Can't say enough good things about this company! Took a leap of faith and hired an out of town company (couldn't find one in Lodi) and their attention to detail in resurrecting our 100-year-od Craftsman house was terrific! I would recommend them to anyone! They covered a house that was half original siding and half cinderblock and the house finally looks like it's complete! Thank you SO much Lon and crew!

In 2018 I was desperately in need of a whole house siding replacement. It was my first MAJOR house project and I was very apprehensive...I did my research so I knew ALL the questions to ask and I,asked them....over and over again. Some companies were a little put out to be So scrutinised but the Good News reps just smiled, pulled out the paperwork and walked me through everything. When I mentioned how other companies had reacted, my rep said that it was good to work with someone so invested.In the end, my siding was replaced and some windows and doors were upgraded. They were quick, efficient and pleasant. I couldn't recommend them more!8

We recently had windows replaced with Good News. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Their office manager, Etta was sweet and professional. (Though they are based in Roseville, they had no problem coming out to Vacaville.) Etta kept in contact with us throughout the process. First an estimator/ sales person came out to give us the cost. Then the installer, came to get precise measurements, look over the job, and explain the process. Within about 6 weeks our custom windows were ready. Our installer and his helper were careful about our house, covering all the floors, and cleaning up afterward. The job they did was beautiful. The service was exceptional, and the price was fair. I liked that Etta called after the job was finished to see if everything was to our satisfaction. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

This company is first rate! I had my siding done after having some leaks in the past storms. Thanks to this company they completed my job in record time as I was in the process of having solar installed. Lon and his crew were very efficient and timely. I appreciate them so much! I've got Good News, these guys were great. From Lon the project manager being helpful to the crew, this company does it right. I had 6 windows replaced & half the siding on my home. Installers Brian and Travis not only on time but while replacing windows kept area clean and were quick plus the quality of their work is top notch as I used to build homes and saw the work they were doing and was impressed due to level of detail plus left the area clean when they were done, entire process seamless. I would definitely recommend them and have recommended to friends in the market for new windows. We used Good News Home Improvement to install windows in our house. The entire team was incredibly professional, and worked super efficiently - six windows completely replaced and cleaned up in 1.5 days. I worked with Lon on multiple revisions of the quotes as we changed our mind, and he not only talked us through the process but had very helpful suggestions on little things we wouldn't have otherwise thought of, like soundproofing, types of locks, etc. He followed up all along the way, including and after installation. I had a very specific question about the locking mechanisms for which they called the manufacturer and quickly got me the answers I needed to make an informed decision. Roger, the owner, also called me a couple of times to check-in. Brian and Travis were great - they were considerate of work schedules and were fine with our dog, and not only was their work of the highest quality, but they were also incredibly knowledgeable about what they were doing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Good News Home Improvement to anyone!

Our whole experience with Good News Home Improvements was exceptional! From Brian the Salesman to Brian the Installer! I feel that they’re very good priced compared to the other companies we looked into. Brian has a great eye for perfection and detail. You can really see how much pride he takes in every window. Lon and Roger provided a detailed explanation of our window project. They took to the time to understand the challenges with this older home with the old windows not being installed correctly. The solution on how to replace and installed the 10 new windows was well thought out. Their team of installers work was amazing. They arrived each day and worked to have this project completed with perfect results. We appreciated the professionalism and trade expertise given to this project. I was certainly impressed with the work done by Good News and would recommend them to anyone in the area looking to upgrade siding or windows. We had our whole house resided with LP Smartside pre-painted lap siding. The product looks amazing and the white trim is also a really nice touch. Lon Catto, the rep from Good News, was super knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful. We ran into a few "surprises" as this is a 70-year-old house and he was very fair in dealing with change orders that he could not have expected during the initial bid. His installers did really meticulous work. We also had Good News install 14 new Anlin Windows and they look great! They did all new insulation under the siding and were really efficient in dealing with county permits. I should note, they also handled a few other side projects that took a level of craftsmanship that was truly impressive. Highly Recommend!!Service: Window installation

I can't say enough great things about our experience with Good News Home Improvement. We called Lon out multiple times to give us quotes as we thought and rethought which windows we wanted to replace, and he was always kind, thoughtful, and thorough. We got quotes from more than five different companies, and Good News was the best by far. Lon's entire team was fantastic - Brian came out to do the measurements and installation, and was very good. The windows look phenomenal, they were patient and talked us through the process, and worked to problem solve little things that popped up along the way. They left the house cleaner than they found it, and even went so far as blowing their dust from our driveway. When I made a joke about blowing some leaves we had, they went ahead and did that as well. Lon was present throughout the process, coming out to check the progress and make sure there were no issues. Our windows look beautiful and we can't wait to work with Good News again on our next phase!

Ed was the first person to call me back when I requested bids on Yelp and Google. He was highly rated and from the very first call, I knew I could trust him. Brian came out to my property and showed me the quality windows and doors they used. I felt completely at ease with choosing them. I found that most of my bids were in the same range, but I knew I could trust Ed and Brian. They did a fantastic job installing my new slider doors and their crew was professional and took the time to protect my furniture and cleaned up after themselves. We hired Good News to install new windows in 4 rooms in our home - 2 replacement and 4 new construction. The aesthetic appeal and value these windows added to our home are beyond words. They have turned rooms with basic, cheap, boring sliders into something out of HGTV. The crew that did the construction was extremely professional, did beautiful work, and left the house cleaner than it was when they first arrived. The work started on time and took just as long as the sales rep from Good News said it would. The price he gave us was very fair. This company was so wonderful to work with. They sincerely care about quality and treating their customers right. They will bend over backwards for you. We couldn't be happier.

We have used Good News Home Improvement several times and HIGHLY recommend them. They have installed windows and siding for us. They were professional, polite and very competitive on price. I would HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for new windows, doors, or siding. They install quality products do not pressure you and treat you well. If there is a problem they take care of it, even if it was not their fault! (One of our new windows leaked after the rain because of the way the roof was pitched, they were able to fix it even though it was after the warranty expired!). Professionals and wonderful to work with!!!

I had all my windows, patio door, front door, side garage door, and siding relaced by Good News Home Improvements. My home is 30 years old. It had all the orginal windows and t-111 siding that was in very bad condition. Lon was very helpful on helping me decide what new siding to put on my house. I chose LP Smartsiding. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Our home looks beautiful. The work crew were very polite, and worked very hard. They did an excellent job. I don’t often take the time to write Reviews but I did want to share our awesome experience dealing with Good News Home improvements, and the true professionalism of Lon Catto. After getting two initial estimates to re-side one side of our house and finally saving enough money to do the project, Lon came out and looked at it. After talking with him, he was glad to do the project, and gave us several good options that were much more affordable then the other quotes. he let us know that with a good painting, and replacing some small trim pieces we could probably get 5-7 more years out of our current siding. After getting a couple quotes from 7000-9000$ from other contractors, hearing Lons professional opinion and recommendation was great, and we definitely have more projects that we could use that money on.. This was also week 4 of the Covid-19 shelter in place order, when a lot of contractors and home improvement specialists are having business dry up. It speaks to Lon’s character that he was looking after the best interest of people he just met, rather then make a quick buck.If we need any projects done in the near future we are definitely going to use this company, and if you’re looking for a contractor that is honest and professional I would highly recommend Good News Home Improvement.

They did a great job. We are very pleased with the finished job. Ed Holiday came and was very thorough in his recommendations. I also appreciated that he was very concerned with my budget and wanted to do the best for me and keep the job with in my budget. Once the work began his Forman Anthony saw that more of the siding needed replacing then we originally expected. I was thankful for his advisement and they were more than reasonable in the new estimation of cost. Unfortunately it was well over 100 degrees when the work was taking place and I was concerned that the men would be pushing themselves too hard but they did a great job. We had a few minor touchups that needed addressing after they left and they were extremely responsive and came right back out to make us happy. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and I will be keeping their number for work on my place in the future.

Best Company Ever,I had almost all my windows replaced in my house in February.I got several quotes from a few companies and many that came in and wasted my time with nonsense and ridiculous quotes.I got Ed's (Good News) card as a referral and decided to give them a chance.Ed came and listened to what I wanted, didn't try to sell me more and didn't push, he was honest and nice and the quote was exactly what I was expecting, fair and detailed.we booked the job and within 3 weeks got our new windows installed.the crew was amazing, did a great job and worked hard and fast (in the rain).they were polite and communicated all the details needed as the job went on.Ed, I want to really thank you for a job very well done and I will and do recommend this company to anyone that is even considering a window project, give Ed a call....

Not only are they the most honest window company out there, they're also the most affordable by far. They guarantee their work and the sell you the best windows at a fraction of the coat of those other guys. I have used them twice and never have a regretted using them. Call them, you will be amazed by how much you will save for the same windows those other guys offer and falsely claim that they are the only ones to have them.

Good news did a wonderful job on my property, very mindful of the cleanup. A year or so after I called them because there was a small space that was opened and a bird decided to make a nest in there. That gave the bird access to my garage and it would dive bomb me when I would go in. I called them and explained my predicament and they were out and covered that hole after the babies had left the nest. They were wonderful I didn't know if they would come and do it. They were very willing and I didn't even have to be home when they came. I would recommend good news not only for the impeccable work they did on my siding but also for the caring about my predicament

I had a great experience with Ed, Roger, and the Good News guys. They work with SMUD to make the financing really easy, and the prices were a lot lower than I was expecting. Since Roger handled all the SMUD paperwork, I got a 10 year financing through them and didnt have to put any money down on getting work started, so this was a no brainer.My previous windows were original from 1960 (ranch style home, single pane windows), and these actually keep the Sacramento summer heat out. Last summer I bought my house, and had to run the AC almost 24/7 to keep my house still around 70 degrees. After getting these new windows, I haven't needed to run the AC at all, except for a handful of times. I'm looking forward to not freezing my bolas off this winter and running the heater 24/7 (literally).I have several huge windows, and 2 sliding glass doors and it only took Good News 1.5 days to finish, which was incredible. It was all really easy to do and not a hassle at all with the preparation, work, and cleanup, and the time it took surprised me, my parents, and friends I've told.If price is holding you back, they did my whole house for less than $10k and its financed through SMUD over 10 years so the payments are low, and cost just about as much as what I'm saving so far on my electric bill, so price is not a reason to hold off.
