Our initial meetings with Ryan Jensen to get an accurate estimate and a thorough understanding of our options and the overall process were outstanding. Communications with Melissa for scheduling and rescheduling due to the rain always kept us informed. The crew--Axel, Abraham, Jose and Felipe--were very professional, on time and answered all of our questions throughout the 4-day job. The permit process was simple and all handled by Jahn's team. We would highly recommend Jahn's Roofing to anyone needing a professional, well done roofing job.

I can highly recommend Bob Jahn’s roofing. We had to replace our decomposed wood shingle roof and it was quite a complicated project since it’s a halfplex and the neighbor did not want to replace her roof even though it is in the same bad condition. Nevertheless, Ryan came out to provide a very competitive quote and we discussed several options how to handle the challenge! He was handling everything from discussing the quote, being there during the re-roofing and doing the final walkthrough. I love the ”one face to the customer” approach from Bob’s team, it gives you a very good feeling.The re-roofing itself went very fast and Abraham’s team did an amazing job! In just two days they installed the OSB boards and high quality shingles on our 4500 sqft roof. They did not leave one piece of trash/debris afterwards.All in all a very good experience, competitive pricing, 10 year labor warranty and good communication (thanks to Melissa and Tiffany from the office!). I hope that we will never ever have to replace our roof – but if so, I’d contact Bob Jahn again.

I just got my new beautiful roof and new gutter done with Bob Jahn’s Roofing and would like to share my amazing experience. On the first meeting, Ryan came well prepared. He came with the layout and total square root of my whole roof without even stepping on it! His calculation was very accurate because I had a copy of the drawing of my roof from county when the house was built. He also brought with him samples of roof material and gutter screen. I was very impressed!Ryan is very knowledgeable, friendly and patient in listening and answering all my questions. Ryan explained different type of roof and materials in details and provided estimated time frame when the roof can be done.The quote (price) was very competitive! They did not ask for any money up front nor deposit.My roof is around 5000 sf but they got it done in a short time - 4.5 days in the rain season (February) including final inspection from county.I decided to go with Certainteed Presidential shake TL and new gutter.First day the team tear off the old roof in about 4 hours, then materials was delivered. Ryan and his team executed their plan so perfectly with the timing. Ryan was there to walk around with his team to check all the dry rot that need to be repaired. Branchies Maurga is the leader of his team of 4 including him, Felipe, Jose and Axel. Branchies is an incredibly talented roofer. He fixed all my dry-rot and redo all skylights flashing beautifully like the work of art! This team is an excellent roof installer.I was impressed on how timely they arrived in the morning. They were very on time for their work and they did not take break; they only took lunch break.Ryan is an awesome estimator to work with. I have called him few times for questions and he always picked up his phone or returned my call with answers!Friday afternoon Feb 16, county inspector came out for final inspection, he smiled at me and we shook hand. He said “Wow, you got a beautiful roof”. Then he signed off for final inspection.When the roof was completed I was so please with the works the team did that I called Mr. Jahn to thank him personally for providing an excellent service and having such an awesome estimator like Ryan and incredibly talented roofer like Branchies.I highly recommended Bob Jahn’s roof for your roof service. Bob Jahn's Roofing replaced my roof in September 2023. My wife and I bought a ~40 year old house with a colorful roofing history, including an original flat roof converted to gabled after a collapse in the 90s. We knew the roof would need to be replaced soon when we bought the house. As first time homeowners, Jahn's happened to be the first company we contacted about the project. I was surprised when they suggested I get other estimates so I could make a more informed and comfortable decision.After getting several estimates from other roofing companies as advised, we were most confident in Jahn's bid because not only did they offer the best warranty backed roof installation, but they also quoted us the best price. Honestly, we almost went with them after our consultation, but it became an easy choice to make after getting the other estimates.During the project, they were extremely communicative and easy to work with. Long story short, they did the most for the best price. We are extremely satisfied with the work they did.Fast forward 5 months later: we were having issues with our master bathroom ventilation (unexplained mold despite near constant dehumidifier in Winter & windows open in Summer). We eventually figured out that our master bathroom fan exhaust was incorrectly installed (without backflow flaps or true exterior duct vents) that had gone unnoticed during our home inspection. I wanted to maintain the integrity & warranty of the roof Jahn's installed, so I called them to talk about a new exhaust port into the roof that they had just replaced.Come to find out, getting the exhaust properly installed required that part of the old flat roof be removed. Jahn's sent a quote and scheduled us for later in the week. Omar from Jahn's roofing came to install the exhaust vent on the gabled roof, and then also helped us to remove a portion of the old flat roof to set up the bathroom exhaust for appropriate ventilation.This was all done for the price of installing only the vent, which was another job I got several estimates for...and Jahn's once again offered the best price, most assurance, and fastest service. Omar was also able to do all the work in a single afternoon, while maintaining the integrity roof they recently replaced. Once again, I am extremely satisfied with the service and quality of work done.I am a very satisfied client, and I would highly recommend their service to anyone.

Roof and gutter project went perfect! From day one everyone at Bob Jahn's that I interacted with was very professional and able to answer any questions I had, the lead on my project Ryan was great. Their knowledge and straightforward way made it an easy choice. I had 2 roofing companies no-show their appointment to give me an estimate. 1 who came in at double what I had in mind for a roof and 1 who walked the roof took notes but wanted me to wait almost 3 weeks to hear back from their specialist to walk me through materials and warranties and starting a quote. Easy choice, Bob Jahn's didn't come with any gimmicks or sales pitch. I'd recommend Bob Jahn's roofing wholeheartedly! They completed a full roof replacement for me in summer 2023.The process begins with a meeting with the estimator. Mine was Tiffany and she's incredible! They'll run through the two main shingle options, their pros and cons, and then do a walk around on the roof. At this time, the estimator will try to guesstimate how much dry rot to minimize surprises.I got the quote later, and the three biggest reasons as to why we went with Bob Jahn are the following:1. Having a central point of contact gave everything a personal touch. Tiffany was incredibly friendly and reachable at literally all hours, even weekends.2. Of the 10+ companies I called, they're the only company that provides a 10 year warranty on their workmanship by default. Other companies can offer you a 15 yr warranty but that typically requires additional cost. By them offering 10 year as the standard, I felt it displays a high degree of confidence in their work.3. As others pointed out, quote was definitely competitive.On the day of the roof replacement, I met the crew and they're great, efficient people. It only took them 2 days to replace the entire roof and do a gutter reinstallation. I met the owner, Bob Jahn himself! He came to check up on the work, and when I asked him about the adequacy of the downspouts, he examined the roof and even provided a free downspout (going from 7 to 8)!The only 'con' in my entire experience (not a large con) is that the gutter replacement was completed by a third party, rather than Bob Jahn employees. I noticed that the third party was a bit less careful and they did not re-seal the holes on the walls after ripping off the old gutters. I had to request Tiffany to send someone to re-patch the holes. I don't think this is the biggest deal b/c the gutter warranty is still provided by Bob Jahn, but it's something that's worth mentioning.All in all, a great experience from a local, family owned business. Professional and friendly. Reasonable pricing. High quality work. Trustworthy, talented employees. Thank you so much, Tiffany, Ismael, Omar, and Bob!

I am a new homeowner and a strong wind storm made a few shingles fly off of our old neglected roof. I saw the good reviews and pictures of Bob Jahn's work and was impressed and scheduled online for a free estimate. Tiffany called us up soon after and scheduled Ryan to come out and talk to us. Ryan was very friendly, professional and very respectful and walked us through what materials and the process would be and he even went up in the attic and roof for a quick visual inspection of what was needed. Ryan was very nice and honest. What I liked the most from him was that there is no pressure to sign anything or sell you anything you don't need. I got 3 bids on my roof and Bob's was the most fair and reasonable and had a good reputation so I went with them. I ended up going with Owens Corning Mountainside and also had them replace all my old leaking gutters with nice new seamless gutters. Hilario and his entire crew was efficient, fast and respectful and I ended up getting a new roof finished in just one day! They charge a very fair price, back up their work, have great referrals, and hold themselves accountable and are very professional. I am so happy I decided to go with this company and Ryan was amazing to work with and Tiffany always updated us with what was going on. My husband and I screened 5 roofing contractors before going with Bob Jahn’s, which is wholly attributable to Randy Biddle – the estimator who came out to discuss our project. As new homeowners, we’ve worked with quite a few companies over the last couple of years (swimming pool, landscaping, electrical) and our experience with Randy and Bob John’s was the most pleasant customer/contractor experience thus far. Our roof looks beautiful, and was assembled with quality product and experienced labor. The total cost was very fair in comparison to the other bids. Highly recommend this company and especially, Randy. He is not your average “sales” person. He’s a gentleman, extremely knowledgeable, and truly a pleasure to work with.

We had a 25 year roof that made it through this last rain season. Of all the roofing company's that we interviewed, we felt that Jahn's Roofing was going to meet all our needs and requirements. It started with Randy the sales/estimator. He was up front and explained the whole process to our level of understanding. The price that was quoted was where it should have been with the in person and internet researched on costs, and there was no surprises. We even had a skylight removed and covered over. Great person, thanks Randy. We also had contact with Tiffany the scheduler. She even came out to the site to make sure everything was on the level. Tiffany also helped install some additional insulation. However, it did not stop there. The lead installer Benjamin, was always on time and kept us informed of how the project was going. Lake Pointe Apartments in Folsom just completed there re-roofing project of 14 apartment buildings with Bob Jahn's Roofing. Buyer beware of Bob Jahn’s Roofing, CSLB#400569. Our roofing project that began on April 4, 2022 still remains incomplete as of 5/3/22. We live in a 76-year-old home with major dry rot damage that needed to be fixed prior to roof install. Bob Jahn’s Roofing neglected to recommend needed repairs on dry rot once the roofs were open, and has refused to absorb any of the cost for this mistake ever since. In addition they have been harassing us for payment and they have issued a pre-lien on our home while we have been trying to get this matter resolved.On Monday, April 4, 2022 after the demo/tear-off crew finished midday (around 12 PM), no representative of Bob Jahn’s Roofing walked us through the property in order to discuss the dry rot that needed to be fixed and/or replaced in order for the project to be completed per contract: “DRY ROT: If there is dry rot, a change order will be issued, and all will be replaced after approval from customer.”No “approval from customer” was sought on either Day 1 or Day 2. Instead, on Monday, April 4, 2022 a vague and incomplete change order was issued by Bob Jahn’s Roofing. We signed Change Order 1 for thousands of additional dollars on the morning of April 5, 2022 in good faith, assuming that all dry rot would be repaired prior to the installation of the roofs.It was not. The roofs were installed and the dry rot was not repaired.Bob Jahn’s Roofing did not repair essential rafter tails prior to the installation of the gutters. In fact, when the gutter installation team arrived they said they could not hang the gutters on such damaged rafter tails—“it’s common sense,” they said pointing to the soft, damaged wood—and left the work site within 15 minutes.On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, a Bob Jahn’s Roofing team member came on site and provided a detailed accounting of what was completed and what was not completed by the team in order to fulfill its obligations under contract, as well as under Change Order 1.On April 13, 2022, we sent a detailed email (“OUTSTANDING roof repairs prior to gutter install”) along with a Google Drive full of photographs and videos detailing the damage that was still outstanding. Instead of seeking to fix their mistakes and absorb the costs, Bob Jahn’s Roofing instead sent another change order requesting thousands of dollars more to complete the project.On Friday, April 22, 2022, Bob Jahns, the owner of Bob Jahn’s Roofing and another representative performed a walk-through inspection of our dry rot. Regarding all of the dry rot on the detached garage, Bob Jahns said that all that was needed in order to finish the garage was “some pressure washing and painting.”Some pressure washing and painting?!Bob Jahns ignored the fact that on April 12, his team had marked with an “X” all of the rafter tails and rake boards that had dry rot and needed to be fixed—there are 14 rafter tails and 2+ rake boards that need to be fixed.At this point, since Bob Jahn’s Roofing has failed to perform under contract, and has failed to adequately complete Change Order 1, we are seeking to finish roof repairs from another company and seeking to recover costs from Bob Jahn’s Roofing.While Bob Jahn’s Roofing has agreed in early May to cover SOME costs that were a result of their error, on May 13, 2022 the home failed to pass inspection with the City. Given that failure, Bob Jahns Roofing still refuses to cover all the costs that are their responsibility in order to close the permit and pass inspection.If this matter cannot be resolved in a satisfactory manner, we will be opening a complaint with the Contractors State License Board and the Better Business Bureau.

This company is really excellent, very knowledgeable, uses better materials at no additional cost and is much lower than other roofing bids for a total roof replacement. He was about $2000 less when I had him over for an estimate - which was given immediately. I'd already gotten three estimates from popular roofers in my area before being told about him. Since then I've referred at least three friends who have used him and they, in turn, have referred others to him. We had a large apartment complex roof re done. The work was done on time, if not early. They took great care to make sure the resident cars and balconies were kept clean and safe. Either the foreman or someone in the office contacted me every day to make sure things were going smoothly. Our garage roof was damaged by a recent windstorm that had relatively large broken branches flying about. One hit the corner of the garage roof splitting some wood, twisting aluminum flashing and tearing off some asphalt shingles. I called Jahn's Roofing, who we used a few years ago for some work on our roof, and was told that they were booked far out, but when I asked if they could perhaps fit us in when doing a larger jot in our area, they said they would try, and that is what they did. The work was completed today, and it was done perfectly. They even were able to find new shingles that were a pretty good match to our faded shingles that have been in place for around 25 years. Every employee we talked to was courteous and the roofing team not only left a repair that one could not detect it was done so well, but they left the work site very clean when they finished up. If you have a roofing need, Bob Jahn’s is the company that you need to contact. They are very busy (which is a good thing), but they were able to fit us in and do a complete re-roof on our home. Initially I wanted to get the eaves repaired, but with years of expertise they advised that my roof was pretty far out of repair. The previous owner went pretty far lengths to hide/cover dry rot, and Bob Jahn’s was able to determine that a re-roof was best. I’m so glad that we did because there was pretty badly rotted wood hidden underneath certain parts of the metal roof. They did an excellent job, and it looks amazing. The roofers were kind, courteous, professional and I felt like I had family working on my roof! Any question or concern I had, they addressed immediately, and the main office was completely on point with their correspondence, professionalism, and follow-up. This is an excellent company, and although I’m sure there are “cheaper” roofers out there, this company was in the middle of all my estimates (not too high, not too low), and I’m so glad I went with them because I knew I was getting quality. Our experience from the beginning to the end was a good one. Our salesperson was out quickly with samples, a competitive bid and tons of knowledge answering all our questions. Tear-off day is the crazy day because it's messy. The timing of each step from tear-off to the final product installation was outstanding. No wasted time. Our roofing crew was hard working and very diligent. They installed the new product as per code and with a beautiful result. Bob Jahn's Roofing, Tiffany, oversaw the process and answered all questions and kept us informed of each step. Owner, Bob Jahn, came out next day on time and did inspection for leak that came through my bedroom ceiling. He found concrete tile needed to be replaced. To my surprise, he had taken picture and showed me tile had a nice size hole in it. He also had taken picture of area close by that needed to be repaired from an old repair job. Next morning, received estimate like he said. His employee came as scheduled, a week and half later after the rain and did a great job in about an hour. He was scheduled 8-10 am, but started 8:00am sharp. Bob and his employee were both very professional and efficient. They both gave great customer service and did an excellent job.
