Was told it was a 2 month job, Max. Before the start of winter, everything is ripped out, ready to start, papers signed, payments issued, and nothing is happening. Day, after day, after day of warm and sunny weather passes by. I keep telling them, if you want to get this done, you need to get here before the winter starts.The furnace needed to be moved... so I did that, and sat there, waiting for them to install a couple of pieces of drywall so the furnace could be moved back. I got stranded in a blizzard right as winter hit. With the project manager calling up "Oh Hey! We can't get up there in the snow!" Why are you surprised that's what I've been telling you. So I stayed, feeding a woodstove, with no kitchen, no way to wash clothes, dusty, with hole in the floor to the crawl space.After winter passed, and the project is set to restart, I am constantly being told, "just a couple of weeks of work and we are done!"During that time, they:1. Put the toilet back without a new wax ring so sewage leaked out and into the underpayment for the flooring.2. We had talked about new countertops but ultimately decided against it because our old ones were solid and still good. We didn't want the cost or the delay.Welp, they broke my countertops so we have to get new ones delaying the project. At this point I expected the clownery and was not surprised at all. More delays. Cronic didn't tell me anything about the new countertop color being out of stock and then blamed me later for picking a color that was out of stock. Except they didn't even come to get the sink measurements for a month after I picked the color so that's the real reason for the delay.3. Broke my oven hood. Yeah, just like the countertops they offered to replace it, but like the countertops and the toilet: QUIT BREAKING MY STUFF AND WASTING TIME AND MONEY!4. Didn't do like 30 to 45 minutes worth of flooring work to close gaps around tubs, between doorway, around fireplace, and the likes. Instead, they stood around under my camera, that my daughter saw, foul mouthing, and smoking cigarettes. Do you guys understand what a camera is and how it works? Over 2 acres you can stand on and this was the best location? Finish the floors, please. Just burning cigs and daylight.Meanwhile, 8 months has passed... for a project that should have been buttoned up in by April. And during that time, it's bleeding me more than $2000 extra dollars a month to maintain a 2nd place for my family to live. They will reinstall your oven hood with a sledge hammer and have a bulldozer move your countertops around. But no worries, they'll just position the toilet over the hole so you can sit and think about how happy you are that these dudes are in your life.

We had a flood on our new home one week before final inspection. We called our insurance company and they sent out a cleanup crew. We called every disaster company in Redding and only 2 responded. One was ridiculously high. So we went with Chronic. Our insurance company only wanted to pay for half the work so Chronic got together with them to get the correct amount. Not only did they show up on time but were courteous and professional. We were very pleased with the quality of work and their responses to our questions. Ryan the superintendent called several times to make sure our needs were being met. The entire team went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Mike & Terry did a great job on the drywall, cabinets & trim work! Holly helped my wife pick out counter tops & tiles which was a huge help! Jeremy got all subs lined up and met our timeframe to get the job started and completed! So thankful we used Cronic!! I highly recommend Cronic Disaster Restoration and Construction. After our dishwasher leaked last fall, we were left with a wet, damaged floor and kitchen cabinets. This was our first time opening a claim with our homeowner’s insurance and they helped make the entire process easy and as stress free as possible. If I had any questions, they were quick to return my call. The construction crew was professional, courteous, and highly skilled. They took extra care to help minimize the disruption of having a kitchen torn up while still being used. They were very friendly and took the time to talk things through with me. I had my roof leak at the start of winter and they were quick to come over and put a tarp on my roof and were able to talk to me about getting it replaced. I highly recommend Cronic Disaster Restoration and Construction. This is the first time with homeowners insurance claims as a new homeowner. Natasha is extremely helpful everything if I had a question. James also gave me a phone number that I could call or text if I had any questions about anything and was very quick to respond with any questions that I had. They put me at ease during a very stressful period.

I must say we had a great experience with this company. All work was excellent. The workers that came to the house were polite and worked hard and didn't waste any time. Our floor is just beautiful and I couldn't tell where the boards that were replaced outside. Like new.
