I had an inspection and tune up on four appliances (furnace, A/C, water heater, electrical). The technician was EXCELLENT. Took pictures of everything and didn’t mind at all my husband shadowing him. Went over everything with us - only found one minor issue, so I feel this company is trustworthy. By the way, I had this same company install solar 3 years ago, did excellent, best decision ever!

Unqualified, unprofessional, unworkmanlike, dishonest. We hired Infinite Energy to remove and reinstall our solar and reroof our house, and remove the water cooler mounts from a water cooler that was no longer functional. We switched from cement tile to shingles. Infinite's quote was higher than others, but they were the only company that promised to complete the work before the rain season. We had a roof leak so we wanted to get it addressed quickly.Where we are now:Our solar is now non-functional due to a ground fault, which means they likely damaged the wiring somewhere. They removed the wrong water cooler so we have no cooling upstairs. The the water cooler mounts they were supposed to remove are still there and look terrible. The crew damaged our gutters after pressuring us to remove them unnecessarily. The damaged gutters, water cooler, and their trash is still in our front yard. They took my leaf blower and blew their lighter trash down the hill next to our house. They installed an unnecessary drip edge around the house. We're worried this might complicate a gutter installation. The workmanship on the roof is poor. Newly installed valleys are bent, some aren't painted, and several shingle cuts are ugly. They forgot to collect payment from us, and now they're not gonna see a dime until they at least attempt to make this right. The roof isn't leaking, that's cool.Other things I think you should know:None of the crews wore fall protection. Karissa didn't seem to care when I told her this and cited the OSHA laws.Their solar crew lead had never heard of the NABCEP Certified Installer certification, also did not wear fall protection, and told me that he didn't know how to troubleshoot a ground fault (I work in solar O&M).When they removed our functional water cooler, they left the water line on, and water was pouring off of our roof while we were on vacation. They made up three different reasons why our gutters needed to be removed and failed to provide evidence or documentation for any of them. We believe they were pressuring us for an unnecessary downstream upsell. Before they provided photos that the gutters were rusted, they claimed that there would be a spacing issue after switching from tile to shingle (should've quoted that). Then they claimed that we wouldn't pass inspection due to the rust (name that inspection?). Our sales rep said the gutters were slightly rusted and we should paint them soon. So we hired a painter and he agreed the gutters weren't that bad. We asked if we could leave the gutters on and they refused to complete the project unless we removed them. That would have left us with an exposed roof over the winter. We'd still like an explanation for why the gutters couldn't have just been left on.They attempted to install the shingles over dry-rot that was flagged by the inspector. Twice. That two times for those of you that are counting. They did not keep our site clean. I have a 16 month old daughter and she picked up a roofing nail one evening. She could've swallowed it.They initially no showed and I had to call and reschedule our project which delayed the work by one months.Karissa reintroduced herself to me as though we hadn't already been talking. They've failed to do anything except for demand payment and claim that the above issues aren't a problem. They've been radio silent for two months now. We're going to pursue every remedy available to us.Rich and Karissa - feel free to give me a call. Here's what we want:1. Our solar power system working2. A new water cooler3. The first floor water cooler hookups removed4. Your trash removed5. Confirmation that you'll honor your roof warrantyWe'll also take reasonable reimbursement based on real quotes from other contractors to fix items 1 through 3. Seems reasonable to me.

After shopping for a contractor to replace my wood shake roof, I decided to go worh Infinite Home Services. I liked the fact that they did not use subcontractors and had financing options. Noah Calderon helped manage my project, and was professional throughout the entire process, he provided excellent communication the entire time, thanks Noah! And the entire team at Infinite Home Services. Highly recommend

Infinite Energy, is a terrible company with no service to their new customer. We had four new units installed, one was left with no power to tenant and now one more unit is without heat and no one answers the phone, we had to hire another subcontractor to repair the brand new unit. their parent company Garner Roofing is worse!

As you can see in other reviews, the delays Infinite energy has is beyond reasonable. Took over 5 months to get the solar meter installed. And that is only because of the consistent calling I did to both Infinite Energy (whom by the way rarely calls back) and with SMUD myself (as well as the county). In the end, it was I that scheduled the SMUD meter install, not Infinite. Several of my coworkers have had solar installed which, from installation to PTO, took 1-2 months. Plus, I have a panel in the middle of all the panels producing 11 percent less than the others, facing the same direction no shading and Infinite says it’s normal. That is equivalent to over 10KW a month during summer. CanandianSolar, the panel manufacturers, said it’s not normal, and to get in touch with the installer. Did and they said “it’s normal.”

First, I’d like to acknowledge that the employees at Infinite have always been polite and friendly anytime we’ve communicated, and overall, I’m sure Infinite Energy is a good company. That being said, our experience has left me feeling that we may have made a mistake choosing this company, and after over 6 months from signing a contract and paying over $30K for our solar system, we have yet to see a single dollar of a return on our investment. Our system was installed back in November of 2021, and was a basic 9.6kW system that as far as we were told was straightforward residential system that would be up and running “hopefully” before the end of the year. The first problem we experienced was when the county inspector came to sign off on the project and we failed the inspection. The county inspector advised us that there were wires dangling down from the panels, making contact with the roof. “They should have picked up on that. They know better,” was the comment from the inspector. He did mention that it was a minor issue, and easy to fix. Infinite did come out the next day and fix the wires. Unfortunately, we were advised that this mistake would set the approval process back another 30 days.45 days later I still had no updates from PG&E nor Infinite. Each party stated they were waiting on the other for “paperwork processing.”Rich advised me that PG&E was basically stalling and it “was a very busy time of year for them.”I gave the process another month before contacting PG&E. This time, the PG&E representative advised me that our application had been kicked back for being “incomplete.” Apparently there was a date missing on one of the signatures. Infuriated, I asked them to send me the paperwork directly and I would make sure it was filled out myself and send it right back. PG&E’s rep then stated “I’m sorry sir, but only the installer can generate the applications to be filled out. Once they get the signatures from the homeowner, it is their job to then submit it to us.”So… my frustration now sits with Infinite, who, should absolutely make sure all of the permit applications are filled out correctly and completely BEFORE submitting them to PG&E. Especially if they know the process, and especially if they know how much money can be lost each month the systems are not up and operating. To say the least, I’m really disappointed with the way this process has turned out, and I’m wishing we had gone with another company that was more organized with their permit applications processing. At this point of the year, I estimate that we’ve lost approximately $600-$800 in electrical production. Especially considering the mild winter and spring. If you are considering this company, make absolutely sure that they FILL OUT YOUR PERMIT APPLICATIONS CORRECTLY before submitting to PG&E. Rich has been working with us to the best of his ability and said PG&E are basically dragging their feet and doing anything they can to delay the process due to various reasons.UPDATE: 4/28 and now PG&E are telling us they still haven’t received appropriate paperwork, and sent an email stating that “The finalized building permit has been received but the document was submitted prematurely.” At this point I’m considering a lawsuit but that only complicates things even more so and I doubt it matters one iota to PG&E. So frustrating.

Thank you for an excellent experience in working with you to install our 16Kw Generac generator and transfer switch. Taylor came through for us on the quote and was pleasant to work with. We received a copy of the permit application as requested and was notified by the county of the permit acceptance (inspection pending). Dennis, Devon, and Jason kept us informed of the job progress and readily worked with us when we shared a concern with placement of the generator. Carin and I are very pleased with the finished job, performance demonstration, and explanation of service & maintenance. The installation looks very professional, and the site was cleaned up before they left. Lastly, we appreciate your timely communication on all aspects of the job.

They installed solar panels on my house in March of 2022 as of now September 2022. I still do not have functional/ working solar panels that actually reduce my SMUD energy bill. I have called them each step of the way. If I call daily for 14 or more days they will complete the next step towards functional solar. Then after 2-4 weeks SMUD will send me a highly technical email. Explaining that there is another step in the process thy SMUD is NOT responsible for. And I have to call every day for two weeks to get that step completed. At this point I have given up EVEr actually having functional solar.

Infinite Energy was the only electrical service to answer my call on Christmas Eve! Dewey arrived on time as scheduled. He immediately assessed my problem of replacing the electrical line that a wind blown oak tree wiped out. Dewey’s first concerns were safety and doing the job right as quickly as possible. He clearly communicated to me what was needed at every step of the way. He helped me select the appropriate yard safety light for my driveway. I am very satisfied with the level of service received.

Remodeling an old home with funky wiring. We went through a few electricians that just didn’t work out. So we contacted Infinite Energy, held our breath, and crossed our fingers. They sent Logan out to us and not only did he do an excellent job, he was a fount of knowledge. Gave us a lot of great ideas that will make our entire project easier. Next time we have a problem, I’ll be calling these go getters. You should too.

The crew over at Infinite Energy are great! Very thorough, top notch service, products and truly care about their customer's experience. There are a lot of companies in the solar and energy efficiency arena, I can't speak for them all but know you'll feel good going with Infinite Energy out of Shingle Springs.
