UPDATE: Changing from 1 star to 5 star review: After my initial review was posted, Bar (managing partner) immediately reached out and scheduled a visit to assess the job site. He inspected the work and offered to remedy our experience. After another coat of sealant, a thorough clean up of the job site (including the roof tiles) and a water test to ensure sealant application was thorough, we left on excellent terms. The follow up and follow through as a result of our experience was fair, thoughtful and I am completely satisfied with the work. I would definitely recommend First Roofing to anyone else. Thank you Bar and Daniela!Original Review: My mother has a metal roof for her manufactured home and First was one of the few that responded to my request for a quote considering not many vendors handle this. She had a variety of leaks from recent storms and knew we needed some repairs. After inspection, we moved forward with sealing with silicone as recommended. Star for responsiveness and for basic communication. Minus a star for quality - silicone drips and spatters on sidewalk and NEW asphalt tiles. Minus a star for not applying the *invoiced* two coats of silicone but "one thick" coat as I was corrected via text. Minus a star for substituting an off brand of silicone and not the *invoiced* APOC 585 Armor Flex. Minus a star for everything else: Crew was suppose to arrive 8-10am, didn't show up until 3:30; we were told crew was suppose to stay "awhile" to complete the job and stayed less than an hour. And the final blow? The price. My bad for rushing to get this done for mom but it was not a fair price (I could assume why but won't) and now that I've gathered more info it was quite exorbitant considering what we got. No value at all. I could have done better with a bucket and a mop. Do not recommend.

Don’t let positive reviews fool you. People with no experience in construction don’t understand how a roof should be done.I have been in construction for 40 years. 15 of them as aProject Manager. I understand construction and the process. If it wasn’t for my experience our roof would have been a complete disaster.Their Management timeline and schedule changes are last minute. Depending on if their crews finish other jobs as they expected. Instead of telling you the truth they tell you what you want to hear. Promises of crew being there changes late end of day. I was expecting the crew one morning. I texted three of the managers with no response. I Waited till 8:30 to call the office (8:30). Owner answered and said Yes they will be there at 8:00 am. Tells you how off the game they really are.Upside for us customers is that Owens Corning guarantees their product for 25 years. Sadly First Roofing contractors only guarantees Labor for 5.One of many issues on our project was. They scheduled city inspection and weren’t even there when inspector came. No ladder on site for inspector to see the roof. They were counting on me to be there for the inspector. Not only once but twice. Another issue was the underlayment they were using wasn’t per contract. I told the installers before they started installing shingles. Tried to get them to stop installing but they didn’t. In the end they tore off all the incorrect underlayment and shingles installed. I stayed to make sure they didn’t try reusing the shingles as they now had nail holes. Contract covers up to 10% to replace damaged wood. Our 70 year old house was amazingly resilient. I’d say they changed maybe 1%. There were areas I didn’t like and asked to be replaced. They refused because the city inspector didn’t see or care.We are Paid in full as of December 20th. It’s now January 2nd into the next year and they haven’t sent our Unconditional Release. I’ve asked for the Signed City Permit.They don’t have it.Be aware our city permit fee was $302. They tried billing an extra $189 for their 3rd party holding license to do business in our city. First Roofing Contractors aren’t licensed to work in our city.

First Roofing Contractor Inc. is Fantastic.Noticing a leak at the first rain in LA, we started making calls to get on top of it. Once we agreed on the work to be done, the job was scheduled. The team arrived on time, listened to us and deliver the vision. Jonathan, our Project Manager, was very communicative throughout the projects. He was reliable, and easy to communicate with. Had a couple of leaks in our home that were pretty big. Got quotes from several roofing contractors and most suggested replacing the whole roof. Felix took a look and suggested replacing a portion of the roof instead of the whole roof. This turned out to be most cost effective option. Theywarrantied their work and we no longer have leaks.

I couldn’t be more disappointed with this company. After they did the work it was clear that I was way overcharged since it was one guy working for a few hours on two different days. I was annoyed that I was overcharged, but figured as long as my house didn’t leak it was worth it. The first time it rained after the work was done it rained in two different spots in my house. When I called to complain they said they don’t warranty their work unless they completely replace the roof. I’m still waiting for the owner to call me back.

First Roofing Contractor Inc responds in a short time since we are out of state & my sister stopped by the vacation home when they needed to do an estimate. Very friendly and knowledgeable team.
