We had a neighbor hit a baseball and damage one of our solar panels. David with Progressive got back to me right away with a quote and gave us same day repair service. The installation went flawlessly and the price was fair. I highly recommend David for solar and I plan to use him should we ever need maintenance in the future.

I had my 7.95kW system installed in Summer of 2014. It has generated 95% of our original estimated production. (Shade from one of my citrus trees periodically shades a couple of my panels, but that's on me). I couldn't be happier with the work or the outcome!Dave and his crew are top notch. To handle the amount of power generated, I had to have a new main service panel installed and his electrician Thad is a true craftsman. (It got rid of a lot of blown fuse issues and other electrical-related issues we've had since we moved in as well!). They also have a good array of financing options as well, both bank-type as well as PACE choices.I would recommend Progressive Energy without reservation. Thanks Dave Hines and crew!

I won't ever use them again. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. All I can say is, don't use them for anything other than solar. They subcontract everything outside of it, and you'd get cheaper prices if you subcontracted work yourself. I'm stuck with a patio that leaks and artificial turf that literally melted (twice). They reinstalled the turf, and it melted again after telling me that if I had my windows tinted, it wouldn't happen again. They assisted with payment on the window tinting because they didn't realize windows can melt the turf and didn't inform me of this either. They told me this was in the turf warranty (that I am yet to be provided). They stopped calling back when I informed them of the turf melting again, even subsequent to the windows of my home being tinted.I filed a complaint with HERO, and I was told by Don they wouldn't fix anything until I dropped the complaint. HERO eventually stepped in to ensure they fixed the problems the first time around. I didn't bother filing a second complaint when the turf melted the second time around because HERO wasn't much help.There is much more to this story, including them having the nerve of asking me to write them a favorable letter after all of our negative dealings with them. I see Dave likes to respond to bad reviews. He knows there is no disputing this review, and Yelp should know I'm not some terrible reviewer. Plus, this was all documented by HERO. I should have written this long ago because I see the same thing has happened to others since I had them do this work nearly two years ago.Again, I had no problems with their solar services, but their other work was extremely problematic. Some companies should stick to what they're good at.

I called Tyler and he showed up with a mask and My wife and I Instantly knew he had respect for his clients. Tyler and the person that came with him were patient answered all of our questions, and when he did not know the answer he got the answer from another professional. Tyler's expertise and availability was spot on...we could call anytime and ask questions and he never onced rushed us.....He came peiodically to check on the progression of the roof work and he would ask "Did the crew clean up" and he would tell us what time the would arrive the next day., Of course you should check behind the crew.....we did find one area of work that challenged us ....We called Tyler and he took care of it with no problem . Progressive energy solutions also installs solar panels, well we already had solar panels up and they knew exactly how to take them off and put them back up and they did a good job. The crews were always polite and nice.Progressive energy solutions were fair in their pricing and they found out things that were wrong with our roof and did not charge us for correcting it.This company also does not nickle and dime you throughout the process......they asked for much less than 10 percent to start and they did not ask for the rest until the roof was complete.I would work with Tyler and progressive energy solutions again and I would highly recommend them.....The owner also came and checked on us also.

STAY AWAY!I am having trouble deciding what to write because there are so many bad things about this company.1. Didn't pull permits for 2/3 of the work they were hired to do. Now they won't pull them, because they "know it wont pass inspection".2. Bullied me into signing completion certificate, then basically ghosted me after with work left undone.3. They broke things and claim it wasn't them. Their fixes broke other things. Their "final" fixes were not adequate.4. Their communication skills are nearly nonexistent. They say they are coming and don't. They say they will call and don't.5. They blame the city and their subcontractor for everything bad, or the original setup, or, or, or...6. Their subcontractor was a joke, but instead of admitting that, and going after their sub for misquoting the job, they now tell me I need to pay more money to fix it.7. When I go out of my way, both time-wise and monetarily to try to work with them, they still fail to perform.In short, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.If you are already in a contract with them, DO NOT SIGN THE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE until everything is done. The day you sign will be the last time you have any regular communication with anyone from the company.I am filing complaints with the CSLB and the BBB. I will be suing them. I will go after their bond. I will keep this updated.

Since June 2015 our energy production has seriously dropped. In researching I found SIX solar panels are not working and TWO have production issues. Basically, we are not producing any solar energy at this point and our monthly bill is four times what it should be.In calling Progressive with requests to replace the Microinverters we were told, by the owner Dave Rhodes, that "he has trouble reaching the company that authorizes replacement because they put him on hold for hours, and hours". ARE YOU KIDDING ME??If this issue is not resolved immediately I will be forced to contact the Better Business Bureau and Board of Equalization.I will leave this post up, and possibly add more, until this issue is resolved. So, you might want to get it done DAVE!BTW... the solar panel installers were great and they did a wonderful job.

No service after they take your money. I have called and called and nobody answers, especially on weekends! God forbid you need service on their day off! The owner lies and their "warranty" is a joke. Save yourself the heartbreak and headachs and go somewhere else"

"They are not accredited by the BBB for a good reason! Progressive energy solutions uses misleading sales tactics and lied straight to my face. Solar might be worth it but I will never know. The worst sales and customers service I ever dealt with. Unbelievable rude. Who threatens customers! Don't believe the fake reviews, you will be sorry.
