pay their supplier who intern moved to enforce a mechanics lean against my property. Calls to the office regarding the matter were not returned and after being assured a call back from the person who had estimated my roof after looking into it that never occurred either. My assumption is that the issue has been resolved due to lack of further action, but follow up should have been a given for this scenario. I called in December regarding the open building permit and lack of final inspection and was assured a call back after the permit administrator returned from vacation in January. It is now April and the roof has still not had its final inspection from the County nor have a received a response from the permit coordinator. Gardner had to return to my house to do basic cleanup that should have been completed as part of the project, my yard is still littered with screws and misc debris that they failed to cleanup on the return trip, which is now commingled with snow pack….this gift will be giving again as the snow melts off this spring. I had much higher expectations from a company that presented itself so professionally at the forefront.

Requested a job to replace the entire roof and add solar panels. Large job. The initial consultation was over a week out from the initial phone call then had to be rescheduled for another week out because of a job emergency of the project manager. Ok. After the consultation there was no communication so after 2+ weeks messaged the project manager and he said he was on vacation and would would get the estimate in a couple of days. Another 2 weeks later and no communication or estimate. Phoned the main office and also had not heard back. I cannot attest to the cost value as I never heard back from this company. If this type of project management is an indication of the work to be done, take a hard pass and find another company.Update September 2022. Made the mistake of going with this company. Installed the wrong roof with damaged tiles who will not make right. They tried to hide the damaged tiles with spray paint. 3 days after the most recent rain the gutters are holding >1 inch of water and despite the warranty or contract, they will not address or fix. There is now a California State License Board investigation pending on the company.Update 3/7/2023Still after 9 months garner roofing, as well as infinite energy, have failed to address any of my concerns. The California State License board is still investigating which takes a long long time. Many many calls receive no response other than we will get back to you or XYZ is out of the office. A BBB compliant lead to Garner stating they came out multiple times to address my issues to “make me happy” when in fact they came out only a couple to create more problems with their fixes, an installation mistake they made during installation. A warranty issue they state was beyond a warranty issue. I still have gutters with standing water day and days after a rain storm. The gutters leak and at the corner seams, they leak like it was a down spout. 1/3 of the roof still has crushed and severely scraped tile that now looks like a silver metal roof. They stated they would send the installation manager out, scheduled a date, and the day goes by with nobody coming. There is a scheduled inspection by the installation manager for 3/15 and sure that will pass with nobody coming by. For a veteran owned company, and I am a veteran, there is no integrity or professionalism in the company. The main reason why I went with Garner. The mantra of Garner and infinite energy, per the project manager Taylor that left to create his own roofing company and because of ethics with the owners, quantity over quality. For additional perspective, one photo shows the plywood they replaced that didn’t extend to the fascia board exposing the underlayment which they said was code, one photo is of the standing water in the gutters that lack drainage 4 days after a small rain storm. And finally the last picture, which shows the solution of Garner “fixing” a gutter with standing water by putting a downspout in the middle of the gutter so the entire 500+square foot of roof’s drainage pours right on top of a 45 square roof overhang with only one downspout to the ground.Service: Roof installation

Sorry to say I am dissatisfied with service. I had roof maintenance service done paying lot of $$. Broken tiles replaced.However downspouts remain clogged till this day and water continues to clog in the gutters. I will never recommend Garner roofing to any one.

Update 2/15/24:After finally connecting with their new Installation manager, she sent Forrest out to go over all the issues. He was very professional, thorough and skilled. He listened to all of my issues and, hopefully, solved the current issues. I’d give Forrest 5 stars. I should be hearing back from the Installation manager as a follow up on the work and anything else they feel they need to do to ensure the problems do not resurface.Update 1/8/24:So they sent out a crew and they quickly determined that they don’t work on TPO, which is what they installed. They should have known what crew to send. I called again and they told me they would send a field supervisor out with a specialist crew. Five days later another crew came and they did some repairs. No field supervisor came as promised. It still leaked a day after. I called to speak with management and finally a manager called me. He said he’d send out the crew again with the field supervisor. They came Monday and again, no field supervisor came. The crew couldn’t find any leak in the TPO so they felt it was the skylight they installed. I called and asked to speak with the owner. That was over a week ago and still no call from them. This is just terrible customer service. It’s been weeks and they ignore calls and voicemails.Update. They just called me to schedule a visit. I’ll update my review accordingly.They installed my roof a few years ago. I have had several leaks since. The latest one was Monday. I called and they said they would forward to their warranty department ASAP. I didn't hear from them so I called Tuesday. Got their voicemail but the outgoing message didn't even say it was Garner Roofing. I doublechecked the number and called again. I called for four straight days and got the same voicemail. Never spoke to another human so I assume they are likely out of business now.

He came out right away. Inspected the roof and found the problem right away! He did a temporary fix that day, which worked when the storm hit the next day! Can’t say enough good words about him. He let us know when he was coming. He was on time. He was knowledgeable. He answered all our questions. No more leak!

I never write reviews, but my experience with Garner has been so poor that I feel compelled to share my experiences.At first, I contacted Garner for a roof inspection. No real issues there as we got a detailed roof inspection within the time frame we requested. So far so good.The real issues came later, as I was attempting multiple times to get a hold of our inspector regarding some additional questions regarding the report and ideally get a proposal for some additional work to be done. Those outreach attempts went unresponsive. I then escalated to the managing director, who was quick to take my call and assure me all questions would be answered + a proposal would be delivered. All sounds good and previous issues would be put to rest.It's been six weeks, and I have never received any sort of proposal for further work. Instead, the sellers of my house who did contact Garner for cleaning debris from the gutters and valleys, also expressed multiple issues with working with them. Garner also wrongly sent me a change order form (which I never signed or requested) and is continuously chasing me for payment, despite that I personally never asked them for additional work. The sellers were adamant that they had paid.When I then called Garner to get an understanding of what happened, the individual whom I spoke with could not even confirm if the work had been done in the first place. So now we have a situation where it would appear Garner is attempting to double charge different parties for work that nobody can confirm if it has been completed or not.Needless to say, Garner has not only left a horrible taste in my mouth and the sellers of the house, but also both the listing and buyer side agents, who are quite prominent in Sacramento. They will be advising all of their clients proactively to steer clear of Garner for good reason.Service: Roof inspection

Recently a roof tile slid off our neighbor's house so we decided it was a good idea to get ourselves a roof inspection. We called Garner Roofing and Johnny came out to our house. He was on time and we even got a text letting us know he was on his way. His inspection was thorough and he even took pictures. As he showed the pictures he explained which each picture was and its relevance. Johnny is knowledgeable of Garner Roofing and the industry which was a plus when choosing this company to take care of our roof.Update: Today we had our roof repair done. Maurice and Richie came to our house and went over what they were going to do, then got started right away. When, they finished they recapped what they had done and they even cleaned up after themselves which we appreciate. They were quite efficient.Service: Roof inspection

Chris is a professional. He listened to my concerns. First, he looked inside, taking careful measurements and photos. Then he looked in the attic, taking more measurements and pictures. The next step was to go on the roof. He instantly noticed two cracked tiles. (I had extra, and he replaced them.) On the roof he measured, took photos, and made voice recordings. He spent a good deal of time. Back on the ground, he went back into the attic, making sure the measurement agreed. When he left, he explained the next steps and gave me his cell number in case I had questions. We need more Chris's in the world.
